Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

Spell wise, I'd be all for Recursion Field or Ring Bind. RF might actually be really useful if it's not the rats/slimes that have Trickster's power but Trickster/someone with that power hiding nearby if we make the field small enough.

There is a recursion field required notice on it and said spell is greyed out on our list.

I officially state here to the thread that my point will go into Solar Wrath if and only if we have acquired Recursion Field. Until then, bank it.
Er, I think you might have misunderstood that. Putting points in SW would let us master it faster so that we can fire it in conjunction with other spells. The RF requirement is for the Breaker class spell, Ragnarök.

  • Solar Wrath (3/6 Adept) – Powerful bombardment spell. Unleash a beam of fiery destruction that is capable of destroying several barriers or walls before being stopped. Currently programmed to be non-lethal by default.
    • RECURSION FIELD REQUIRED!!!
Not according to this. Check the front page under the Calamity Witch tab.

Hm. It's getting late, so I'm propably not thinking that straight anymore, but actionwise, I'd be all for getting to the bottom of that mystery. First impulse would be to hack into the PRT computers like we were able to in BB, but then there's the fact that at least Alexandria thinks we're a Tinker and I can't recall if she let that slip to the general PRT for our ratings/their files, so if the hacking is discovered, we'd be more likely to be suspected.

we can have Storm gather all public reports on C53 cases in philly and plot them on a map. from that we can explorate patterns and commonalities in the c53 activities.

No, Firedon has it right. Omake get you training points to improve your control over your existing spells, not points for new spells. New spells can only be earned in-story.
.....That isn't what I was talking about.

At any rate, since people seem to think that Recursion Field is a shoe-in for the spell gained in the next post, please put my point into Solar Wrath.

Whoa, boy, don't get ahead of yourself here. And quit looking at my notes; it's rude. :)

Not sure what you're talking about, then. Whether you have Recursion Field or not has no impact on what happens when you train Solar Wrath. Ragnarök is blocked out because it has RF as a prereq, and I didn't want people wasting their votes when they can't get that spell yet.

Ah, could it be that you're a bit confused over spellmods and advanced spells being in the same place?
Wide Area Search (2/2 Master) – Send out non-damaging homing 'bullets' that map out the surroundings or search for a specified target. Can search within an 8 block radius in 20 seconds.
  • Ring Bind (0/2 Novice) – Conjure rings of magic that wrap around target's limbs to lock them in place. The binds last one hour unless broken or dismissed. Currently, only one target can be affected at a time.
Homing Bullet – Upgrade for Flare Shooter and Rust Shooter. Bullets now self-correct their trajectories to chase targets.
  • Burst (0/1 Adept) – Modification for Flare Shooter and Rust Shooter. Bullets may be set to explode upon contact or remotely.
Both in the same place, but one's a new spell and the other's a mod to an old one.
Solar Wrath (4/6 Adept) – Powerful bombardment spell. Unleash a beam of fiery destruction that is capable of destroying several barriers or walls before being stopped. Currently programmed to be non-lethal by default.
  • RECURSION FIELD REQUIRED!!!
As SW's said, it's the former here.
And the points would only go into the bolded part (4/6 Adept), for these:
Tiers

Novice: You know a given spell, but you can't use it particularly well. Attack spells are lethal by default.
Adept: You know a spell well enough that you can modify it on the fly. Attack spells can be used without worrying about killing the target, and utility abilities become more effective or faster to cast.
Master: You know a spell backwards and forwards. You can cast it at decreased efficiency even when your Device is in Standby mode, and because of this, you can use multiple spells simultaneously without worrying that one of them will fail unexpectedly. Trying to juggle several of them at once will still strain your concentration, however, so don't go around trying to cast every spell you know all at once.

The PRT knows what's up with Noelle. Or they at least have an educated guess on the source of the problem and are trying to keep it under wraps.
It's a shame to lose someone who can mass-produce loyal parahuman armies
Amusement: And who/what do we know of (us, not Taylor) that looks for convenient ways to produce large numbers of controllable parahumans?
Reluctance: We don't speak of hat people here. That's how we die. Everyone probably knows what we're insinuating anyway.

I'd make more sense if you could see the entire tree, but that particular branch of the Flare tree is all upgrades to Flare Shooter. That and the first branch of the Entropy tree are the only times you'll see upgrades set as new spells because that's exactly what they are, spells that let you do new things with your basic shooting spells.

No. What I said was that I was only interested in putting my point into Solar Wrath If the new spell Recursion field was gained in the coming turn(s). As I understand some people are voting to get said spell.

If we didn't get Recursion Field I didn't want my point added to Solar Wrath.

Well, Cauldron's long dead and gone, the Triple-threat only alive because they were off-base the day Scion popped in, freaked out, and blew himself up.
There are many other cape factions on Earth Bet militarizing and expanding their organizations.
Yeah, the Teeth get really annoying with their armies of parahumans. :V
Indeed, they are the primary suspect.:p
As a secondary suspect, I'd forward the stereotypical-Chinese-brainwashers, the Yangban.

Ah, ok. The talk about the required notice confused me then. Plus the time of 3 am.
Sorry about that.

I had dozens of ideas for this omake but part why through i got distracted and they made a massive pileup which forced me to call it quits before this became a mess. here's what i was able to get down:

//////

"Miss Militia, Vista, members of the Privateers thank you for coming today." Calamity Witch stood in the center of the warehouse the Privateers had turned into a temporary briefing room. As a number of the attendees replied with their own greetings Vista took the chance to look around from her place at Miss Militia's side. Samantha stood to Calamity's back like a mixture of a bodyguard and The Captain leaned on the railing of the catwalks above them, keeping a measured distance from the two heroines who weren't part of Privateers. The non-parahuman members of the group where arrayed in a loose semi-circle behind the government aligned heroes.

"Thank you for inviting us, your message mentioned a breakthrough on the matter of the Case 53 uptick?" Miss Milita's response brought Vista's attention back to Calamity who was now surrounded by floating holographic windows, showing a dizzying array of reports, maps and numbers.

"Yes." Calamity Witch nodded and expanded two of the windows to show a map of the city and what looked to be a timeline. "Everyone here is aware of what happened when I joined Vista and Bouncer on patrol a week ago so i won't go into details. this occurred here." an angry red dot appeared on the map, showing where the incident occurred and a matching dot appeared on the timeline. "For some time now there has been a spike in incidents involving Case 53's in the city." More dots appeared on the map and the timeline, each one gaining a tag showing casualties, property damage totals and other information that seemed almost random. "These incidents are characterized by the animal like and violent behavior of the Case 53s along with the 'seemingly' random nature of their activities. that's the key word here, Seemingly." Miss Militia seemed to stiffen suddenly, eyes zeroing in on Calamity.

"You found a common factor."

"That's right. the Case 53s in most of the incidents seemed to be after something. while we don't know the objective in most cases the ones we do know are either food, luxury items or assorted materials that would in theory be of no interest to an animal level intelligence."

"But would be to someone who is intelligent?" The words slipped out of Vista before she could stop herself, drawing everyone's eyes. But rather then rebukes Calamity smiled at her.

"Exactly. I believe that the Case 53s are under the control of a unknown group of parahumans do to the virialty of abilities displayed in support of them such as when the Rats switched places with the police care in last weeks attack. but that isn't the only thing pushing this conclusion." a series of rings appeared on the map, "The outermost ring is contains all known incidents and covers a diameter of 15 kilometers and the middling circle is 10 kilometers wide and contains 90% of incidents." murmurs went up through the warehouse as the Pirvateers study the map. "My first response was to want to start any searches from the epicenter but there's an anomaly with the spread of the incidents; in the area marked by the smallest circle there are absolutely no incidents which gives me two conclusions." the timeline vanished and the map zoomed in on the mentioned area. "Either there's something here keeping them away, or..." Her staff slammed on the ground and her movements became almost predatory. "That's the source."
