Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

On the bright(?) side with Danny dead the Privateers will dissolve and Taylor won't have to feel guilty about continually forgetting that not only do they exist but that she is member.

And that DC15 was for survived unscathed. With such a relatively low DC death should be a 1 crit failure. 4 might be mark Dallons fate after Leviathan or a coma due to brain damage. That still gives the Protectorate an opening to start messing around. Not to mention the guilt from not going. Maybe Dragon will help us out after this if the Dragonslayers show up and we manage to take them out because the only other option I see for our future except for Ward membership as a ward of the state is running to the TSAB.
…Or Danny has a section in his will stating who gets custody of Taylor if he dies. Because, you know, that's a thing that happens in real life.

We could always do what Fate did and live inside a Recursion Field. The copy of a nice penthouse suite would be nice. The only question is what happens is if food gets copied and if so what happens if you eat it?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Lacey gets custody of Taylor?

Alexandria was so disappointed that Calamity didn't come to fight Behemoth, that she rushed to Captain and started to shake him, yelling "Where is Calamity?!"
For a moment she forget about her superstrength, and poor Danny received several fractures and concussion.

Did Emma and Allan Barnes die in this quest? BB arc was so far back and they never were important characters so can't remember. Because the Barnes would have been the most likely targets of such an option with Taylor and Emma being almost like sisters for a long time, no known living canon relatives, Allan being Danny's friend and Danny not having the energy to change the will after Annette died and not knowing about the break between Emma and Taylor. Not to mention Danny being busy with Privateers then and capes not being much for long term planning and stability due to their shards influencing them. So I don't see him updating his will.
Kurt and Lacey are possible but I doubt they would have been a first choice in a will due to their financial situation. Remember that Danny handled a lot of work in the Union so he knew their situation. Allan a lawyer had funds to spare for another daughter.
And unless he filled a new will in Philadelphia then there might be a problem if the office he filled it in BB didn't have a branch/partner outside the quarantine area.

Her and Kurt, yep.

That kind of thing is why he kept Margaret and Tim around; Margaret was the Dockworkers' office manager and Tim was the accountant. Margaret did most of the work to make sure EVERYBODY'S wills were updated since they were in a new city and doing the whole hero thing.

Didn't think of that. You defeated my arguments with pesky logic. Drats.

Wonder what the law will say about the non powered Privateers now that the Captain is gone. I remember Piggot being somewhat difficult about it before. Not to mention them being reliant on looting the gangs for their livelihood until the off site power plant is build and they can sell energy to the city. If that is also legal due to usage of tinker tech generators.

There is also the fact that Lacey is distrustful towards IAE which might cause some invisitech messages with plans towards the new parental unit:).

You all know it could be the same thing that happened in the original Behemoth fight with Danny being with Accord when Cody comes to kill him. So it might not have been Behemoth at all.

That could explain it. However, such an attempt would require another roll or two to make it fit, as the second roll was the heroes dealing with Behemoth.

Or maybe the Captain has violated the Endbringer Truce in some other way, or his power had a VERY bad interaction with something else. Though I think that the issue with Cody and the Yangban seems the most likely.

They'd have no real reason to though. New Delhi is in China's/CUI's backyard, so to speak. Ukraine is thousands of miles further away than that.
Unless they are trying to show their power and expand their influence. Really if you want them there then you can get them there. If you don't similarly an author can come up with reasons why they don't show. I am only trying to throw out options that would make at least a little sense to me.

Lethal radiation poisoning, maybe? Maybe Behemoth got just close enough for Danny and the thinkers to get a whiff of Chernobyl.

That, or Ziz'd Tattletale done fucked up and shot him. Because reasons. I mean, you are the GM. I'm not saying that you completely disregard the roll, but they are guidelines more than anything.

@Silently Watches I'm curious now. What was Emma's fate post Arc 3?

So she ded.

RIP in pieces Ems.
Good enough for me.

In other news, I FINALLY figured out what to do about Danny's fate. Now I just need to roll another die to see how he does afterwards. Please don't be bad, please don't be bad, please don't be bad.

EDIT: …Fffffffuuuuuuuuucccccccckkkkkkkkkk.

EDIT 2: You know what? I'm rolling again because that is bullshit right there.

EDIT 3: …Okay, I might just go with the 6. It's actually less drama than the 33.
Silently Watches threw 2 100-faced dice. Reason: DCs = 30, 45, 60, 75 Total: 39
6 6 33 33

My thoughts exactly. Now you gotta decide: does the story fit killing Danny at this point, or not?
Why do the dice hate us?
Because it's the SV Dice Roller. It's notorious for strings and averages of low rolls.

EDIT: Or maybe it's just Danny they hate.
I'm starting to think it's not just SV's readers who want Danny dead.

Ugh. 6 or 33. Mmm, mmm, mmm. Either way, Danny would be out of the story for good. Or I say screw the dice and figure out something later.

I'm going to put it on the back burner for now. This at least buys me till the end of Arc 8 to figure out what I'm going to do with ole Danny boy.
