Innovation 9 (20)
Consciousness 3 (16)

I love this plan. We may explode, but what a RIDE

I will not worry about pollution until we pass 9(X) before counting pollution reducers.

Mmmm: 13 actions are taken, and six of those actions are made by the Liberals despite the fact the Royalists and Conservatives had more PW by a notable amount. Makes me wonder what back door dealings were done in the shadowy corners of the New Blackmouth Winter Palace.

That pollution still makes me wince but the Consciousness issue is addressed.

I mainly find it very ironic that it's the Liberal party who end up bolstering the secret police whilst the Royalists and Conservatives boost education and science.

See I wanted to do the espionage action for the royalists, but people salted at me to switch it for something else >_>

Eh, it all checks out for PW. Conservatives and Royalists had some 2 PW actions, while Liberals used 1 PW actions (on top of a 0 PW free action) so it looks like they got more when they didn't really.

Hat off:

Steel rails. Fite me.

Lol

I am pretty sure AN stated other tech newly available such as improved war doctrine and the such.

Not to mention we still require 8 more reamament project right now. Let our Industrial base catch up first.
It literally revolutionises all forms of warfare and puts us ahead of the competition by decades at least. It is the first step to making Ironclads irrelevant, and I don't want to rely on the idea of matching the Sketch and their Nohon allies Ironclad for Ironclad...

I'm sorry, I bolster science just fine!

Just would prefer to keep our priceless industrial secrets secret for long enough to make an absolute killing with them.

Literally, y'get me?

HAT. ON.

Ho! Gaze upon Icarus as he soars to the sun, and watch as the sharks circle below.

You all have fallen for the Walrus's ploy.
Look at him. Look at the habitat of the walrus, are there trees? NAY. Not a one. The first and most damning clue. One none of us saw until it was too late!

We are already ripping through our enemies and we have not even implemented our breechloaded rifles yet. It can wait.

Reverse-engineering a rifle isn't rocket science, and you're putting them into combat. And you don't have any industrial secrets.
If anything you're kinda behind in everything other than glass and metalight. Glass is more about skill and mass production than it is any fundamental secret. And you still have metalight locked down tight.

EDIT
Honestly, I'd argue you'd probably be better off using that PW on industrial espionage of all the territory you are freedomizing.
But I don't know if that would affect Trust.

Will we drip steel rails as we buy from the Kiel over time? I mean we loose 50% research on it as we buy our rails in, but if we learn as we have it built up, that would let us focus on other things like the path to counter ironclads.

Cheap steel otoh I very much want asap. We probably loose a drip from not trying to get the steel rails, but it's used in so many other things anyway :)

Also, that pollution hurts, hopefully more sewers next turn.

@Academia Nut

What will likely be the "morals" from fighting the Dual Crown?

Is General Staff likely to leak?

You think the Hespranxer already had some degree of Officer Academy/General Staff thing going on, they are just going in a different direction from you. The SKF inherited a large chunk of the Hesp army and their NCOs were very well trained and could instil significant elan and instruction in the new recruits, but the Hesp officers managed to regenerate their own cadre with somewhat alarming speed. In comparison the People have very aggressive and independent officers but there is a steeper learning curve since the rank and file will tend to react with straightforward, linear aggression if denied command. There are obvious comparative strengths and advantages: the People are very good at churning out masses of adequately trained troops lead by aggressive and independent officers, while the Hesp and those following their thinking are very, very good at producing well trained troops at all levels.

Thank god we have the Numbers and equipment, we need breach loading canons even more now. I do not want Hesperanxer, who need a way to regain prestige even more now, and have been aggressive to us in the past to be able to catch up.

QUESTION
-Will the DC automatically perform industrial espionage/discreet looting of all the industrial heartland they are attacking into, or does it require a dedicated action?
-And if they do, will it affect Trust?
