I still think we should prioritize getting funds for the Auction over badniks. At least we have a real possbility and don't need to antagonize if we go for Plan B and stole from whoever buyt them thus avoiding blowing our corver also the Empire probably will want the Valkyria artifact back so they may ahev send someone to track it down since it's not like Fang is being stealthy about this whole affair.

Building a Shadow Android when Shadow is actively hunting us is a good way for him to.give us the You are dead look.

Because Shadow has a complex about being the ultimate life form.
 
Regarding the Logistic option, how about we build a Shadow Android? Will give us some cover when we raid the auction.

Waste of metal for now and most actions only has a cap of 10 and Shadow Androids have a Power Value of 15 meaning they will literally stay on our base doing nothing when we can use Egg Pawns and Burrowbots to other actions and mine for stuff.

When did i said that actions had a Power cap of 10 For most things? That will depend of what action you attempt to do. It will vary greatly from action to action.

Did I said specifically that MOST actions have a cap of 10? If so please show me the post please.

Reason i havent put power cap for badniks is cause you guys literally have none right now. Once you buold even one, the caps will appear.

You will have chance to bring whatever badniks you make to the auction if you wish.

Also @Soberan 123 after discussing it for a bit, its been decided that the personal to develop a counter for Shadow won't be allowed. Same as showing Shadow's sheet.

I don't think so, Eggman has four personals. Three are being spent on focusing on work(in this case the Pronghorns sickness) the other is talking to Belle.

Raiding the work camps also gets us money. And people are smashing Zavoks Badniks so I'd rather get them now before they're smashed to pieces. That or look for the Conch.

The conch I feel is really important.

Cause not only it causes a great pain to the deadly 6, but also disables their power.

Literally as long as they heard it the badniks under their control will go back to work properly under our command.

He's already looking for us. That ship has long since sailed. Don't need to worry about it. Only us are able to create a Shadow Android, so if we or a fixed Metal show our face in the auction, the result would still be the same.

Sorry there was a example in the mechanics tab about using badniks and I mistakenly believe that was the case for most actions.

Remember that Zavok has access to Eggman's factories so he literally can replace his losses fairly quickly and he has possible thousands of badniks under his command.

I bet all my money that Zavok is not even close depleting the badnik horde. If Eggman was not able to replinish his losses so quickly he would not use his badniks so reckeless in the games and comics.

Also Work Camp is not exactly a place that scream money so while it may have something there valuable will definitely not compared if we go stole banks or something like that, besides robbing banks is practically a victimless crimes since all of them are insured.

It's true that Zavok's amount of Badniks hasn't taken a hit as long as he has the factories available he can just keep throwing them out. So you are right. Thoguht he do is losing ground as you saw this turn RR.

While true that the work camp won't give as much money as the trickery action, it will also give you Metal, other things like ragnite, money and ??? So it's worthwhile to do still.

Also the money thing is if you guys want to go with the bidding and not trying to smash and grab. I recommend you guys start planning now which way you might want to go.

You can always try to smash and grab if the bid fails, but won't be as effective as going right from the start with the violent option

Does every main drives have a separated turn count limit?

Like if we take an action for one of our main drives, does it reset both turn counts or it just resets the turn count for that drive in specific?
 
Hey @Kingster (or any QM's really) Does Starline's Warp Topaz trait activate while searching for the Conch? Or is it not counted because he's teleporting everywhere anyway? I'm assuming no but I figured I'd ask.

Shame that we can't use a Cpunter against Shadow but oh well, decided to replace with Speak with Belle then. I would not worry too much for Shadow, our defenses give any invader a -30 in rolls and Rusty and Metal will be there to protect us.

Also @Kingster Rose possiblity to develop a trait to fight Sonic can be used togive a minor bonus in fighting Shadow as well since both have similar abilities?

I mostly want to search for the conch this turn since on turn 3 we are going to have to sacrifice our trickery action for the Sonic Drive so it doesn't give us maluses.

The Conch kinda is a 100 DC so we probably should only do this action if we are willing to sacrifice most of Eggman's Persona Actions.

Say @Kingster would we need funds when we start to our shell business across the world? Or funds are just goign to be a mechanic exculivly for this adventure?

As I mentioned, the Conch search doesn't give us any maluses if we fail it, as it is mostly Starline probably sweeping the area with his gem.

It also probably makes the DC go down as sweeping an area means you don't have to search it twice.

It also tips no one of our pressence.

With a DC of 100 we would need a roll of 80 or more for that to succeed with Starline's trickery.
 
Remember our trickery is also counted and loyalty gives a bonus of +3, meaning we start with a 45, I am willing to use my +10 on any national for this action to make it a 55.

Meaning we would need to roll a 45 or higher.

I would think Curing Cassia is the priority over getting the conch and we need money for the auction since people will bid fiercely over it and I am not sure the Work Camp will have a lot of money around for us to be competition.

Alright, let me go down the list.

  • Assaulting the Empire's Work camp seems like a good idea because it's easy, gets us a nice spread of resources, and sticks it to the Empire.
  • My reasoning for choosing to hire Piastol is threefold. One, she's a mystic hero; dear god, we need one. Two, she's from Skies of Arcadia and may give us a way to research moonstones, advanced airships, and magic cannons. Not that her ship has all those things, but if she brings us into conflict with some Sky Pirates we may... acquire some. Three, personal preference. I like her. As for why I want Belle to be there... well it's a bit of a risk but Piastol does canonically have a soft spot for children, and Belle has the highest Heart of our units. If that doesn't work out I may have to put Stone on that instead.
  • I know that the Tarnished Blossoms will take all our metal, but I also want to see what they are and unlock them for later use. The alternative would be making two batches of badniks, but I can't decide what I'd like most.
  • Researching Cassia's Disease early is important. The longer we wait the more likely something goes wrong. The reason I have Clove here instead of Starline is because Clove's bonus for doing something to help Cassia will put her very close to Starline, and without Starline's arrogance potentially limit us. It's also to open up Starline for...
  • Quietly taking our Badniks back is a two-pronged thing, screwing over Zavok and getting our hands on some battle machines without having to build them ourselves. As mentioned before, it won't put deal too much damage against Zavok since he's got factories at work, but I think the twofold bonus is great.
  • ... I didn't know what to do for Mystic. Eggman sucks at it, and so does all of our other units. I thought gambling on some magic shenanigans would be better than grabbing more rings.
  • Eggman's personals are all in the interest of preparing for the future. Work out, tinker, make blueprints, struggle to communicate with the machine that isn't our daughter. That sort of stuff.
  • Starline and Stone are working together to clean out the base and see if there's any cool stuff we've missed inside.
  • Rusty and Metal Sonic are looking at their counterparts for information and potential guidance. I know that Metal Sonic's training would have more mechanical effect, and I think Rusty observing the Flicky has implications. But I do want to prod around for Sonic and Amy lest we get blindsided. Also I think Metal trying to one up Sonic at quipping is funny.
  • Belle and Clove are... I kinda hope this helps their mental states. The poor girls are in rough shape.
What do you guys think? Any criticisms or suggestions?

Don't underestimated the Rings they could be used to cure those that were dying from disease if you know how to properly used them in Archie comics. Don't know if is the same here but it cost nothing to try.

At this point, Raiding the Empire is already a given, however I think we should give the job to Rusty Rose. The DC isn't so high it needs Metal, and by not sending Metal, we would not lose as much element of surprise as we would otherwise.

Anyways, QM, can we assign Hero Units to Actions that can't be affected just for flavor text? Like assigning Belle to the Auto Success Building Badniks so that she can have bonding time with Eggman?
 
Also reminder people, retaking our Badniks trough trickery means we need to pass a DC80 if we want no suspicion from the guys at charge at the moment.

Passing the 50 means they will smell the rat.

And then there is worse case scenario where we roll minus than a 5 and we trip the alarm.

And god forbid that the dice decides to get that nat 1.

It is mostly the reason of why I want to go for the conch rather than getting more money or trying to retake our badniks.

It is the option that gives us the less heat in worst case scenario.

And trust me it can happen, lady luck tends to have a twisted sense of humor, like giving someone a nat 1 againts a nat 100.

Or somehow failing a dc50 in which we had a 42 of starting bonus with a nat 1.

We need to avoid things that could bring heat to us at the moment until we are truly prepared.

Lets say that the red guy is not going to bring only one or two units is he knows we are alive and plotting againts him.

He was quite clear they want to maul us for what we did.
