If someone else is trying to see older SW posts after moving from SB to get up to date on what is going on mostly then remember to click "Search After" as only 500 posts are shown each time you search and Silently posted over 1000 times in this thread. Even if he was lost the first spot of most posts.

Oh, sorry. Wasn't aware of that.

For Taylor:
[X] Go to the Endbringer fight – Behemoth likes fire and radiation? Too bad for him, those are your toys. The lightning bolts might be more of a problem, but that's what shields and a Barrier Jacket are for, right?
For Samantha:
[X] Guard the warehouse

Edited out proposed plans.

For Taylor:
[X] Stay at the warehouse – You could say you trust the Dragonslayers not to go after the radio while you're in Ukraine, but that would be a massive lie. You'd bet money they're headed this way. Time to catch a rat.

For Samantha:
[X] Go with Danny

Something relevant to the vote that people may be interested in:
"Fine," he all but spat. "Since you seem to have this all planned out, when are you going to talk to her?"

"After the next Endbringer fight. It would work best if she shows up, but even if she doesn't, she participated in the fight against the Simugh. She understands what's at stake." Legend gave her a suspicious look, and she shrugged. "I said we would not force her into anything. I never said I wouldn't take advantage of the situation to persuade her to help us."

So that's how you do it. Good to know.

EDIT 1: Well, shit. Not a good day for the heroes. Not as bad as it could be, though; I'm limiting casualties to 60% max.

EDIT 2: Thank god, that could have been bad. You just barely squeaked past.

EDIT 3: …WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!

Edit:
*Looks at Danny's roll*
Well, fuck.
Mmm. I might be rerolling that one because damn. Or I might ignore you passing the Oh $#!4 roll to explain how the hell he died when nothing terrible happened. Need to think on it.

EDIT: And now I really wish you guys had sent Samantha with Danny, because then I could have another roll to work with and NOT kill Danny when the last meaningful thing he said to Taylor was an accusation of her really not being his daughter.

Ignoring the inevitable outcry of 'Plz no kill dannyboy', one issue that I can see with the latter option on principle is... overruling a success just to inflict a massive loss is a rather negative prospect. It removes the thin veneer of 'the dice did it', and establishes the 'who's fault is it' as wholly on your shoulders. Table-top or quest, that's a bad step for player-DM relations.

That said, I've always been an advocate of a rather unpopular position: That QM make dice results mean what they mean. A four on a D100 is just that, a 4. It's the QM who says 'well, that's him ded'. So you can take the original result if you so want, it's just a matter of making it work from a story perspective.

Why didn't Danny get any modifiers but just a straight roll? I understand for Simurgh "No one can predict me and I always win in the end" or Leviathan "I'm fast and I like to ninja vanish. I would have gotten away with it if not for the pesky bug girl.". But I always pictured Behemoth as more of "No matter what you throw at me you can't stop me. No need for fancy plans or sneaky attacks.".

The only way for Danny to die in such a fight when by plan he should have never been anywhere near the EB fight is for the seismic sensors malfunctioning and Behemoth poking his head out right in the middle of the Tinker/Support tent/building when everyone was expecting him somewhere else. Capes only fight the Herokiller because if they wouldn't the damage would be worse to civilian populations.
Or for the teleporters tasked with evacuating the support area to take a nap.
I'm really curious how SW will pull it off and what will happen then to Taylor's living arrangements/the Privateers/the prospects of TSAB recruiting Taylor when they arrive so she can evade social services.

At least it wasn't a 1. With a 4 he might not die but a coma or something is not out of the question since Panacea doesn't do brains.

I wouldn't even be considering it except Behemoth got a resounding success, Danny's roll was SHIT, and the modifier roll in the middle just barely passed. And like I said, I'm still thinking. Thankfully I have until the interlude to figure out what to do.

He DID get a modifier. His DC was Behemoth's roll (in this case brought down to 60) divided by four. All he needed was a 15 out of 100 to survive unscathed.

Not the only way. I had something morbidly amusing planned to maybe happen in this EB fight thanks to outside interference depending on how the Oh Shit roll went.

Well, this is Wormwerse. Wildbow might have decided to hack your dice since you didn't add enough suffering up to now. As they say "Being Taylor is suffering."

And that DC15 was for survived unscathed. With such a relatively low DC death should be a 1 crit failure. 4 might be Mark Dallons fate after Leviathan or a coma due to brain damage. That still gives the Protectorate an opening to start messing around. Not to mention the guilt from not going. Maybe Dragon will help us out after this if the Dragonslayers show up and we manage to take them out because the only other option I see for our future except for Ward membership as a ward of the state is running to the TSAB.
