(Wrote a little song parody sang by Belle set in a timeline where Eggman kills the Restoration)

I saved every trinket you made me
From the moment I used them I knew you were mine
You said you were mine
I thought you were mine

Do you know what the Elder said when we saw you first arrive?
He said be careful with that one love, he will do what it takes to survive

You and your words flooded my senses
Your sentences left me defenseless,
You built me palaces of paragraphs,
You built cathedrals.
I'm reusing the trinkets you gave me
I'm searching and scanning for answers in every code line
For some kind of sign

And when you were mine
The world seemed to burn, burn.
You published the letters she wrote you.
You told the whole world how you made the Restoration dead.
In boosting your name you have ruined our lives.

Do you know what the Elder said when he read what you'd done?
He said your Dad's an Icarus; he has flown too close to the sun.

You and your words, obsessed with your legacy,
Your sentences border on senseless,
And you are paranoid at every paragraph how they perceive you!

You, you, you!

I'm erasing myself from the narrative.
Let future historians wonder how Belle reacted
When you broke her heart.
You have torn it all apart

I'm watching it burn,
Watching it burn.
The world has no right to my heart.
The world has no place but to mourn the dead!
They don't get to know what I said.
I'm burning the memories,
Burning the letters that might have redeemed you

You forfeit all rights to my heart.
You forfeit your place in my head,
You are now dead to me instead!

With only memories of when you were mine.

I hope that you burnnnnn!

Yeah, I have been completely wondering about how do we deal with Belle not completely flipping the board with us on the whole destroying the restoration? Because we need to unlock all our second actions because we have a lot of actions and the QMS have practically said this and confirmed this the only way to unlock our second actions is by completely destroying each fraction.

Heavy nodded. Bomb was right. They couldn't afford to play with this thing. It was time for a tag team attack! Heavy readied his water pack and grabbed Bomb in both hands, shielding him. Several beams hit Heavy, but only managed to create some minor scorch marks on his body.

The two suddenly rocketed forwards, surprising the beast. Heavy rocketed upwards before just as quickly diving down into the monster, spearing into the nearby sea floor. At which point, Bomb detonated.

*BOOM!*

And again.

*BOOM!*

And once more for good measure.

*BOOM!*

As the dust settled, Heavy and Bomb were surrounded by the remains of the creature and a good deal of rubble. Heavy poked at what was once a limb of the beast.
Holy shit that was actually really cool.
If I'm reading that right, Heavy and Bomb just rocket jumped straight down several times, to mulch the thing with the power of physics.
That's actually an awesome use of their abilities.

A/N: I think this is the most I've written since high school... at any rate, here's an omake about Scrapnik Island, and also the Vortex Drone that was stealing shit from them, and why that was a terrible idea. Hope this qualifies for that omake bounty!

This was really good overall, but in particular I really like the mental image of Bomb developing this "Womanizing Jerk with a Heart of Gold" personality lol

I will clarify, when we say "take out" that doesn't necessarily mean you have to go nuts and murder everyone to the last man as long as they are no longer a functioning threat

But that's all I can say on the matter XD

Excuse me, QMs I have a question and I don't know if you answered this or not, but do our organic grunts like the eggclan gain HP at the start of the next turn when they're not in combat like our hero units?

I was also thinking like that as well, but thank you for the clarification a little bit. It's just that once we start fighting against the restoration I feel like it's gonna be really hard to convince Bell that this is actually a pretty good idea.

If I'm wrong I am sure I will be corrected, but to my knowledge the stance is "If the Egg Clan or potential future organic forces like Darscens and Majima Construction lose all HP in battle they're dead and therefore gone forever unless replacements are trained"

Oh wait rereading the question

Uhhh... I believe they would be able to do that yeah

Guys, I just came across some very interesting information apparently the good doctor bad boon is a king according to the Sega All-Star document…so… do you think it's time for us to see what kind of brilliance he has?

Just to stop people from getting TOO hyped, similar to how we cut Metal Sonic and the Hardboiled Heavies as Kings, Dr. Bad-Boon is not a King in this setting

As shown in his segment in the potential minion talk, he actually lost

Do we have any uses for another scientist right now?
Besides the fact that we can probably get some tech from him and probably have another brain hero that we can assign with actions that would be pretty good for us, but still meeting a pretty decent brain hero

That's fair, it would've been interesting, but that's the QMS decision so how many kings did you cut out I'm actually a little bit curious?

The tech fair, but what kind of technology does he have?

How many scientists do we need, cause I think we're getting to many now as for actions we don't exactly have a lot to assign heroes to.

...Cut as in he isn't as strong or he doesn't have territory?

Cause even if he lost a potenial King is still bound to be pretty powerful.

People sleep on those two, but they only need a little creativity to be extremely dangerous!

Thanks, I mostly put that in as a joke, but I'm glad I did! He doesn't have enough characterization across media!

This is all overall strategy, longer spanning than the conflict with the Zeti that we're all focusing on right now, but here are my thoughts:

I think that letting them strike the first blow goes a long way towards that. Which, while Whisper isn't actually a Restoration member, she has worked for them in the past and may do so again if she's driven out (not advocating for this, just pointing out that a failure to kill or capture her can offer benefits).

There's also subverting them. Allying with GUN against the Black Arms hasn't removed options to infiltrate them or even raid their base (although, I imagine that doing the latter would incur a sizable loyalty hit to anyone even remotely honorable in our roster). Hitting their ability to resist and reducing their will to do so through benign methods, especially if we have our Eggman shows that he's not using the same playbook that they expect from him and isn't as evil, might make a dominating military victory less necessary.
Curing NIDS, the propaganda options we've unlocked, liberating Darcsen, etc.

In general, for mid-term strategy, I think the Empire should be the next target after the Zeti. They have a Chaos Emerald, they have Selvaria, and Max is supposed to be a full on King rather than a Prince. They've also taken a heavy hit from Zor, leaving them vulnerable. We don't want them time to build back up. That'll give us a second and third action, which gives us time to do the above and may even make it easier.

I'm also open to a minor effort towards an alliance against the Black Arms, like we currently have with GUN, as I've stated before. Trying that before rolling all over them should lighten Belle (and Honey)'s hits to loyalty, even if it fails. If it succeeds? More time for the above, general build up, securing Belle and Honey's loyalty to survive any hits from conquest, and there are arguable benefits in the action economy.
  1. Less actions devoted to breaking them, meaning we get out of the Green Hill bubble faster. Meaning that other Kings have less time to advance their own goals. Eggman is behind everybody timeline-wise by design. Getting out of Green Hill faster, even if his own faction is somewhat weaker, is a trade-off.
  2. A few smaller factions have more actions than one super faction. We get one action from dismantling a faction, but all their others are lost. Which means that they can spare actions to deal with problems that we don't have to, at the cost of having one less action ourselves.
Focusing back on Belle though, Eggman needs to take the Talk to Belle personal sooner or later. Additionally, the stronger the connections Belle makes, not just with Eggman but his whole roster, the harder it is for her to leave. I have been emphasizing and building her and Metal's relationship mostly because I love the potential dynamic, but also because it's legitimately useful for us.

All this make sense or seem viable?

Alternatively, Belle flips and takes our whole roster with her, but that just means that we've been playing Belle quest all along.

We're not going to be able to defeat the Empire without our second actions. I am pretty sure there won't be third actions too. Most CK2 quests do not use them because they become too much work for the QMs.

I also doubt the Empire has a second action. They didn't have territory in the Green Hills at the beginning of the game. They spent the first turn conquering a foothold in the Green Hills. Other than that, it would thematic sense for the second actions to all be attached to Sonic factions in the first place. The second actions are specifically locked behind factions in the Green Hills. There are three open factions and two secret factions left.

It is is practically impossible to have a long-term alliance with GUN and the Restoration as you propose. They would object to Eggman conquering any territory. There is nothing to be gained for Eggman keeping them around, it would just be inviting them to strike us when we are vulnerable. Trying to fight other Kings without second actions, around the entire world, is just going to go horrifically wrong.

Belle is not going to take the whole roster with her. She certainly won't take the most important heroes. Personally, I'm not to fussed if Belle, or other good-aligned heroes, quit once we win the Green Hills. That's the training wheels coming off. We're Eggman.

Edit: Forgot to post this.
Well the Hacking action only take badnik that were around Zeri territory instead of his forces used on the raid so while cool the concept I doubt it would happen that way.

It all depend how Chuck action will go.

For all we know the guy already develop the anti-virus and want to use it as a bargaining chip as a example.

If the signal still there we could use Stone to help or we can use the Sisters to help on the action, and put Orbot&Cubot to make the factory on Egg City with some Quinzons since combined with every thing the action is a autopass as long we don't roll a Nat 1.

However we do need to make Honey shop until turn 7 at least since she will want her shop back at some point.
The hacking action mentioned that it wasn't cleansing the entire Eggnet because it'd risk Sage too much. Delivering the countervirus should cleanse it all, more or less anyways. Most of our planning relies on what the results of rescuing Chuck are. But I doubt he would have developed an antivirus that can restore our control without action investment. We're still Eggman, even if X is not the worst variant of him.

I can see wanting to make a factory. It depends on if we can and want to reclaim our territory next turn. I'd like to make Egg Drones. I still feel odd about recruiting Honey. She doesn't really inspire... any interest for me as a hero.
