    "Father" A very familiar voice called for Eggman, causing him to turn towards the visitor. It was his daughter Sage in the body of one the badniks, a motobug, (he really wanted to fix that, but his girl deserved better than a rush job. No, Eggman decided to build her the best body possible)
    "I have a question, is about Metal"

    Eggman freeze on the spot, did she know? he asked himself. No, he need to remain calm and not give anything away, she might not know anything after all, he had relax. "Metal?, he should be back already. Have you checked his room?" And more important, had he said anything?. That Metal lacked a voice would not stop Sage if she put her mind to it.

    "I know, but that's not important" That helped Eggman calm down, it was not about Metal himself, so she was unlikely to know anything. Yes, he probably made a mesh somewhere or broke something and Sage was just informing him, good. "I was taking care of the maintenance of the biodata base, when i found some unusual data"

    That did the opposite of calming Eggman down actually. Unusual data?, from who? or worse, from what?. He tried to think as many excuses as he could, but some of the biodata Metal could have collected from that place, how would one excuse some of those things?. "Mmmh, some unusual data you say?, some of the badniks perhaps?, he do that sometimes" Some fireballs, a turtle shell or even lightning, he could pass as some discarded badnik design. But the pink one?, there was no good excuse that could cover that one up.

    "It's not from a badnik, it appears to be from some kind of... gorilla?" All of his worries washed away instantly, the gorilla. Making excuses for animal biodata was not even an inconvenience, you could get that with some badniks at the zoo. "Here, let me show you"
    King of the Jungle Zone:
    Metals body bulks up and grow slightly, increasing Power by 2. His newfound mastery of gorilla warfare, a combination of acrobatics, throws and flexing, grants him +5 to combat rolls, and another +10 if fighting with a barrel.

    In combat Metal get access to this actions

    -Overlord Fist (1 AP): Metal charge up an attack, allowing him to attack an enemy and add +10 to his roll or save the charge for next turn. If the charge is saved, next turn Metal uses Overlord Fist automatically, adding +20 to his attack and rolling with advantage.

    -Spark Fist (0 AP): Metal charge up electricity and attacks with a fast but weak blow, adding -10 to his attack. (Incompatible with Overlord Fist)


    It was some decent biodata, Eggman thought, even good if Metal had a barrel, didn't some of his Egg Fighters use barrels against Sonic?. Perhaps making a barrel weapon was not a bad idea, maybe a convertible barrel-hammer?. He pushed those thought aside for now and focused on his daughter, explaining this one should be easy. "Ah, yes, the gorilla data. Metal did went to retrieve a gorilla recently, for Rusty Rose, she likes animals"

    "Of course!, that makes a lot of sense. I had noticed that she liked watching animals, but did not consider that posibility." She sounded so convinced that Eggman could only feel bad about having to lie to her, but the rules were the rules. "I'm sorry for wasting your time, father"

    Sage wasting his time?, never "Non sense, i always have time for my little girl" And if he didn't?, then he would make it, one way or another.

    Just hearing Sage happy made the stress of the conversation worth it, now he would put it all behind him and-"Just one more thing, father" Oh, come on, it was so close!. Had he missed something? "Why would Metal go to catch a gorilla for Rusty, why not send Orbot and Cubot for that?"

    He could think of several reasons to not send those two to fight a gorilla, but none of them would convince Sage of the necessity of sending Metal. Perhaps, he should try to be less logical, after all, Sage was a very bright child but a child nonetheless. "It was Metals idea, he went to catch the gorilla for Rusty, to impress her" he lied as easily as he breathed, blaming another for the problem more as an art than a skill.

    "To... impress Rusty?" She sounded confounded by the concept. Good, let her forget about the biodata of the gorilla and focus into something more... flashy. "But why would he want to impress her? I was not aware they interacted much."

    They did not, but they interacted sometimes, and that was more that many of the "pairings" people got invested into. "Well, Rusty is a female hedgehog and Metal looks like a male hedgehog" He was starting to get carried away, none of this made any sense, but Eggman had not much knowledge nor care about romance, so he had to... improvise "And well, he is at that age" He was not, as a robot he lacked that age, but logic rarely stop people with this things.

    "Are you saying, that Metal likes Rusty!?" Sage sounded unusually happy with that, he had no idea what she was thinking, but it was not about the biodata. It was time to close this up.

    "Yes" An smile almost as false as my words grew on my face, it was now or never. "But he is very shy about it, so don't tell him you know. It will be our little secret"

    "That's wonderful!. Don't worry father, i will keep it a secret" He continued smiling as she leaved the room, leaving him alone with his guilt. To make it worse, now he had to send Metal to capture a gorilla for Rusty before Sage notice she does not have one.

    He sat down in silence, pondering over the events behind that conversation. It had been some days ago that the damn plumber arrived to give Metal his invitation. Eggman almost had Metal get rid of him on the spot, the nerve of appearing here after canceling the Olympic Games only because that blue rat was missing. But this was too important for Metal.

    That italian fool explained everything to his boy, how the greatest fighters across the multiverse reunited themselves to hone their skills. How they fought against each other in tournaments to prepare for future threats. And how they had been inviting that blue annoyance for years, as if Eggman did not know that.

    For Metal, this group was a dream come true. All the fights and strong enemies he could wish for and the chance to show everyone that he was the best Sonic. And so his boy joined this group, The Brotherhood of Superlative Smashers or as it was colloquially know, The Super Smash Bros.

    A very gandiloquent and lengthy name, so everyone choose to just call it the Smash club. But not everything was tournaments and long names, there were also rules. The first rule was, you do not talk about Smash club, wich stopped him from sharing the truth with his own daughter. It was unfortunately a necessary rule, otherwise the secret club would not remain secret for long. The second rule was, you DO NOT talk about Smash club, specially after the Crazy Hand event. And the third and final rule was, if it was your first time at Smash club, you had to brawl.

    And brawl Metal had, against the King of the Jugle himself, Donkey Kong. It was only the first of many, of course. And many more were to come he was sure, Metal would not give up until he won, just like him. Mario, Bowser, Link, the other Link, he would brawl against all of them until he won.

    And of course, Eggman will have to make sure he remember to get rid of the biodata, not the one from Donkey Kong, that would be too suspicious after that conversation, but he did not wanted to try making excuses for Kirby, how do one explain that?. No, while the biodata would immensely useful, the risk was to great.

    First step, clean up the biodata bank. Second step, send Metal to attack a zoo. This is all his fault after all.

    How is Super Smash Bros. dealing with the missing Sonic? Simple, they got a new Sonic. It may sound cold, but you can't argue with the results.
    Perhaps in the future they will just have two Sonics, it worked well with Link and Samus.

    clearly the best way to break through the backlog? is to make more omakes so you are encouraged to get through the omakes! This is a genius plan!!! :V

    Guys, what kind of personal equipment would eggman make for the rest of our hero unit? We already saw some made by him for stone, Isra, Clove and Canna and Belle

    What about metal, rusty, conquering strom, our newest Mystic hero unit, pistoal, sage and finaly starline

    Depends Metal and Rusty something for power, storm something based on her ninja skills, for mystic he needs to first learn how to wield it, until the he could give them defensive, and for Piastol offensive upgrades, for sage researching the android bodies would be good for her, and Starline something to help his luck.

    I would say Metal can get an upgrade to his Maracas, Rusty a movement equipment to catch up , Conquering Storm will probably get a high tech staff, kunai or short range teleporter, Piastol a new scythe or armor for her hound, Sage doesn't have a body yet but Eggman will probably get her something in the Cyberspace, As for Starline....something to boost his horrible luck? Eggman does have his Sonic X memories now.

    We should make some equipment for Starline. Hopefully that would give him some boost in being able to do his actions, especially since Eggman will make it to the character, and since Starline is a researcher and builder more than a fighting type, he will definitely get equipment to help him in those area's. Hopefully if we do make her equipment, the dice will be kind and give a high roll.

    Starline, maybe something to help stabilize the Warp Topaz or make it generate portals faster.

    Sage probably needs a body first.

    Piastol, maybe an enhanced scythe, something that she can channel magic through more effectively or has other functions.

    Yahna, no clue.

    Connie, better ninja gear.

    Rusty, her upgrades already give her a hammer, so... probably a fancy one or something to help her get around faster.

    Metal, some kind of gear he can load bio-data into and swap between in the field.

    While you didn't mention them, Honey could get a hologram projector to supplement shadow sneak and/or help her with disguises as well while Thunderbolt either tools for lab work or some kind of mech enhancement.

    Well, Rusty gets a hammer, naturally. I'd personally like her to get something that let's her command large groups of badniks.

    Starline would probably appreciate a forcefield or some armor. Otherwise, he'd probably make his own stuff.

    Metal doesn't really need gear. At most, something to let him talk.

    Sage has no body, and as such can't use gear.

    Piastol, not sure. Maybe something that automatically brings her ship to her and makes it shoot something? Maybe a scythe upgrade.

    That is a good question, well I don't think metal or rusty needs personal equipment because we can upgrade them and they do have some nice upgrades for them to choose from.

    Conquering Storm: Most likely have a device that makes a hologram version of her for districting her opponents in combat or like Stone she has something that makes infiltrating places a lot easier for her to do.

    Yahan: that is a whole can of worms my best guess is a machine that boosts her magic I guess I don't know, wait and see.

    Sage: At this moment I don't think she needs personal equipment until we give her a body.

    Pistoal: Probably have a tracking device she can use when she is hunting down pirates and scythe upgrade I guess.

    Starline: Enhance equipment that he can use when he helping with projects and maybe Have emergency teleport jump.
     
    Doesn't Rouge own a nightclub? Was that transported here too? Rouge's plan to save Topaz when Eggman destroys G.U.N., is to simply steal her "Kidnap", and have her work for her in her nightclub.

    • Heya all, dad here to tell you guys we're changing Omakes again.

    Gonna be real honest, we love all the love you guys have for the quest and its humbling that you all love to write for it, but it's also daunting the amount you guys write for it so we're going to cap the number of omakes we reward on turn 6 and onward.

    Let me be clear, we love the stories you all tell, but at time of writing this we have 50+ omakes to award and that's too much. The current cap is going to be 25 per turn but its not going to be the first 25, just 25 randomly selected omakes for that turn will be the awarded ones, though there may be some weight if someone writes a really good Negaquest turn or something.

    Hope you all understand and are good with this.
