The Simurgh still being an evil bitch who is straight up bullshitting Addy with the 'friendbringer' fanon stereotype is wonderful.
Technically, both the canon and fanon Ziz are accurate right now? I think? Ziz is getting emotion emulation from Addy, and while it'll probably be a while for that connection to meaningfully influence her the errors will probably start piling up at some point.

An ice cream playdate with Host-Adeline would be very entertaining in the long run.
I always have a bad feeling in my gut whenever Ziz comes up in this fic, as well as Addy's cavalier attitude towards her. Cracky fics usually have her be redeemable some way while others have her being a complete monster. This chapter cemented Ziz as the latter, and I dread the moment this comes back to bite Addy in the ass. The one hope I have for this not to be a future Cerebus Syndrome moment is that Addy is infecting 'Simmy' with emotions.

"Or we could ask her." Contessa piped up
Addy's phone rang. Noting the caller ID as 'The Countess', Addy picked up.
"'Sup Pot, Kettle here." A pause. "Twenty total. Uh Huh. Yeah, bye."
She looked up at the bemused people around her "What?"

That's like asking which form of cancer is your favourite?
Sky Cancer, obviously.

Biotinkered monsters are far more of a threat to us, and probably this entire country, than one lone bomb tinker.

"You bastards!"

PHO interludes sustain me so bad and Addy's shenanigans makes it so chaotic lol. If she had gotten to detail of the EBs and their purpose it would be hilarious... even if everyone freaks out and crap.

Now I wonder how would Ziz look like or if she acts like a millenial given she was deployed in the 21thcentury, though I really wish the ice cream company the ice cream party they would have won't get screwed up by ZIz based on her expectation, it would genuinely suck especially would be an ass thing to do given it would be good ice cream, probably. Also man I wonder what would be Manton and Jacob's reaction on this, makes me wonder tbh I just wish their catatonic and the S9 being suspicious of what crap they are and all that, though Cherish would realize her folly on trying to Master her way into S9's leadership with this.

Anyways, found TYPOs @Unders I think? Dunno, exhausted and all that, though mix some suggestions too also.

She replied to the local Youth Guard idiot busy blathering at her, this time about how Magpie's request to contact Mothri (and thus her guardians) had been blocked by her after that entire fiasco on May third. She was also deeply glad that her own powers meant she didn't have costume issues like that. Skin tight silk was one thing (and at least it was bulked out in places with her chitinous armor panels). Wearing nothing but forcefields was something else entirely.

Conflict Drone Seven never needed to alter the way Adeline thought or manipulate her the way she did to her other her other 'time bombs'. Two cycles ago she'd set up a complex series of plans that would have incited a series of conflicts that would've resulted in so much data that Thinker would've simultaneously elevated her permission levels and caused Thinker to hold her in much higher esteem, leading to even more important roles in future cycles. But no. Conflict Drone Twelve had to ruin all her plans. Like an...

And there was also the consequences of vanishing from orbit and her current surveillance to consider. The panic caused would be amusing, even more so when she foresaw the panic returning to orbit with with an empty tub of ice cream would set off. "That... that is a frighteningly valid possibility. During the fight Alchemyst stated the Endbringers were never human to begin with. If her power was correct in that deduction then they must have been created by the Entities themselves for whatever reason, and if so the must be some sort of Agent responsible for monitoring or controlling them. That could be how Magpie knew the targets Leviathan was after."

"I'll question her about." Rebecca said. "Or maybe I'll have Director Piggot do it. I don't want to risk her discovering that Alexiandra is also the Chief Director. With her tendency for rash action that fact would be all over the evening news the day she discovered it." She then gestured to the her copy of Magpie's file. Hi people. I'm Magpie. I'm borrowing my sister's account to post on since the mods haven't unmuted my official magpie account because they're sticks in the mud or whatever. Here's a funny little video of me dancing to prove it's me Magpie. [Linkie]

Glen Chambers felt a headache coming on.

Glen wasn't really surprised she'd been found violating her probation without days of being moved to New York and pulled out of the Wards after Darknight (a former villain) had brought certain issues to light. At least Darknight, despite being a former villain and from Brockton bay as well, wasn't giving them any issues and might even make a very nice success story in the future.

Maybe he could try spin this? It did help her seem to be more human and approachable. Something to think on during his flight from L.A to Boston. Glen needed to get involved with this personally. Magpie's popularity was already too high now for anything to be left to anyone by himself and his team. Another quick check on other social media platforms (PHO wasn't the only one after all) showed the latest meme was quickly going viral.

Her deputy nodded. "We've had agents not on duty liaising with local emergency services and the national guard looking into various sectors of the city to assess the damage.

I'll be blunt. The Rig is a write off. Jefferson," he nodded towards said PRT commander, "has got teams stationed around it to keep civilians and unwanted elements from poking around, not that there should be anything worth looking at. Armsmaster was very thorough in securing everything of value prior to the battle. There's evidence that looks like somebody was after something in the tinker testing lab." He brought up some images of the damage to door locks that had allowed unauthorised entry from the outside all the way to the lab in question.

It'll be a huge clean up operation to get things even remotely like how they were before, and that's ignoring some of the smaller ships from the ship graveyard being washed further ashore.

The only attendees to this meeting were Armsmaster, his second in command Miss Militia, Director Piggot herself, her own second in command Deputy Director Rennick, Dragon, and lastly Commander Jefferson who had overall command of the ENE's strike teams.

"First up. Preliminary damage reports. Rennick if you would?" Piggot started the meeting off, feeling inwardly and outwardly exhausted over the events of the last two days and the running about required to assess damage and make plans to fix said damage.
"A black hole?" Rennick asked, his eyes wide. Then realisation struck him. "I suppose that's where the rest of the holes through the Rig came from." He brought up another set of images, showing a line of two-foot diameter holes leading from that lab all the way to and through the exterior wall.

"Interesting but I don't actually care. Rennick, the rest of the report please before we get off on more tangents." She'd like to maybe finish this meeting sometime before her kidneys failed.

"I'll go north to south. The Trainyard fared the best out of any location in the city. Too far from the coastline to suffer much against the waves and Leviathan's attack path never moved through it. It still suffered some damage from the waves, but compared to the docks and parts of downtown it's relatively unscathed."

Rennick took a sip of water and continued.
The local Protectorate leader then nodded to Rennick and seated himself back down.

Rennick then continued his report. "Next is the ship graveyard, and unfortunately for us it's even more of a jumbled, tangled mess of derelict ships. On the bright side the entrance to Lord's Port is clear, which we can all see from the window since the container ship is no longer blocking the entrance to the bay. The downside is it's now in two pieces and clustered about the other ships. I've no idea the ecological damage caused by all those ships being moved about by tidal waves.

"Well,
we've already gone over the Boardwalk and the Rig. Next would be gigantic glacier visible out the window." Piggot's deputy director jerked his head towards the other window and the mass of ice easily visible in the distance. "We don't have damage assessments at the moment, but suffice to say it isn't going to be good. It's quite likely the ice scoured everything in it's path away down to the bedrock."

tidal waves."

Well
,
"Thank you Rennick." Piggot thanked the man once he concluded his report and turned to Armsmaster. "Now, the gang situation. What do you have for me?"
Renick
"I've already prevented two attacks against aid conveys heading towards the refugee camps we have set up on the city outskirts those people who have lost everything." Dragon added. "It's likely they'll get more and more desperate in their attempts as their own supplies of drugs are used up."

Well she wasn't going to give up without a fight! If she had to drag the national guard to support her teams in combing every inch of the city she fucking would. Brockton Bay would not become a second Ellisburg. Not on her watch. "Do we have any way to track her down yet?"
National Guard
"Find a way to get it under control. Personally I'm going to be contacting the national guard for extra bodies if I have to. Thankfully we at least have the political capital to spend on this." Piggot stated, then began to explain at the confused looks. "I've been in talks with the Mayor most of the day. The short version is that as we are the site where an Endbringer was soundly defeated every single career politician from her to the west coast wants to be associated with us. Standing by the city that stopped Leviathan is too much free political gain for those vultures, but it makes our lives easier."

Not to mention that Splyce was doing her level best to try her own hand at recreating Ellisburg. For once though the US government was less incompetent than usual and had actually sent in the national guard to back up the ENE's forces in killing off Splyce's latest horrors.

The funniest thing is that the Simurgh was one of the main contributors to Scion's death.
Now imagine that this emotional contamination will turn her into Magpie 2.0: completely chaotic brat with the attention span of a flea.
Then she'd decide keeping the Cycle and humanity running is not as swell as doing random destructive shit just for pure amusement.
Hell on Earth scenario.
Then Scion'd either 'Know what? I'm gonna get outta here' or just purge the whole multiverse with extreme prejudice before contacting Abaddon and nervously telling him how 'he had seen shit'.

Edit: Speaking of ice-cream visit. Why not just let her live with Magpie in BB? It's not like there is any actual reason for her to aimlessly float in the sky when she can personally participate in future Brockton Chaos and keep Addy safe from Cauldron pedophiles. IIRC there is no protocol restrictions placed on her about where she needs to hang out between raids, the most obvious reason would be her appearance, and Addy can fix it. So why not?

I'm seeing signs that the connection between Addie and Simmie is a two way street. Corruption goes both ways

Simurgh may go from manipulative Engbringer pretending to be nice to Friendbringer for real.
I feel like this is going to further prove Cauldron's theory that Addy mimics EB powers, afterall what is more Simurgh than turning the Simurgh herself into an Addy Bomb

(Alternatively, "Simurgh used Simurgh Bomb, Addy used reflect, Simurgh is now confused)

The first are basically giant rats. The largest my teams have seen so far is the size of a German shepherd, but most appear to average the size of a Bulldog. From my own encounters with them they're extremely territorial, vicious and smart as well. Maybe as much as a human child

This also doubles as a reminder that while Magpie lives in a cartoon, everyone else is living in a deathworld, lol.

Rather than Deathworld, perhaps the better term would be "Hellworld", since Magpie can now officially ressurect people so that they can continue to suffer for eternity.

I think that Simmy has missed something important with her plan to meet Addy for ice cream. If her plan works the ice cream company will be destroyed, but she will no longer be able to get more of their ice cream. I am almost hoping her plan works, just so she can feel the pain of never being able to have that ice cream again.

I await Leet getting more reviews.

Magpie admitted they tapped into Leet's Power..

Magpie did her AMA and blurted out so many 'secrets', Like when she Tinker's in her underwear, she wears Armsmaster Brand.

I am surprised she did not insult him by calling him 'Arsemuncher' as such.

How many will try to kill Alexandria with the reveal by Magpie's AMA?

Her power had been throwing out all sorts of crap now that she had a way to deal with the headaches.
It's pulling the malcious compliance gig since you're slipping the leash (don't want to bother calcing this thing so Thinker Headache!).
"The Crowley family require our support. Gather your things. We have a pilgrimage to make and a heathen to punish."
Looks like Magpie is going to be getting a few more counts of self defense.
"Well that's a workable plan for Leviathan sorted.
Wonder if they'll leave any sensors with the bottle or Addy will just yeet it back without them ever knowing.
The only thing keeping her from vetoing the entire idea was that Magpie would be kept entirely offworld, meaning that she couldn't build anything too worrisome that could cause Cauldron trouble if they did that this option.

Oh you poor ignorant fools. Her shard would be giving her the good stuff if you did that. Becuase Addy would be upset if she was taken away from her family by a much of morons. And when Addy is upset, Reality Lens is upset.

Addy will have forcibly created world peace.
If Addy creates world peace it'll be by accident or as a side effect of something else.

This also doubles as a reminder that while Magpie lives in a cartoon, everyone else is living in a deathworld, lol.
This is what I was trying to get at in my previous post. Addy lives in a world where Ziz is a lovable troll. Everyone else lives in a world where Ziz is the worst nightmare.
This will either end with Addy crushed by sudden but inevitable betrayal or Addy accidentally and unknowingly enforcing her reality onto the space pigeon.
I am so very much hoping for the latter.

Oh you poor ignorant fools. Her shard would be giving her the good stuff if you did that.
Also, Addy has that crafting-focused Dragonmark. You know, the one that will eventually give her access to infinite resources from thin air?

Is it too bad I can picture Addy taking a Selfie pic with Simmy and them giving each other 'bunny ears with fake thought bubbles on t-shirts?

Such as "I'm Psychic!" and Simmy with "U give me a headache"

How long until t-shirts come out with bottled Levi prints?

Caremelladansen shirts?

"It could work, however such an option would need to be kept away from the Heberts' and Magpie's notice long enough for it to go through to have any chance of success. Closed court meetings at the very least. If they find out about it too soon my inability to path the girl could throw up problems or even derail that entire Path, and even then I can't predict how the girl would react to the situation." Contessa replied after considering it for a moment. "Four hundred and seventy-three steps. Assuming Magpie doesn't interfere. If she does it's up in the air."
They really don't learn. Causing problems for Magpie leads to Magpie letting loose problems on you. She dropped an Endbringer on Piggot's desk to avoid being punished with console duty or something equally banal. What do you think Magpie will do in retaliation to this? She already self-defended herself lethally against her last kidnappers.
