We probably need to rebuild her shop before we have access to new uniforms for our troops.

It might also up new fashionable defensive upgrades for clothes in the future too.

Bulletproof clothing

Starlines first payment...and definetly the best customer besides eggman himself.

or rather Bulletresistant clothing is more like it, with some padding here and there over vitals to slow bullets down more.

as it is, lets hope we have enough omake rewards to get chris and chuck, as well as finish the adventure going on. Starline, you need to get that dang conch!!!

Nah we litteraly make the clothes from John wick that are bulletproof

Honey might have a personal action to make clothing for a hero units like how we have options to make personal equipment and Bellle with personal trinkets

We should have Belle and caana hang out so they can get a trait together for the adventure

Honor Between Minds New
Honor Between Minds

Chuck would not lie in saying that he was nervous about this state of affairs.

As he quickly attempted to cover his virtual tracks - less for other people online, more in the case that Master Zik attempted to sniff out if he was trying to betray him - the Thorndyke genius reflected that he never expected to ask Eggman, of all people, for help.

If Chris were here, he would likely protest at how things were going, and Chuck wouldn't blame him. They were talking about the man who released at least three different types of evils in the world, once built a moon-sized satellite and blocked the sun to hold the world hostage and was overall a menace for Sonic's world for years.

At the same time, Chuck was also very much aware he would be better than these Zeti that were holding them hostage.

It was such a misfortune how they ended up there. They were working to stop Eggman from going through his latest scheme - something about the kingdom of Murasia? Chuck had so much in his head he couldn't even bother to remember now - and in the next moment, everything went bright and they appeared back into the mansion, only he and his grandson. No signs of any of their employees, not even the ever-loyal and energetic Ella. Their mansion was close to Station Square, but Chris was quick to realize things seemed off...right when the explosions began.

The next days were chaotic. The duo, ever charitable, let a few refugees enter their lands for safety, the mansion now turned into a safe haven. Meanwhile, G.U.N. tried to bring order to the region but was splintered into a combat of many factions trying to claim being the "true" one and it was overall a mess of a faction war with lots of in-fighting and allies turning to enemies.

But things were getting better. Clearer minds prevailed and a united front formed. This "Neo Metal Sonic" fell in battle - when did Eggman even built that?! - and the machines of the Egg Empire fell in disarray. Chuck was even thinking of offering his intellect and resources in order to help things calm down further, maybe even to those nice fellows of Resistance - that Whisper girl had hit pretty well with Chris over their shared admiration of Sonic...

And then one day, Chris brought home a seemingly injured red giant.

It was a stormy day. Chris left with some other people to help fix some electrical issues the system of the manor was having when they came across a wounded red giant in their field. Worried by the seemingly grave nature of those injuries, they decided to return him to the mansion for treatment.

Oh, their carelessness. No one wondered how he even passed through the defenses Chuck had installed.

It was then a nasty surprise when he righted himself up and caught his dear grandson by the throat before a wave of Badniks surrounded them. Followed by five other monsters, all surrounding their home.

The terms of Zavoc were simple: work for him, and not the hair of a single person currently in the mansion would be touched. Chuck had tried thinking other options, but Chris was in their grasp: he had no other choice but to comply to their demands...

Zavoc kept his word. He barked for his Badniks to take everyone out of the mansion, then ordered the Badniks to open fire, much to their shock. And, to further add to the wound, they set fire to the building.

The Thorndykes could only watch in horror as their home crumbled into pieces. Zavoc simply said:

"You belong to me now. Don't forget it."

He and Chris were split apart, the boy being held over his head as a silent Sword of Damocles to make him comply in hacking Eggman's machines, and submit them to their will. To work on machines for them as they tried to walk over Green Hills and make them their personal empire.

Is it any wonder that he was willing to accept help even from Eggman?

In truth, his hope was that Tails would be the one to see his desperate plea for help, which would lead to getting help from Sonic, Knuckles and the whole gang perhaps. He wasn't even sure if the little fox was in Green Hills, he realistically could be anywhere!

But the Eggman he knew had standards. Moral lines even he wouldn't cross. Chuck knew they wouldn't have their lives threatened. But Chuck would be foolish to not have a backup.

So he let them in. Left enough holes they wouldn't suspect a thing, that Zavok wouldn't catch to anything. He still worked hard, but Eggman was on fire apparently, as they teared through this EggNet and got loads of information and recovered the control of some Badniks. But they didn't have enough time to cover the trail, and next thing they knew, he had their location figured out.

Blackmailing wasn't something Chuck liked to use, but desperate times called for desperate measures. Now all he could hope was that Eggman would take the bait and-

YOU ARE BOLD.

He blinked at the message that appeared. Instinctively, his hands moved to protect the stolen data.

DISAPPOINTING. WAS HOPING TO SURPRISE YOU.

He licked his lips and wrote:

'If you expected to surprise me, you would have been better not saying anything to me.'

INDEED. PERHAPS I UNDERESTIMATED YOU. A MISTAKE THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.

Chuck tapped his fingers against the keyboard, before writing:

'Are you with Eggman?'

INDEED. YOU MAY REFER TO ME AS SIMPLY SAGE. I EXPECTED TO USE A HOLE IN THE CONNECTION TO SEIZE THE DATA YOU STOLE BACK BUT ALAS.

Chuck wisely refrained to talk about the five backups he did of the data - two in a closed circuit he developed unknown to the Zeti.

'Let's say I did take precautions. This data is only getting erased when I want to and not a moment after.'

THAT'S THE PROBLEM, ISN'T IT?

He paused.

'What you mean?'

I MEAN THAT YOU HAVE...ALL THE CARDS, AS THEY SAY. YOU COULD KEEP THIS DATA IN ORDER TO BLACKMAIL US IN THE FUTURE.

'I am a man of my word. If I am taken out of here, neither G.U.N. or the Restoration would known about it unless you wanted to. Eggman knows I'm not the type to say hollow promises, unlike him.'

UNFORTUNATELY, DOCTOR IS NOT CURRENTLY CAPABLE OF SPEAKING IN YOUR FAVOR. SO, ONCE AGAIN, I SAY I HAVE LITTLE REASON TO BELIEVE YOUR WORD.

'Not available? What about that presentation a month ago? Didn't...'

Then Chuck remembered the reports of Eggman seemingly being wounded post-battle by a mysterious assailant. Records of Badniks were scarse but...

'I see. So, in this case, trust in my word as a man of science. This is the best guarantee I can offer you in the moment.'

Silence. Then, after a minute, Sage answered.

YOU PROVED CAPABLE OF TRACKING US. THEREFORE, I SHALL BE INCLINED TO BELIEVE YOU. BUT BE WARNED...

The screen glowed red for a moment. From the speakers, a girl's voice said:

"Attempt to double-cross my father, and you will WISH to still be prisoner under the Zeti."

'Did...did she just went through my securities on that level?'
The screen returned to normal.

UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE LITTLE TIME TO DELETE YOUR MATERIALS. THIS BATTLE YOU WON FOR NOW, AND THUS WE SHALL PROVIDE RESCUE FOR YOU.

Then a png of a hand washing the other appeared on the screen.

FOR NOW, FAREWELL CHUCK THORNDYKE. MAY THE FORCES OF THE EGGMAN EMPIRE LEAD YOU TO SAFETY.

The man waited for a few moments, wanting to see if she still remained on his computer. Seeing there was no sign of Sage, he put his back against the chair and slumped, tiredness taking him over.

Was...was he over his head with this plan?

...

Likely. But Chuck couldn't let doubt blind him. It was already lucky Zik didn't intercept his first message. Now he would be in high alerts from the clusterfuck that was the raid against Eggman.

He had no choice.

It was all or nothing for him and Chris.

… we need to take down the zeti now. Both to grab chuck but more importantly whatever they've been studying that sort of dark power has Consequences ( the capital here is important) attached to them. I think they've dig into something they really shouldn't have.

Even putting aside whatever dark pact their using inevitably letting something worse out it let him solo a Valkyrie and her forces.

If Gun is offering a ceasefire we take it. We show them what happened and we make sure we're on the same page.

Well everybody by now have ample Eggtech to experiment thanks to Zavok and hacking badniks is nothing new in the Franchise. We will no doubt rewritten the entire badnik code in order to make sure this virus can't be used again so even with Chuck they would not get much besides giving the Restoration another Brain Hero.

Also we negotiate Thudnerbolt in exchange of a joint op to rescue Chuck. Scratch my back and I scratch yours. If necessary we trow Zomon and GUN should be able to contain that idiot bribing with food.

Zenna is more smarter than that fat blob and tricky to handle so is better we keep her close.
There's a difference between studying Eggman's technology from the scraps left behind by badniks you destroyed and being able to study his technology in the center of his power. We're obviously going to be able to counter the virus, but Chuck has a lot of insight into how Eggman's operations work. That will be a significant advantage in war. How many people do you think have experience using Eggman's infrastructure to build Tier 3 Badniks? It's not a lot!

Trying to get Thunderbolt out of this is just a bad deal. We aren't pressed enough for heroes to do that, it'd weaken our position too get Chuck's notes. I'd be willing to trade Nephthys for Chuck, but we aren't talking to the Restoration. Throwing Zomon in to make this deal happen makes it even worse. We don't want GUN to get the opportunity to study and replicate the Zeti's technopathy. The Zeti are problem enough, we don't need to spread their powers any further.

You know it is funny considering some recent research.

They may know about our normal alloy to even our usual power sources.

But we have gotten some stuff that could throw curveballs.

The ragnite alloy, the ragnite generators to even the power rings reactors.

Ragnite in general is something we haven't seen other people try to use so they probably don't have much knowledge on it.

So while they could get insight in some stuff, we can make certain info fairly out of date by changing our usual stuff.

But as I said, we only give them the location of the scientist and and the joint operation as long as we get a copy of the full research.

Nothing short of that will change our minds.

We both kick out of the D6 a valuable resource, while we get all the info they got out of Chuck.

As I said I want to be careful with this operation as the QM's haven't been painting a good light on our chances for this.

Don't you think you are exaggerating a little?

True Chuck has insights on Eggman's technology but is not a whole lot, GUN already manage to crack Eggtech somewhat so that's not even somethign new. Also Eggman infrastructure is being controlled by that virus and Eggman probably leave all his notes and blueprints behind on his base that the Deadly Six are current using so Chuck is not building robots and other stuff from scratch while we can do it with our barehands. The only thing Chuck would need to do was give a look at the plans and notes the doctor left behind, like Silver Sonic, and build the thing, that stealth technology was a invention of his own but is nothing game changing.

Also you have to remember study the mysteries of life is Eggman whole gimmick if the GUN or the Restoration have the Lance to study the only thing they would get is some new insights on ragnite and some new questions, we are the ones that are capable to replicate the lance and Valkrya technology from old.

At best GUN would get from Zomon would come up with ways to stop they own robots to be controlled by the Zeti. We would be the ones that open options to replicate the effects of Zeti powers.

Sure both GUN and the Restoration is dangerous but Eggman is a whole another level and his technology is extremely advanced even Tails struggle with them most of time and we have optiosn to even make the standard outdated by goign to Rings and ragnite.

Also there's X!GUN that manage to perfectly reversed engineer one of Eggman's Super Badniks in Sonic X, our tech already been cracked wheater we like it or not.

God, we are fucked with everything going on.

Damnit Chuck, it would of been another month, but we were coming for you old man!

This is just more and more crap on the shit sundae that is this rival report has gone through. Imagine, getting through mostly unscathed from the Zeti attack, only to potentially suffer major damage from Rouge and Omega

...Honestly I'm satisfied with the fortune.

Personally I'm betting on Snivley, and Selvaria/Max.

Seems the Adventure will be interesting. I wonder if we have a 'Galla' on our hands.
Zavok
Fend Off The Empire DC: Contested By Empire
100 + ??? = 207
NATURAL CRITICAL SUCCESS

...I'm sorry you had to go through that Selvaria.

If I had to guess Zor used a mental attack and considering her past...

Well dealing with the Empire will be a little easier at least.

Shadow got beat into the ground again, and it sounds like the Black Arms might have lost an Elite or maybe even Hero unit.

Gun/Rogue...we'll have to see there.

And Chuck...well he saved us a turn...yay? Hopefully the new action isn't too difficult.

The QMs promise is not as bad as it looks, the fact the Interlude is call Batty Dealings imply Rouge come there because she probably believes we are holding Shadow not to attack us.

Omega is the one that burst down the doors.

And Chuck...well he saved us a turn...yay? Hopefully the new action isn't too difficult.

The QMs confirm is a high DC, we have the opportunity to collab with GUN to rescue him to increase the odds of the actions success.

Say, why are Rouge and Omega listed as independent? They work for GUN in most timelines. Something to think about....

We're gonna have to take whatever ceasefire we get offered, I think. We just don't have the resources to do otherwise. We might be able to sweeten any deal by offering up the Thorndykes. Not like we really need them, or anything, memories aside.

Maybe we can use GUN or Rouge to make the extraction easier?

It's Rouge. I don't trust that bat as far as we can fucking toss her with the Darc-Egg Robot. Not to mention Omega's going to make a mess of everything.

And I refuse to collaborate with GUN on this. That's just asking for trouble.

Except we DO need them. To purge the virus infecting the Badniks.
My guy it screws over the zeti
If its easier I'm fine with it
It screws over us. GUN isn't a great ally for us when they have their shit in order.

The fact it's internally split in many factions from many continuities? They're just as likely to blow the whole operation into smitherines or take Chuck for themselves to use his virus against us as they are to actually help.

I imagine this is they last job as independent before going back to GUN, they probably think we are holding Shadow when we took over the Black Arms Fortress.

Except we DO need them. To purge the virus infecting the Badniks.

Not if we get Chuck research and that's implicit will be part of the deal with the collab and GUN probably would agree. After all Dr. Eggman is not much help against the Black Arms without his empire.

Most likely a disagreement on how to handle Shadow, the GMs hinted at splintering going on behind the scenes in GUN

Team Dark wants Shadow back, some of GUN wants him dead most likely.
