I was briefly tempted to have an Uber&Leet interrupt for the PR thing but decided against it since I doubt they'd be stupid enough to cause trouble in a mall full of heroes.
Sort of since the start. I only figured out how to do invisi text during chapter 5 (i think?) and then went back and edited some into the previous chapters. I've tried to write it so it's more of a little easter egg extra thing rather than 100% necessary for the story. My goal is to have the story still work even if the interludes and invisi text are excluded (it also comes across a lot more like crack if you avoid the interludes, which deeply amuses me).
Happy to get this update out.
Taylor's ratings will be in the next interlude. I may squeeze a small PHO 'OMGWTFBBQ!' reaction interlude in first, depending on how things go.
In Addy's hyperactive, power-addled mind things like long term planning and consequences are for other people.
... but why not? Just one serum for a power unlock? That sounds darn near mass produceable! And some of the Heroes powers are really strong!
Set up a power granting lab and become a competitor for Cauldron! Monopolies are bad anyway! I'm sure nothing could go wrong with that.

In fact, with how Addy's power work it even encourages her with its nature. Addy always has at most 3 weeks before her specialization changes, forcing her to always squeeze out every blueprint and tech that said techtree she currently has. She doesn't know if her next specialization would be good or not and can't rebuild things from the previous one unless she has a blueprint and has made it before its gone.
Even without the massive conflict drive of the Shard, that kind of conditioning is very noted. Until Addy manages to create a super recorder for all of her tech blueprints of course. If she misses out on doing this, she doesn't know when she would get another chance like this with how random the selection of powers is, that would eat her up hard.
Add that to Addy's own attitude of doing whatever she thinks is cool or good and you get a cocktail example of what a Parahuman is.

Nice battle, I have to say with Addy piloting the biotech creature would the PRT even care as long the thing can fight Endbringers if she ends up in Wards since the thing is brain dead and non reproductive so its not something that can actively spread apart from Piggot's thing.

Kharnivore itself, a 4 meter Brute that can tango with the giant twins and can shoot out lightning and teleport is a massive WTF for everyone
The PRT already think Splice can create reproducing creatures and now they have proof (especially with the tentecle samples proving it's connection with the Fluffles the 1st) that the Tinker they are looking for can also do this kind of bullshit is so absolutely frightening that would drown out the fact that the Nazis are the first responders to Medhall

No no, she attaked Medhall (which is also a pharmaciutical company that supports various hospitals) that is a well respected backbone of the city. That would get lots of the public up it's ass. Nazi's being the first responders aside, something that would be noticed and dealt by the likes of Armsmaster and Piggot after they deal with the BS of the super Biotinker creation, the E88 would probably just use that as reason to go at Splice now. They would probably make some public call about defending their city against monsters to make it seem that they care about the public and not fukin Nazis

Welp, this will be interesting. Even if the Nazis were there and made a mess of things the fact remains that Addie just attacked a hospital, that won't look good for her. I wonder what the public will think of this mess.
She didn't say 'You have five seconds to comply'. That's greatly disappointing.
Only for her brother to take his life again even if he's out of reach of his parents, her Thinker ability could have some effect but not enough but it would give her closure that he don't blame her.

It might be because it's closing in on 4:30 am when I read this... But the moment Addy ran off with parts of Armsy's bike I had this flash of her next spec being Biker Mice From Mars and having Kharnivore riding around on some squeeler esk chopper made with 'obvious' parts from his bike 
Nah I don't think he would. He is heavy on efficiency. So repurposing old parts would probably take a higher priority than having a backup bike. Specially since tinker teck (not from Tinker of Fiction) needs constant maintenance. Well there are exceptions. But even if he had more around others would use them and thus he would have to repair them. Thus lost time.
I am really looking forward to next chapter when Taylor's mom gets revived.
And the next tech tree will come at a perfect time. Since precog can also come with counter precog or even just being 2 precogs against each other will fuck the prediction since it will constantly change. And new tech trees add a random variable. So Fuck PtV. and with resurrection tech it is perfect timing since cauldron will want to some of that action if they find out. And team animal control/masters (name pending) are still too weak with 2 of them net even knowing yet they will have powers (Taylor's parents).
Well, Vita Chambers resurectees still have the need of continuous ADAM infusion. She would need other Biotinker specialties or healing tech like the Healing Staff from Overwatch to fully fix that problem, with that she would resurect or give out powers then immidiately heal them with it so that there are no side effects. Other biology manipulators could also fix it like Amy (except for the brain) or Bonesaw (which is a huge fuck no currently).

Which is why its currently just fanon. Its the most widely accepted fanon, but still fanon. Lisa's parents were, indeed, assholes. And if her brother was gay and suffering from the pressure put on him by his parents, society, and maybe his own inner turmoil... it would make sense.
Thankfully she will eventually get that problem fixed. As it is, with Taylor and her both as steady producers of Adam and her recording blueprints, she can always make more. Hell, she could install a Slug into Annette and she'd never have the problem except needing weekly ADAM bleedoff.
Hell, once people know about ADAM, its going to cause an explosion all its own.
Amy, if she eventually gets in on this, will definitely find the entire thing fascinating and probably her power is going to drive her to learn and help and do who knows what. Because Shaper.
According to his interludes he does keep spare equipment with differing capabilities
Spare Armscycletm probably wouldn't have the same exact capabilities of the destroyed one but a spare none the less to be used

Biggest problem of that is Amy's own black and white mentality (even though she is adopted Amy really inherited Carol's mentality to that) that when faced with what amounts as a biotinker creation then proceed to report it hard to the PRT immediately then proceed to angst hard on why she wants to learn about it more and how that is wrong.

That was a very exciting... Nope I'm not calling it a heist. A heist is about subtly, misdirection, planning, spinning down from the roof on wires and flirting with guards. That was a smash and grab, a damn excellent and well planned smash and grab mind you, but still a smash and grab... In multiple ways considering the cafe window and the Alabaster club.
I really look forward to seeing this update, it's fluffy and fun in just the right way without devolving into crack.

Wouldn't be THAT hard to give Annette an official identity. Just have Addy make a few cosmetic changes to throw off facial recognition, insert fake documents and certifications, and move in.

And if the "mysterious bug master" happened to mention to the heroes how strange it was that all of the Nazis seemed to be coming from inside Medhall, rather than turning up from elsewhere to render assistance?
(That, and Kaiser's armour isn't airtight - how many bug-bites is his face now covered in?)
