on the one hand, I hate fics, where tinker oc give priceless designs to authorities practically for free, on the other addy's is on a crazy train with no breaks with each stop and speed bump making me want to beat my head against the table coroner while frothing at the mouth, that PRT intervention is welcome at this point.
Taylor telling addy that she gonna get some help gave me hope only for her to completely do a 180 and immediately accepting when addy tells that she's a necromancer without asking about the side effects, all the while still planning to do what she agreed not to do is just a bitch move, I know it's the right thing to do in the end but the hypocrisy and mental gymnastics that Taylor has to use to rationalise that decision just makes me wanna punch, you know from a safe distance.
anyhow at this point I just resigned myself to the madness and decided to enjoy the ride, I would be interested to see Taylor's take on the matter.

I say angry-looking because they only merely looked angry, instead of showing the full depth of the sheer murderous fury the possessed as they glared hatefully over wickedly sharp beaks at the world with their blood-red eyes.
One of them fluffed it's feathers up in irritation as Taylor stared at it. On of the lashed out with it's beak to snap up a fly that flew too close.
A beautiful, pale, ghostly woman appeared and swirled about the TV which suddenly turned itself on and switched to the news. I left out the human mastering aspect, since Taylor would probably find some reason to complain about it.

Taylor breathed a sigh of..relief I think? Why? Any way I opened my mouth for the next bit when suddenly she jumped in Fright then picked me up by the shoulders.

That thing she does with Clockblocker where she smacks him from like ten feet away? What's to stop her from doing that to villains with knives. Or tranquillisers? Other than the PRT's PR department shoehorning her into being a cutesy little PR pony instead of a proper harbinger of ruin and destruction."

Will be looking forward to your take on how Vista would develop her powers in that direction, it would be hilarious if her new powers help capture Addy if she go out as a cape only that Vista end up letting her go when she recognize the Addy word vomit considering how much of her shard influencing her, would not be surprise if she act similar as a cape.
After the huge fuss building the vita chamber I do hope we see a slice of life with Addy inviting her minions/friends over for a sleepover having fun while bringing their own signature food with Taylor being the awkward proud big sister as the host for the event something that make her nostalgic and happy seeing Addy enjoying herself despite being a cape and the events of Medhall.
Bonding for everyone, to be honest I do hope Missy end up changing sides and become a mole with limits for the Heberts, staying quiet about them being capes!
Imagine Taylor being happy about getting someone helping her rein in Addy should she ends up Tinkering at school, its becoming a full time job should she find out how much gaps she missed with what Addy being up to.

The whole "Vista is terrifying" thing is actually a lot more hilarious than I originally thought. Remember that:
1) The girl who's talking about Vista being super dangerous is the one Vista reported as being a potential pre-cog.
2) Vista likely had to report the above conversation to the PRT, who are operating under the same assumption.
I think addy is working on her getting her degree from the Nanoha School of Friendship. Needs more lasers and huge explosions if she wants to graduate with honors though.
QA is just jealous that she is completely nerfed by the Warrior in every cycle for the last few dozen millenias. Other Queens like Shaper and Harvester got to flex their abilities everytime with their first host or bud. The Warrior is just holding her back because they are still mad at her prematurey ending multiple cycles, they got lots of Data why are they still mad a out that.
Suggestion when it comes to invitext of Entity spech

Addy has no plans to hand over any tech for free. Maybe loan if the situation was bad enough but she's a bit possessive of her stuff.
We'll get a Taylor POV soon. Short version she feels guilty about the 180 and guilty that she'd probably do it again.

It's going to be a little awkward for Addy to explain that part, but being addicted to a chemical that Addy can produce is stupidly large quantities is still probably better than being dead.
ADAM withdrawal is what leads to the Splicers in bioshock being so messed up (and also why they're happy to try hunt and kill Little Sisters for their ADAM if they can get away with it).

Okay, joking answer aside I've considered having a sleepover scene (or something similar involving hanging with friends outside of school). It'll depend on what my muse throws at me I guess.

Well technically once she's revived Annette would count as a biotinker creation of some sort. Of course the PRT would need to know she's been revived in the first place.
I also do wonder, hypothetically, how long it would take for a Taylor with much greater control of her powers (including having the bug senses thing down) to discover that one of her bullies is phasing through things at school to set up nasty pranks. Such a hypothetical scenario would possibly taint Taylor's view of the PRT a little.

Gave it a quick try but things didn't look right. It'd probably work better if I wasn't using invisi text and had the overall formatting set up for properly including shardspeak instead of just sneaking it in there. Will grab it for my Lisa SI fic though once I eventually get back to writing that one.

Could Addy install a sea-slug into Annette to bypass the threat of Adam withdrawal? Like if it's producing Adam at the same rate she's using it to remain stable, that should make everything fine right?
Just found this. Mostly enjoying it but having trouble with the amount of Shard influence. The drive for tinkering after not doing so for a while is fine but the manual [CONFLICT]s and [INSISTENCE]s are just too much for a character that already has absurd impulse control problems. It comes off looking as a method to try and excuse away decisions the mc wouldn't have made otherwise.
Most powers pick hosts that will use them and trigger events that will evoke the state of mind that creates conflict, they aren't like Burnscar (emotions deadened with more power use) or Stalker (Wildbow giving a last minute cop out for her being a psycho), and it takes a lot more than a couple days or weeks before they can't help themselves. There's just much less enjoyment in reading about an actively mind-controlled character who can't make her own decisions. I'm still reading for now but there are increasingly difficult parts to get through.

But things like set of [INSISTENCE] at the end of Chapter 6 and the [CONFLICT] to fight with GG detracted for me because it didn't seem to really be Addy's decision and she didn't notice at all.

Yeah the shard influence seems to be a bit of an acquired taste, which is why I'm leaving it in invisi text so people who don't want to see it don't need to. Aside from the brief moment where Addy's thoughts were deliberately overwritten (to keep her from realising her shard has as much influence as it has) her shard has mostly been keeping it to nudges. It's also super excited to actually have a host and is doing it's best to HALP host.

Annette is too old. Taylor might be able to handle one, but her mom can't. For some reason the slugs work best with young girls as hosts
