As we have no clue who will show up for the tournament we should have a copy slot open for each fight. for all we know shadow or black doom himself will show up and i do not want to miss that biodata.

ok so we have 4 fights before Dural so at the minimum we will want 4 slots open. assuming that we store omegas bio data we will need 3 more slots at minimum. that would be 12 upgrade points and a roll of 140 or more for the next two turns. If we add Eggman to the mix we only need to have three open slots and will only need 7 upgrade points as metal has Eggmans trait now. if we want to fight Dural for her copy ability which I still think would be worth it that add one more slot and that means we need Eggman to participate as we have no way to get 4 more slots in two turns.

This all assumes that metal will copy an opponent each fight and we cant store the biodata mid tournament.

Hrm...in theory we could simply take all of his data out and hope he makes it all the way, but adding more slots would be great yeah. Do we have a way to just store everything or swap it? We really need something like that...

And this of course is assuming that he wins all of his fights...which becomes less likely the less data he he has, assuming we don't take non-data upgrades.

Even if infinite doesn't have the ruby I'd like to think we can mess with the restoration a bit bringing him to the surface from his mind prison.

Ticking time bombs are always fun to blow when its not us who's exploding :V

Increasing slots is part of why we're upgrading Metal this turn and are likely to do so again next turn. Especially since we can only store or swap one slot at a time.

That said, Eggman, if not participating, has the ability to swap around the bio-data between fights, similarly to Metal's personal. Probably limits networking opportunities to do so though, so more open slots reduces the need to do that.

That's confirmed? We can do that?

...Though regardless it's probably a good idea to make proper gear for Metal anyway. Maybe we'll get something to help with that.

Zero Plus One is a Greater Sum
A nice piece! It's nice to see him trying to live a better life than before with the help of Gadget.

If it makes Zero feel better, despite Infinite claiming to be strong there is a reason why he is a meme. Guy broke down and went crazy from losing ONCE. Eggman lost so many times before he finally broke down, get on our level. Infinite was infinitely pathetic.

I hope there will be an option to not take biodata. Because I feel some of the fighters will have better data than others. The last rounds are likely to have the best stuff.

Pretty sure we have to actively choose to take biodata so no worries there also "best" is really relative when it comes to traits for example a trait that add half heart score to martial is next to useless for metal but would be damn good on someone with a great heart score

You have a moment to think about how you're normally the one dropping ambushes on unwitting foes and how this seems dramatically unfair.

Then all you can do is dodge out of the way of the fire, the Egg Mobile jerking out of the way under your deft controls.

As the initial salvo fades away and the clowns spread out, you bark out orders.
"Decoe, Bocoe, make sure we don't get any more guests in here! Other minions follow their lead as we focus on these clowns!"

The affirmative barely reaches your ears as you drive the Egg Mobile forward at a breakneck pace, standing from your seat inside the vehicle. You are honestly unsure of this move, but you can hear the phantom screaming of the crowd, the blood rushing in your ears as the red clown is in your sights.

"Doctor, I am here!"

Starline has managed to get behind the clown and attempts to grapple them even as you lean out of the Egg Mobile.

"Magic is no match for the power of the-"

Your one liner is cut off as both you and Starline pass through the red figure as if they weren't even there, the platypus's bill slamming into your face as you both tumble into the Egg Mobile, a mocking honk ringing in your ears as the red clown is revealed to be an illusion, disappearing.

"Everyone!" Clove's voice rings through the room as you attempt to disentangle yourself from Starline. "They all have some sort of field around them! They might all be illusions or the real one might be hiding amongst their ranks!"

"Oh no really?" The clown's voice rings through the room, coming from all three of the different forms at once. "What is a fun house without a bit of smoke and mirrors after all?"

"The familiarity with these spells," Clove continues, ignoring the taunting "they're as familiar with them as I am with my scythe or you with your vehicle doctor. Expect things to get harder the more they cast!"

"Oh? There's a brain in that little green head of yours!" A cackle rings through the vault as you finally right within the Egg Mobile, Starline squeezing in behind the seat.

Stone takes that moment to dart to the Pronghorns, handing something off to Clove as he takes cover behind the now swung open vault door.

"B A Z I N G A"

The loud noise and screech from your toady tells you that hiding is going to be of little use, as Stone scrambles away from the door, the green clown stepping out from the shadow. You are unsure of when they had time to get there, but you can see Honey running over to tie up that one.

Though if they are left standing at all will be another matter as you see Clove, grimace on her face, shooting forward towards the troupe of clowns with a barrage of foam missiles locking them down long enough for a slash to rend into each of them.

A spray of red blood flies from each in turn, even as the calliope grows louder and louder, the song drilling into your head even as Starline tries and fails to catch the attention of the yellow clown with questions about its mother. Instead, they yellow and blue link arms as their masks seem to glow with an unsettling light.

"Ladies and gents, this is the moment that you've all been waiting for!" They cry together, linked arms raising up. "Searching through the dark as your blood soaks through the floor!"

The light from their masks shoots up their arms, a burning ball of fire and some sort of other energy spiraling around it!

"Fade away beneath the glow!" They cry, the fire spilling forward in a whirlpool of flames, a burning purple energy dispersing across the tide! "This is the Greatest Show! Firestorm!"

Your reflexes, newly regained, have you maneuver the Egg Mobile to shield yourself (and Starline) from the tide of flames, the magics crackling along the underside by not finding purchase.

Not all your minions are as lucky, the cries of Cassia and Honey over the comms ringing in your ears and as the smoke clears you can see Honey is barely standing, Stone staring up at her in a mix of fear and awe.

The Cat shielded the man with her own body. Burned, cut, bruised, and unbroken, she spits a glob of blood to the floor and glares at the Green clown.

"The only thing that's worse than your performance is your costume." She snarls out. "Did you put your makeup on in the dark? Or did the blood soaking the floor make you trip head first into the eggshell paint?"

The green one starts to raise their hand, but Honey isn't done. "You know what, you probably aren't even allowed near eggshell, the color or the stuff, because you're not even a real clown! Real clowns have their eggs on the register and I bet you couldn't even do that! You're not making anyone laugh here, besides at you, you walking fashion disaster."

There is a moment of silence.

"B A Z I N G A"

A small sparkle of light surrounds the green one, but it seems whatever that was supposed to do…

Well Honey is pulling her weight for sure.

What will you do now?

All Team Members have 2 AP, please vote in plan Format:

Eggman (2 AP)

Blast those clowns! (2 AP): You have no time to lose with some gaudy entertainers! Teach them what it means to mess with you with an Explosive opening move!

(Missile Barrage against the enemy, hitting 4 times to random targets. Contested combat roll with a +10 Bonus.)

Smash those clowns! (1 AP): Getting a fireball thrown to your face is quite rude! Return the favor, with interest! (Pick a target)

(Eggman gets in close with the Egg Mobile to attack one of the clowns with the Eggmobile built in weapons. Contested Combat against the target.)

Taunt Them (1 AP): You admit you have been caught off guard here. The Clown seems to have the initiative so far. Well, only one things to do! Get them out of balance.

(Eggman will try and taunt and enrage the red clown, contested trickery roll against them. If successful, will cause a debuff of -10 to all the clown's rolls. Possibility of making the enemy focus on eggman only)

Give her "El Gran Gordo!" Special! (2 AP): Starting with an explosive entrance, eh? Ha! Never let it said that Eggman cannot do the same! Let the training from the last months speak for yourself and grapple that fool!
(Pick a target)

(Eggman will try to grapple and supplex an enemy. Contested combat roll with +10 Bonus!)

Agent Stone (2 AP)

Clear As Stone (0 AP): You're not sure there ever has been a better moment to turn invisible than when a magic wielding clown starts throwing fireballs. (Stone activates the invisibility setting on his Imposter Unit, vanishing from sight. This ability lasts for 2 turns and cannot be used again for the rest of the adventure.)

I Am His Rock (2 AP): You've lost the Doctor once before and you will not allow that to happen again, no matter the personal cost. (Stone runs bodyguard duty for Eggman. If an attack would damage him, Stone will instead take that damage and any associated effects.)

Coordinated Assault (1 AP): While you might not be a powerhouse of a fighter, you aren't going to let this clown make a fool of the Doctor! (Contested Combat against one of the clowns, must vote which one.)

Hot Coffee (1 AP): You had been saving this thermos of coffee for the Doctor, but perhaps it could be put to use better elsewhere. Or maybe not… (Select a target. If an ally, that ally gains 1 AP this turn only. If a foe, that target must succeed a DC 60 Power check or be covered in extremely hot and curdled goat milk coffee.)

A Rolling Stone Gathers No Moss (1 AP): You are not a fighter and you are likely only going to be a detriment to this battle, but that may not be true at all points. Take some cover and wait for your moment. (Stone makes a contested Trickery check to hide. If successful on following turns he will have +20 to all attack actions on the turn he reveals himself.)

Protective Boulder (1 AP) Honey the Cat might not have true allegiance to the Doctor, but right here, right now, she is an ally. She protected you, you will pay that back.
(Stone makes sure to guard Honey, he adds half his stats to any attack or status an enemy tries to inflict on here. If she were to be damaged, Stone will take the hit for her.

Starline (2 AP)

Be ANYWHERE Else (2 AP): You're not a fighter and this clown is throwing out a lot of fire. Your keen mind must be protected so perhaps getting behind the cover of a pillar or a door or literally anything else would be a good idea. (Starline makes like a platypus and ducks, taking cover and making himself a less appealing target.)

Return To Sender (2 AP): This mystical misfit dares to attack the great Doctor Eggman! And yourself as well! Use the Warp Topaz and return those attacks back at the clown! (Contested Power check against the clown adding Starline's Mystic as a bonus. On a success, the next attack the clown makes will be directed back towards them.)

Tell Me About Your Mother (1 AP): While not a fighter, you do know how to get into people's heads. Try and get the clown talking and see if you can't get them distracted. (Contested Trickery check against the clown which, if successful, gives them -10 to their actions this turn and possibility for them to reveal something of themself.)

Imitation And Flattery (1 AP) [Can only be taken if Eggman takes the "Give her "El Gran Gordo!" Special!" action.] You are… not as physically capable as Doctor Eggman, but you can at least attempt to assist him in his grapple attempts! Maybe…? (Starline makes a DC60 Power check to assist Eggman in his suplex. On a success, Eggman takes the action with advantage.)

The Sweet Science (1 AP): You are an omni disciplined science, but you must admit that the "sweet science" is one you have not studied often, but perhaps field research is what you need! (Select a target. Starline makes a contested combat check against them.)

Portal Out (2 AP)
Things have gotten much to exciting and its time to go! If the clown is expending that much magic on their attacks, then you can probably use the Warp Topz to get out of here safely as long as you're willing to make a few in between jumps to loose any trace they've got on you. Probably...?
(Starline opens up a portal to a random location for the Egg Party to evac to. Opposed Trickery check using the Warp Topaz bonus to lose any tracking Janken's forces have on them. If this action is selected each other member of the Egg Party can use 1 AP in an attempt to grab the wreckage from the vault as they escape, which will be an opposed Trickery check against the Clown.)

The Pronghorns (2 AP)

Egg Boss (1 AP): Your other forces are currently guarding the entrance to the atrium and moving the defeated foes out of eye sight. A useful task, but for now they must join the frey! (The badniks, the Egg Clan, and the rescued robots join the fray against the clown.)

Sister Prong-ed Assault! (2 AP): There was no time to waste, you needed to neutralize this clown before Janken and the rest of his forces arrived here. Cassia and You should be able to deal with the clown if you rush and leave them no time to act.

(Cassia and Clove work together to try and deal with the leader. Contested Power roll with +15 Bonus to the combat)

Find the True Clown!(1AP): This enemy is proficient in subterfuge and misdirection, if something is not done, they will keep casting these spells while the illusions keep all entertained. The only way is to find the real clown!

(Contested Clove and Cassia Logistics vs Clown trickery/Mystic, if successful, Clove identifies the true body and any attacks that would be directed to a fake are instead send to the real one.)

Blast them away! (1 AP): Cassia is sure that know stealth has officially be broken, so that means it's time to go loud! Test these new toys and blast the clowns!
(Pick a target)
(Cassia Attacks the Clowns with the OCU's artillery, contested combat roll against the enemy)

Slash at the enemy (1 AP): You needed your side to take the initiative quickly. Let the enemy have no time to react and brandish your scythe!
(Pick a target)
(Clove will wield her scythe and attack one of the enemies. Contested Power roll against them).

Remain Mobile (1 AP): Avoid getting further burns is the tactical move here. With your booths and Cassia's OCU, mobility shouldn't be an issue.

(Clove and Cassia employ their equipment to stay nimble and not be an easy target. Any enemy that tries to attack them get's disadvantage on the attack roll.)

Honey (2 AP)

After Images Distraction! (1 AP): Your after Images could really even the playing field! Or at least serve as a useful distraction for the clowns. (Honey makes some after image Clones that run around and disorient the clowns. On a successful DC 60 Trickery check, The Clowns get disadvantage on an attack against one target (Which attack will be random, if there are many attempts.)

Fashionably Beatdown (1 AP): While you like the color coordination of those clowns, those outfits are too gaudy for your taste. Time to teach a lesson to this entertainer.
(Pick target)
(Honey will try to attack one of the clowns. Honey will do one contested Power Check against one enemy)

Hide Away! (1 AP): With so many people here, you could try and sneak away, lay in wait for a chance to appear and give that clown a piece of your mind!

(Contested trickery check to hide, if successful, next attack attempt will gain advantage.)

Distraction Go! (1 AP): Perhaps you can try and keep the clowns distracted in some way? You are sure you have several topics you can use to get their attention…their outfit being one of them.

(Contested Heart check against the clowns, if successful, chances of 1 or more clowns to be distracted.)

Keep your guard up (1 AP): Don't just rush in, stay on your toes and keep your guard up, an attack can come fro anywhere and you need to be ready to react!

(Honey will assume a defensive stance, and any attack made against her will gain disadvantage)

Ninja Cat!(2 AP): You are at your limit, you are tired, and your dress is ruined! Another good hit and you will be done… You refuse to accept that! For now, taking a moment to hide and recover will be needed.

(Honey will roll trickery to hide with a +15 Bonus, if successful, enemies won't be able to target her/she won't be affected by most attacks, and next turn she gets a +10 bonus to the first attack roll she does.)

Damn, not looking good for Honey. I feel that we should have Stone protect her and have her focus on hiding with Ninja Cat. The Pronghorns should try to find the real one while everyone else fights.

Shame about it not being the real one, that was a great roll from Eggman.

The only thing worse then a mirror image is a Advanced mirror image. I do think we should go fuck it and flush the missiles out hoping to hit all three or at least reduce the numbers

Honey being at one HP aside, we are actually doing well here. We are down a clown and only took two damage. It doesn't take much damage to dispel an illusion, but we do need to successfully deal damage.

I think Eggman should either smash a clown and taunt to pop a clown and help reduce the risk to Honey. Or El Gran Gordo.

Starline, unfortunately, does not have good options unless we have him support another El Gran Gordo. Don't want to reduce the likelihood of him being targeted, since he has a 1 HP shield that gives him better options after it's triggered.

Stone can protect Honey and either give her an extra AP for Keep Your Guard Up or give it to one of our heavy hitters.

Pronghorns can try to slash and find the true enemy. Or sister assault and find the true enemy if we give her the extra AP.

Honey should definitely take the advanced hide action. May or may not be worth having her get the extra AP from Stone so she can also use keep her guard up. It doesn't help with AoE, but would help if she's targetted.

Thoughts?

question shouldn't yellow have rolled twice to his Honey or does AOE make defence stance just pointless?

Theoretical plan that works in flushing out our target and hopefully thinning the herd.

Doppel, I really, really want to like you......but you making things little tense right now!

Also, can't we just ram/squash one of the copies with Egg Mobile? And I don't mean weapons, just remotely directing the vehicle to charge, with sheer mass doing the work.
The thing weights like....over 5 tons (if we go by Sonic X). Whatever copy will do it's best to dodge should be a real one.
