I thought you just needed a big enough source of stress, but in the case of a parahuman, rubbing their tigger event in their faces is an easy out. Getting somebody that freaked out is hard, unless you can double dip from the trauma well for extra mileage.
Nope the 2 trigger has to replicate with the original trauma but worse, and occurs when the shard is near budding, and the shard needs to highly value the host's potential to not just move on

I think he means the fact that the metaknowledge came from a man. And is ignoring the fact that said Male personality seems to have been completely absorbed by Addy, making examining it entirely pointless.
All that's gonna do is bring angst that won't be relevant too the story. Its also out of character for Addy to suddenly care about her gender, she's mentally unstable and if she's willing to biotinker on herself then she shouldn't really care about the sex change

Uh, yea, leaving aside that its pretty traditional in the medium to minimize reincarnation body horror, the target here is Addy.
It was a worry for a bit, but this girl has got a tenuous enough grip on reality that she thinks nothing of sassing Ziz over a telepathic bond.
She's a biotinker with no sense of squick, who happily operates on herself, and one of her earliest additions was putting a magic slug inside herself, after that she cloned herself, killed herself, bound her soul into a magic artifact, and the argument there was which one got to be the summon.
Magic tattoo, alien psychic powers, built in tools. She thinks the cathulu's are cute. She's so far past biotinker prejudices that she barely comprehends other people have them. Bonesaw would look at Addy and go "damn, slow down!"
The list of things wrong with this girl is damn near D) All of the Above, but one thing she doesn't have is body image issues. Aside from maybe deciding her's isn't cool enough, but don't worry she'll fix that, weather you want her to or not. Be ready to talk her down from adding tentacles.
Yea, that's pretty typical. So is the 'gradual change' like we saw in this story, still the 'old life' long enough to use your outsider knowledge for shenanigans, but adapt to your new role to make the new life not awkward pretty rapidly.
Some stuff just straight ignores it too. I'm a Spider so what? Just has the main character wake up as a goddamn spider, aaaaand that's kinda it. That's not what the story is about, so its just ignored.
If body horror is your goal, fine go with that, but in this case, Addy is probably the least likely to suffer from body horror person alive at this point.
She may end up traumatizing everybody else, but not herself.
There's actually a plot-point relating to that, and quite why the main character isn't quite as discombobulated as the one who woke as a dragon, relatively far down the line…
At this point, I think the aspect of her change that is most traumatising her is that she's now attracted to boys (specifically, Kin Win). And very much in denial about it.
I admit its been a hot minute since I read that far back, but I got more of a 'ohh he's cute, no bad hormones, down!' vibe out of it.
Also, I can't really picture Addy in any relationship, just because of the attention span. Her thought process is gonna be 1. Oh he's cute. 2. Hey tinkering! 3. What was I thinking about?
Yeah, Addy in a relationship is very unlikely considering her priorities right now are just tinkering and save the world and she's gonna be too busy to commit to a relationship.
What would be funny though is Addy in a Romcom. An omake series where we have an Aged up, adorably enthusiastic Addy acting like a mad scientist and her loving boyfriend trying too keep her out of trouble.

Girl Genius looks like an amazing tech tree for Addy, they have Death rays, Clanks, Lucrezia's Summoning Engine, Slaverwasps and most importantly Jägerbräu. There's also the chance that Addy gets to turn herself into a Spark.

Yup, ADAM wouldn't have any effect on Levi at all. We'll start seeing some of the consequences of ADAM in the sewers sometime after the fight.
Addy wouldn't suicide out of the wards since that'd make it awkward to invite Missy over for sleepovers when she's supposed to be dead
It's a good thing Addy has vita-chambers. Also Vista wouldn't second trigger from that sort of thing because second triggers need to match the original trigger. It's why second triggered capes tend to be really rare.
At the moment Addy has pretty much gotten over her past self being male and gradually slipped into being more and more girly. Not that she'd admit it of course.
The romcom thing could be hilarious. I can't really picture Addy being in a proper relationship, not without somebody being extremely tolerant of her brand of

Here's a little non-canon omake about what could have happened if Addy had wound up with a different tech tree instead of rolling Eberron.
Rain poured down, drenching the gathered defenders. Far more capes than normal had come to protect the city, the hours of warning a Godsend. Usually there was maybe fifteen minutes at best to scramble whatever forces available. Today they had three times their usual number, ready and waiting.
A precog capable of seeing Endbringer targets was going to be a game changer. Well the girl wasn't just a precog. Ridiculous grab-bag or trump might be more appropriate, what with all the powers she's pulled out. They wanted to evacuate her from the fight but she objected because this was her home that was being attacked.
"Wave." Warned the tinkertech armband, announcing what everyone was busy watching for. The opening to this fight.
Legend took to the air, ready for Leviathan's appearance even as Eidolon and numerous others handled the wave and kept it from doing much damage to the city.
Lightning flashed and suddenly Leviathan was there, water streaming behind him. Armbands blared, announcing their foe's position. And just like that, battle was joined.
Dodging the water shadow Legend almost didn't notice Magpie, the girl who'd warned them all in the first place, materialising from a flock of crows right in the path of the attack. The water parted smoothly around her, the girl completely unaffected by the attack. Even the rain was sliding right past her, leaving her completely dry.
Leviathan took offence to her no-selling his water attacks and rushed forward, arm held at the ready to eviscerate the young parahuman the moment she was in range. If Magpie was afraid it didn't show in her eyes. Instead the girl simple tossed a small ball at Leviathan as he began his swing. The orb connected first and the Endbringer was suddenly transformed into a beam of red light and sucked into the ball.
The ball shook once, twice, three times before stilling. Instantly the torrents rain stopped falling and the skies began to clear. Everyone nearby stared at the ball in confusion even as Magpie skipped over and picked it up.
"Gotta catch'em all." She giggled to herself, shrinking down the tennis ball sized orb down to something the size of a marble and tucking it into her pocket.

So lack of gym badges should not be an issue if she can actually catch Levi.

No, they don't. They refuse orders and skip a turn.
In the anime this happened with Ash's Charmeleon and Charizard.

Ash did not capture Charmeleon.
This may differ between anime and games (and between games), but i am pretty sure i had no problem controlling my absurdly overlevelled pokemon with no badges whatsoever in Pokemon Shield.

That only applies to TRADED Pokemon. If you catch an over leveled Pokemon, it works perfectly fine.
