FATHER QUEST - A Cartoon Network: Villains Victorious CK2-Style Quest Cross Over

So, out of curiosity, specifically from the KND side, are there any characters people are interested in connecting with?

I was just watching through some clips and kind of hope that Numbuh 86 is a potential unit
We actually have another KND member related to the Uno family nobody really talks about

Admittedly she's just the daughter of the brother of Nigel's mom, but still, its weird Numbuh 10 is so insignificant to the story given the focus on family.

She's co anchor to the KNDs news organization Sector L

I'm hoping that we can get Professor XXXL

The guy just wants to make the perfect snow cone, so I imagine if we seriously invest in the ice cream side of Father's business he'll come and ask to join up.

Omake: Construction Work

Father frowned to himself as he looked over his new blueprints. Upon them the design for his newest personal project. A giant robot with which to enact his will. Or at least there would be soon enough. Once he had figured out just what he was going to make. That part was unfortunately rather slow to come to him.

He chewed on his pipe as he thought. It was possible that he could just fall back on an old favorite. His old mansion hadn't been the only thing demolished after all. His garage containing all of the older machines had been wrecked as well. Even his old favorite machine had been reduced to little better than scrap. With the computer and the bots themselves wrecked he would have to rebuild them himself. Or rather use employees and potentially the knight bots to do the actual labor.

The first thing that came to mind was to rebuild his old favorite. The Really Really Incredibly Destructive Machine. Ugh he really needed to come up with a better name for it. That was just a mouthful to say and would get old really fast. It made sense to do so. It was easily his most powerful machine. Being more than capable of dealing with any of those KND remnants that might be hanging around. As shown with how it made mince meat out of those five brats and their treehouse a while back. At the same time it could deal with those monsters that had started cropping up like that fish creature.

The cost and time to do so was just out there. There was a reason he had rarely ever used it. And only allowed his children to use it the once. Father knew that they had tried to build their own lesser version of it. That one had gotten wrecked during some plan of theirs at school. Not surprising really given they didn't really know how to build their own. Just being able to build a cheap knockoff of the original.

That machine was expensive as heck. Only someone with a lot of experience with mechanics would understand just what went in to it. The materials to construct the hull alone would be more expensive than most skyscrapers and similar structures in terms of scale. Do you think normal steel could withstand laser blasts like that? No that was specially crafted armor custom made to endure all kinds of punishment. Getting a hold of it all would be a real exercise for his wallet.

That wasn't even getting in to all of the weapons and gadgets. All of the custom made machinery and parts that went in to it. The mechanisms and regeneration tech installed in the tendrils. The servos and gyroscope in the quartet of legs. The needed miniaturized firing mechanism for the rocket launchers. Don't even get him started on the flaming chainsaws. You had to properly balance the chemicals for the flames while ensuring the saws themselves were not hindered or damaged by the heat. That had been a long bout of trial and error to make. Not to mention the sheer size of it would make the entire thing take a sizable length of time to complete.

That was the reason he rarely used it. If it got damaged, however unlikely that was, it would take a small fortune to fix just one system. It's why he had specified not one scratch to his children when they borrowed it. His pockets while deep were not infinite. He would rather not invest so much while his businesses were still out of sorts even if he could technically do it.

So that left him to build something else then. The only question to that being what?

I don't know about recruiting, since I think it would probably be hard to get operatives to willingly work for Father outside the direst of circumstances, at least until they turn 13, and the timeskip here hasn't been that long. While I'm aware some operatives have gone on to work for other groups out of necessity, I don't see KND members being willing to work for the entire organization's (not just a single sector's) archenemy any time soon.

All that said, I could see Father going through the lengths of rescuing 86 for the sake of a loyalty boost with Mr. Bossman if we can find him, or get something out of him at the very least. I could also see grabbing 362 while we're at it, if for no other reason than long term planning. It'd be a waste of the talent of a top tier operative and Supreme Leader of KND to be stranded in the moon when time alone will turn her and 86 into potential assets once they become teens. For that, doing them a solid now and planting the seed early on could be very useful.

Not a sure thing though. I'm not sure how the global changes, the collapse of KND and the assumption that decommissioning processes have been halted would factor into potentially recruiting them, but it's not a bad investment.

I'm somewhat worried that his life passion could negatively affect his range of actions like a certain character in Doofquest, but I'm neverthelesss open to recruiting him for the sinergy with our ice cream business and as a very good candidate for our learning hero.

Personally I'm against having him as our designated learning hero. Instead we should have him as our Ice Cream R&D so we can gain market dominance. If someone else picks him up we'll have some real competition soon.

I actually think it's entirely possible to recruit some of the less negatively impacted by father KND agents for a simple reason. We have the KND manual. If the kids want to at least have some access to it and want to still help kid kind, working for father to stop the less petty and more murderous villains is absolutely in the cards.

As much as an asshole father is, his plans were mostly really petty shit like building skate parks kids can't use, or turning the treehouses into broccoli. And since the origin of the delightful kids is unknown, most kids will only know him from those schemes and not the actual fucked up stuff he's done in the distant past.

I imagine a kid with their family, say, stuck in the unknown who only escaped that fate due to being a KND agent at the time of the merge would rather team up with Father than have their family be at the mercy of the beast

I mean he had some legitimately evil ones, such as when he tried to bake a bunch of kids into a cake. But for the most part he was petty.

As for which KND operatives we can work with; out of the 7 Major Operatives I think only 362 would be willing. Way to much bad blood with Sector V, and 86 legit only tolerated Father as Soopreme leader because 362 asked her to. She was prepared to drag him off to the decomissioning room and said his "Soopreme Leaders can never be decomissioned" rule was stupid (This does mean I think Father is technically still a KND agent, but 86 isn't letting him onto the Moonbase ever).

Outside of the 7 biggest in the Show we have Sector Z (Even more bad blood) and Monty. Monty seems to be trying to organise the KND splinter cells, If we can reach out to him he might be willing to help... if we make sweeping changed to how we treat kids.

Of minor Numbuhs, most would probably be able to be bullied into helping, but avoid 13.

Omake: Potential Upgrades
Omake: Potential Upgrades

Father frowned to himself as he looked over his half completed blueprints. The project was coming along if rather slowly. Too slow for his taste, but he supposed you could not rush genius. At least not when you were the one doing the work. It would be convenient if you could though.

Pausing to think for a moment he let his eyes drift across the roof. Eventually they settled on one of his knight robots. The mechanical suit of armor standing guard in the corner. He then invisibly frowned as a thought occurred to him. His knight bots were quite frankly underperforming for him.

The idea had just now come to him. Pausing for a moment he let his mind roll back to the past. In particular the time the KND invaded his home. Oh he had not made it easy for them. His defense systems were impressive in their own right. Unfolding from various angles across his otherwise immaculate mansion to attack. Then of course when the brats got close the knights had marched forth to fight them. Buying time for him to complete his scheme. Though that particular plan had ended in failure.

Still though that was all they really did. It was a common trend for his work really. No robot he built in a short length of time or mass produced could hope to compete with him. They really only served some support role or were used by his children who lacked powers of their own. Before now he hadn't really thought about it much.

Now he looked at them with a more critical eye. His security was still present in the renovated mansion. Still it had been beaten before. Now that he had rebuilt it more for pleasure he was keen on keeping it secure. Especially now with things around the world turning into a real mess. He wasn't completely caught up yet, but even a passing look around could tell him that much.

The current model was lacking in terms of ability. They had been defeated by those KND brats far too easily for his liking. These were literal children without real combat training and ramshackle weapons. Logically they should have emerged the victor. Or at least held back the brats better.

It seemed to him some upgrades to the design were due. The first of which he decided would be the weaponry. Outside of the fiery variants they possessed no ranged ability. Father distinctly remembered them just marching to the enemy with hands outstretched. Getting pelted from afar and a good number being knocked down. Perhaps replacing one of the hands with a laser weapon would work. It would require some adjustments to the programming to aim and fire, but was easily doable.

The second would be their durability. Or at least their ability to take a hit and get back up. He was fairly sure those brats were shooting ice cream during the invasion. That would need to be taken care of. Maybe some adjustments to the kegs to ensure stability and bracing. Maybe a few changes to the composition of the armor itself.

The last was their intelligence. They were quite simply dumb as bricks. Just marching forward into ongoing fire was a sign of that. That was going to be tedious to do. It would require rewriting their programming to do so. Maybe some adjustments to the processors as well. Tedious and time consuming, but still doable.

Well that was what he had employees for he supposed. He would go over the new design after he was done with this project. No one was invading his home any time soon. Not if he had anything to say about it.

I hope we can bag Nicole Watterson like if I remember correctly the document says we did in the mainline cruel network timeline.

Imagine how dead anything that pissed off both father AND Nicole would be.

Coop are also full blown Kings
Evil Coop is a mirror universe version of Coop and was already evil.
(X) The Responsible Things(And A Giant Robot) Woo ! Battlemech! Here we go!
You're gonna want a line break after that closing bracket.

Nicole "canonically" ends up working for Blackhat, not Father.

[X] Operation: D.E.A.T.H. and T.A.X.E.S. (Doing Everything Acceptable To Help Take An eXceptional Enterprise Skyward)

I'm a sucker for good Operation names...

Also, no idea on what to draw first.

If I were to make a list of operatives worth recruiting that could theoretically be recruited...

-Numbuh 362: as has been said, probably the only one coolheaded enough to be reasoned into accepting for the greater good. Comes with the benefits of a Supreme Leader level operative.
-Numbuh 86: squeezing the link with Mr. Boss for all its worth, but only in the cards on the asumption of 362 already accepting.
-Numbuh 274/Chad: technically a teen, but also technically KND. Also a former Supreme leader with all it entails, and probably the most likely to actually accept the job in relatively decent terms given his previous work with adults.
-Numbuh 10: already grasping at straws here, and only in the veeeeery technical relation with Father through the Uno family. Might be a workable diplomat? For whatever much a child diplomat is worth to the other factions.
-Numbuh 30c: another relatively reasonable choice to recruit without big penalties, but it would rely on our ice cream techtree and possibly a recruitment of Professor XXXL. Not exactly the cream of the crop, but since he's a tech guy it seems like our one possible entryway into the 2x4 tech.

As far as memory goes, anyone else would need to be beaten into submission and not really worth it.

For most of these, working with loyalty would become a fine balancing art, since I'm not inclined to believe it would be in-character for Father to try and improve the relationship or change his ways more than the bare minimum. I'm also personally not inclined to stray from the path of evil.

... Huh. I remembered she was working a desk job somewhere so I assumed it was in adult co.

Well, let's try and snatch her up before he does. She's an incredible hero unit imo, decent to good diplomacy, insane martial and good learning. Hopefully since this starts pre canon cruel network she's still up for grabs after the divorce

Actually, probably not much of a debuff

Mandark, Mandy, Ed, the gems, really a bunch of kings could give two shits the age of the diplomats. Highly competent kids are a feature of the setting so I doubt it's too much of a stretch

Maybe we shouldn't beat up KnD agents then? To establish a new status quo with our relationship with them after Father's leave of absence. Beating up monsters could also help with communicating the message that Father has bigger fish to fry then tweens.

Toiletnator can be sent on making friends instead as well for max possible hero unit net, even if I don't have high hopes for him.

Really, the Character who would have the biggest debuff involving kid diplomats is... Father himself? So we don't have to worry too much since we get to control him.

Also, 10 probably has good intrigue and learning related to investigating things, every good reporter can muck in and investigate a case in fiction

Technically, Evil Coop is Coop if he just fully fell into the trap of being a combat crazed adreneline Junky, which is what CNVV Coop is. Presumably because Time Travel is a headache.

Ironically Father has a better time doping diplomacy with guys he's fought.

Holy shit 30c would probably be willing to work for Ice cream. Amazing.

I want to make father into a better father but also a better villain. His old schtick of adult vs kid supervillainy doesn't really have sustainability on it in cruel network, and ultimately the conflict was happening because, ironically, father was childishly obsessed with control over kids due to grandfather screwing him up mentally.

A father that is still a villain but has broken the cycle of intergenerational violence would be my ideal target for this quest.

Basically, it's time for father to finally grow the f*ck up
