Prince Aladdin Quest (Disney Villains *Almost* Victorious)

maybe you'll switch a Corresponding with Jasmine to Visit? Because at least part of the people, as far as I can tell, woting for Keep Friends plan because of it.
Well let's find out:

Alright people, who would switch to Birds and Snooping if the personal action is swapped to visiting Jasmine instead?

Also I'd like some arguments for why people want it. Correspondence was what we agreed to at the start of the quest after all.

I would switch, personally, and I think the reasoning is that serious crap appears to be going down in Agrabah right now and we'd be well-advised to see it with our own eyes.

@GrayGriffin you might want to change your vote from "Plan Birds, Snooping" to the more popular "Plan Birds and Snooping".

What proof do we have that serious stuff is going on in Agrabah? Jasmine acting out of character? Getting pissed at someone discriminating against women is not unusual.

It´s not about her being pissy about that chauvinistic asshat - that would be completly understandable.

It´s about her and the Sultan clinging to their anger to an unnatural degree, as if they never met Aladdin before and are solely judging him on that one occurence - which reeks of mind magic like the one from the Sand Witches.

Hmmm, you might have a point. The Sultan at least would keep a more steady head knowing about choosing the wrong person for the job. The phrasing in the personal action looked to me like it was Jasmine communicating with Aladdin, not Jasmine and the Sultan, so knowing that the Sultan is equally pissed to an unreasonable degree is coming to me as new knowledge.

Jasmine did know Aladdin for a short time. Her exploding on Aladdin could be due to feeling betrayed that his perfect magically wished kingdom is not perfect in every way. I'm feeling like it's overly paranoid to jump into mind magic for a low roll.

Not going to die on this rock though. If jwolfe_beta wants to change the plan. I'm okay with that.

Rival reports and the rumor mill, both of which confirm that some unusual things have been happening there, along with OOC knowledge that what we've seen matches up with the Sand Witches' MO. Also, as I recall the deal was to mostly correspond, but that the occasional visit wasn't out of the question.

Has anyone figured out who the kid hanging out with Jasmine is? As I recall that isn't a sand witch thing so we might have multiple plots happening at once.

Also Sadira becomes a pretty nice person eventually after the sand magic stuff. We should try and recruit her if we run into her in Agrabah.

I'm amazed its as nice as it is. The Genie populated it mostly with malcontents and the desperate, those who would throw away their old lives in a heartbeat and not look back. But it supports my personal belief that a man will tend to fit the shoes he wears and that all it takes to make a new man is a new pair of shoes.

We should take that to heart. Even with Iago, give him the full trappings of a human dignitary. And the full burdens.

The boy is probably Tanti. Which is fine.

Sadira... since Jasmine's choices are decided by dice Sadira may very well get her damn wish. Things probably get weird if Jasmine's negative opinion goes past a certain threshold, even if artificially caused.

Jwolfe_beta if you are going to switch correspondence with a visit, you should do it soon. Been around 3 hours since someone voted for your plan.

Assuming Jasmine isn't being magically effected a visit can go one of two ways.
1. She accepts his in-person apologies for the previous screw-up.
2. She gets even more irate due to him not sticking to correspondence.
There is also the possibility that there ends up being no hard feelings but it still is enough of a bucket of cold water that romance is no longer in the cards. Sometimes that sort of thing happens.

I've only gotten one person saying they'd switch plans if I change it. That's not enough.
There was that one who expressed that visiting Jasmine is a deal breaker. Saying even though our economy takes a hit, going to Agrabah is more important than economic issues.

Not everybody is on the same timezone. At worst we piss off Jasmine, but we can recover from that more easily than the money issue we'll be hitting if we go for the garden. If the Jasmine romance doesn't work out, that's okay. And it shows Jasmine cannot accept any fault in Aladdin, which isn't great for a relationship.

[X] Plan Birds and Snooping

Why not.
Upon looking him up, it seems like he is... just a normal background character not really involved with any plots or anything.

So, cool. One less thing to worry about.
Very much. He was the child of a lower class merchant woman, probably without a father in his life, who still needs a stuffed animal to sleep. He is about as innocent in things as a human being can get.

[X] Plan Here We Go

- [X][Martial] Have the hunters look for warbeasts specifically
The menagerie is impressive. The War Beasts inside of it even more so, but after seeing Genie Aladdin knows that as impressive as an armor-clad rhinoceros is, there are tougher and more dangerous things out there. See if the hunters of Ababwa can find some to add to the War Stable.

- [X][Stewardship] Friends in Deed
Your envoys have returned with a prospective trade agreement from the independent kingdom of Xiang-Wu. Affirming this contract will take time and effort as your people go over it and haggle back and forth to turn it from a potential trade agreement into a contract between their kingdom and Ababwa. Improves income by 1,500 per turn.

-[X][Diplomacy] If you Give a Parrot a Job...
Iago's position right now in Agrabah seems to be uncertain. Send an official royal job offer to act as an interpreter not only for those humans whose languages Iago can speak, but to allow communication to animals as well.

- [X][Intrigue] Send spies to Agrabah to discreetly keep an eye on things
The Sultan and the Princess both seem determined to get things in Agrabah back on track, but it never hurts to have someone watching their backs, right? Send a few discreet agents to keep an eye on things and to report back if trouble is brewing.

- [X][Learning] The Heart-Shaped Herb
There have been notations of an incredibly useful herb found in the medical records of the University. One that Chiron recognizes, but said had been growing rarer over the years as it was used for many different medicines and other applications. The University wants to fund an expedition to Greece to find any remaining samples of this herb, and bring back cuttings and seeds to preserve it as a subject of medical experimentation. Opens up new avenues of medical study, has the possibility to enhance medicines already in use. Adds +500 Gold to Income per turn

- [X][Occult] Golden Afternoon
The Mage has requested the construction of a specialized form of building that can assist in the growing of plants no matter the weather, calling it a Green House. This structure will allow his acolytes to plant and grow a number of potent herbs and other reagents that are of use in the creation of magic potions and enchanted items.

- [X][Personal]This Mystical Land of Magic and Sand
Aladdin knows just enough about magical beings and items to know that he doesn't know nearly enough for his own good. Better see if he can rectify that. Gain +1 Occult. Chance of gaining a trait.

- [X][Will Personal] Off the edge of the Map
William is determined to find his lady love, Elizabeth Swann. He is poring through the maps that are available to find out where he is in relation to where he was, just to have a reference point on how to start looking.

-[X][Adventure] On a Wing and a Prayer
Aladdin has found a reference to the legendary birds known as Rocs, and that there was once a nesting site in the mountains of what used to be Persia. Dispatch a team of heroes to investigate and try to retrieve any remaining feathers that may have been left in the nest; or any other treasures to be found there. Maximum of 4 heroes to a team
--[X] Aladdin
--[X] William Turner

Mutually exclusive. When going on an adventure, that burns a Personal action for a Hero.
