And then the hilarious part is the effect of that song..................
Still not as much sheer WTF as EXEC_EP=NOVA/. though, the song you sing when you want to be Majin Buu
Outside boss battles, some of the best include:
EXEC_CHRONICLE=KEY/. for when you need to continually maintain the seal on a Sealed Evil in a Can.
METHOD_REPLEKIA/. for when you want to use the ridiculously OP limit break of "ramp up the power of a spell by an absurd degree by invoking the power of your fanclub and a Kill Sat".
EXEC_with.METHOD_METAFALICA/. for when you want to use Spirit Bomb style cooperation to create a self-sustaining floating continent.
Ra Ciel Fuser for when you want to convert the mass of an entire planet into pure energy in order to force open a gigantic wormhole.
I think we really might want to reconsider using Core Purge before running into Ichi. If she knows it exists, the chances it'll get nullified goes up to practically guaranteed.
Rereading our Glorious Bastard QM's infodump on attacks per turn, I came across this little tidbit. Combined with this:
I think we really might want to reconsider using Core Purge before running into Ichi. If she knows it exists, the chances it'll get nullified goes up to practically guaranteed.
Core Purge is in the category of "technically this can be negated, but negating it is easier said than done".
Only the initial activation can be negated, and that basically requires continually interrupting Nepgear so that she can't stand still for even a moment. Once its already been activated, it can't be canceled out by a Skilled ability.

........She doesn't have Eye of the Mind, does she? Eye of the Mind + Overwhelming Presence + Unlimited Blade Works is just plain unfair!
"Sega." Your sister perks up at her name. "The courtyard ahead is more than likely going to be open-air. So while the rest of us are clearing it, I want you to hang back a little and keep an eye on Silver Hero. Once we clear enough, take her back to the barricade, alright? Then feel free to make your way back to us."
"You can count on me, sis." As she quickly relieves Michael of his rather minor burden - Silver Hero is small - you address the rest of the group.
"Sam, does one of your buff spells pass along positive affinities?" He nods firmly and you grin maliciously. "Then buff everyone, and let's go!"
"Understood." And with that he places his hands together in the fashion of a prayer and begins to glow. "Empower."
(Empower Roll: 751)
"Shell."
(Shell Roll: 838)
"Inspire."
(Inspire Roll: N/A)
"Drive Boost."
"The Demon King."
(Demon King: 75 Damage, 39 Dice)
"The Promised Victory."
(Promised Victory Roll: 50 damage, 9 Dice)
And power washes over you all. Red Rose, Insight, and Brilliant Key all stare at him in surprise as his spells take effect. "That should be all of them. Ready when you are Solid Core." He, and the rest of Team GEAR who are already used to his magic, draw their blades and take positions near the opening to the courtyard. Those not so used to his magic: Aquila, Lucky, Brilliant Key, Red Rose, Insight, and Sega, all slowly move to join you for the attack. Though Aquila recovers faster than the rest of them.
"On the count of three." Your companions brace themselves.
"One." Michael and James lean against the edges of the entrance, pulling into sprinting positions much like Michael had done before with Silver Hero.
"Two." Aquila places her hand against your back, and when you look over you shoulder she nods to you.
"Three!" You break into a run as soon as the word is halfway through your lips. Your elf companion is immediately behind you as James ducks in after her with Michael hot on his heels. Samael almost trips over Gabriel as she bursts past him, slightly faster, with the rest of the team taking up the rear, though Sega holds back with Silver and follows at a much slower pace.
The courtyard itself, as you burst through its entrance, is a very wide-open space. Roughly a hundred and fifty meters separate you from the exit on the far side. That... and several hundred skeletons.
Wide open, and free of graves, you're more or less positive that the area had been used for ceremonies for burials of those interned here at the Necropolis. At one far end is an altar for such, while the whole thing was ringed by places where visitors could proffer offerings to the dead. Inside the massive space that once held those congregations and funerals, stood ranks of Skeletal Knights lead by Spawns of Chaos.
"Brace yourself, I need a lift!" And you do. Between one step and the next, you trigger your flying ability in order to stabilize yourself as you bend one knee slightly, and duck low. The instant you feel Aquila's foot touch your back, you push off in almost perfect synchronization. As if the two of you had been fighting together for years instead of barely three hours.
Riding the force, the elf is launched more than a dozen feet into the air with the motion. And as she ascends, she draws both her bow and seven arrows in a single motion. Then, as she's hanging over the assembled guardians as they begin to react to your entrance, she fires them all together.
The Super Heavy Assault Bow was pieced together by Alexandria's research team back on base specifically for Aquila's use. While the elf could learn how to use a sword or even a gun, the girl would have never been comfortable with such weapons, having been trained in the use of a bow for years. So when they made it, instead of trying to add little gimmicks or add-ons that she'd never have a need for, they instead decided to simply bulk up a regular bow to the point that the only reason she could use it was because of the strength enhancements that the Frost Dragon armor provided her.
Made from a flexible but durable material you didn't know the name for, the string tension was such that it was almost impossible to draw without some form of boost, or superior leverage to pull off. Using a design similar to compound bows, with wheels and levers, it was capable of firing off the metal arrows supplied to Aquila with enough force to punch through tank armor with an amazing amount of ease. And that was before the connection you had given her.

Any guardian unfortunate enough to be within the direct flight path of the arrows themselves simply vaporize as the force behind them shatters their bodies with contemptuous ease, then embeds them into the stone beneath before being enveloped by conflagrations similar to grenade blasts. An unfocused trail of energy follows your blade in a wave in a subconscious act to expand your swing radius. And the light shears through everything in its path. The last of the Spawn are slaughtered in the one attack, and the last of the Assault Knights finally manage to react to your and Aquila's appearance just in time for the rest of the Assault Team to descend upon them.
To call what follows a fight would be a joke in bad taste.

"Don't worry, Sega will catch up." She was reliable like that, though it might take her a bit depending on what was happening over at the barricade. You didn't worry too much, though. "Let's get a move on."
And so you do. Though, this time in a slightly different formation than the first. You're at the front of the pack like previously, but right behind you is Aquila, ready to shoot any skeletons that tried to rush the group. Behind her is Red Rose, followed by Insight, James, Samael, and Michael, in that order. Right behind them is Brilliant Key, with Gabriel taking up the back of the group, the both of them talking about… something, in hushed voices. Considering Brilliant Key keeps stealing glances past the group at you, you have a pretty good idea what the topic is.
"So… how strong have you become exactly?" Red Rose's question shakes you out of your thoughts, and draws a bit of attention from everyone. Though Gabriel and Brilliant both keep up their own conversation.
"Hm? What do you mean?" Ignoring the fact you already have a good idea of what she could mean.
"Last we talked, I could still lay you out flat with a single hit. Now, not even a month later, you're shrugging off blasts that would have me diving out of the way for. So call me curious, but how far ahead have you pulled?" You remain silent for a couple feet mulling over the question, and how to respond.
"I could answer that for her if she doesn't mind." Insight butts in. "Just note that I won't really hide anything. And I might spin off into a rant, because you are fucking bullshit." You take the chance to glance over your shoulder to peek at the Magical Girl, and are treated to the sight of James trying to cover a laugh and Red Rose looking at Insight with a raised brow.
"Umm… sure?" Part of you really didn't want to know what she had to say about your powers, but it was beat into submission by your curiosity.
"OK, to begin with, her defenses can be summed up as "your attack isn't bullshit enough to faze me". And I'm not paraphrasing or anything right there. It is literally at that point. I am personally positive that the only person in the entire Local Dimensional Cluster that's capable of killing her in a single hit is Goddess Gold herself. I shit you not! Not even you will be able to one-shot her!"
Insight sighs and begins to rub her face with both hands. "Her offensive abilities, while not as great as her defensive ones, are still fuck-off powerful. But even after all that, they both pale in comparison to her real specialty." You blink, and everyone else drops their conversations to look directly at her. "No… her real strength lies in how she can make everyone around her even stronger than they already are! Just walking next to her makes us ridiculously resistant to enemy attacks! Regular mortals? Like you guys? Your monstrous abilities aren't natural, not even close! But they've been boosted to outright comical levels by her! Seriously, you're all practically on the level of above average Magical Girls yourselves! Seriously, if I put even a third of this up on ToHO, then no one would believe me!
"She's a fucking flying fortress, while at the same time a font of outright implausible power! The fuck did you do to get so strong?"
"…Won the cosmic power lottery?"
A resounding smack of hand meeting face echoes down the maze of tunnels. What? It's not your fault! Gabriel giggles anyway.

(4 Combat Turns off screen: Solid Core Gains another 12,600 Health

You run across four more "patrols" before you manage to reach the next courtyard, and Sega still hasn't caught up for some reason, but you're not worried about it. Something tells you that she's perfectly fine. Beat that motherfucker with that motherfucker and watch the bones fly everywhere!
For some reason though, whenever you wonder how she's doing you get this feeling of amusement… Strange.
Your happy thoughts are cut off by the sudden sound of a violin echoing through the area.
"What's that?"
"Not sure. Let's keep moving."
More focused, you start to pick up a soft voice singing lyrics in a language you didn't recognize. In silence, the Assault Team moves forward, though no more Skeletons or Spawn appear.
The Second Courtyard, at the far end of the Necropolis from the barricade, is slightly smaller than the first. It lacks the stairs the first did, and is little more than a open area between one section of tunnels and the next. You are honestly confused as to the purpose this one served, for there is only a single significant feature within it: a small stone bench.
But upon that bench rest two of the girls that you had come to retrieve.
Former #6. Solar Radiance, the Unconquerable Sun.
And Former #7. Lunar Radiance, the Savage Moon.
A duo that had spent their entire Magical Girl careers with one another. It had been an open secret that they were in love, but refused to pursue any legal confirmation of such. Together, they had been considered the equal of any of the Old Guard, if not one of the Goddess Four.
"Hmm? Lily, we seem to have visitors." The pure silver violin that Lunar Radiance had been playing melts in her hands, and fuses with her arm, while Solar Radiance, who had been resting her head in Lunar's lap slowly sat up.
Beautiful.
The thought locks into your mind immediately when the two of them look towards you. Theirs was an unnatural beauty. The kind that you could only see in a CGI anime, or master artist. Completely blemish free, and symmetrical to literal perfection, you found them too beautiful to be attractive. Instead, they simply ignited a primal fear in you that refused to be doused.
"Welcome to our temporary abode… apologies that we can't be better hosts." Solar brushes off her skirts and smiles benevolently at your group. "But we have to fight, you know how it is."
Then they both speak as one.
"Heart of the Wild."
"Solar Excellency."
Lunar Radiance's change is the most obvious: Her body literally explodes. Between seconds soft, perfect skin is replaced by hard, unforgiving scale. Coiled muscles stretch to incredible length, as her neck and head splits into more than a dozen copies of itself…
It's massive. The body that slithers across the ground alone takes up almost more than half of the courtyard, while each head is large enough to swallow an average semi-truck whole without unhinging. The fangs are each as long as your arm and look sharp enough to puncture solid steel. Sixteen heads collectively gaze down upon you with malicious intent.
And standing atop the highest one is Solar Radiance, who befits her name.
The golden glow that she literally radiates is almost blinding. She stands as if an avatar of the Sun itself as the shining corona fills the yard.
"Well… now what?"
Solar Radiance raises a hand and points directly at your team, and your instincts scream at you. "DODGE!"
Everyone dives out of the way… though for once Gabriel is slightly too slow.

The light distorts slightly as it hits a shimmering veil of Light… but doesn't stop. Gabriel, mid-dive, squeezes her eyes shut and crosses her arms in front of her face. By the sound of her scream as the light hits, it does little to help.
Her momentum carries her out of the path of Solar's attack, and she lands heavily on her side. The gauntlets on her forearms are slightly melted from the exposure to the heat, and smoke -or steam- rises off her in waves.
"Gabriel, are you okay?" You grit your teeth, hoping that she was.
"I'm alright." Her eventual reply sends a jab of relief through you. "It just hurt really bad… third mission, only my second injury. I think this is some kind of record." You ignore the joke and turn back to Solar and Lunar, who had surprisingly waited for the exchange to pass. "See, what'd I tell you?!"
Solar smiles at you, "Shall we begin?"
Lunar's massive form hisses softly, and you ready the Panzer Blade. The Assault Team, scattered from their mass dodge, also pulls themselves to their feet.

Their undisputed position of being the Top 4 is undisputed for a reason. While Hero WEAPON has reached their level, she's still nowhere close to actually dethroning one of them.
... I'd complain but that is exactly the kind of no fuck you that a solar inspired MG would have. Also I think if we call anyone else bullshit the sheer hypocrisy would give cosmos cramps.
edit: also before they went all solar furnace of death and gargantuan mega death snake they were super cute.
I think we really might want to reconsider using Core Purge before running into Ichi. If she knows it exists, the chances it'll get nullified goes up to practically guaranteed.
If we take a few training actions with Sega, Uni, or Rev we might pick up a spell that replicates the attack method of Core Purge (Can't Dodge Light), Maybe. Sega experiencing the searching effect is likely to give her and Anastasia hints about the Proginator Frame, and potentially other things.
After a bit of math I recommend hitting the hydra snek with as many Celestial Severances as Solid Core can manage. Expected damage is nearly half a million (With Unstoppable no less) for a full round of attacks . Lunar Radiance has Survival as an Affinity, she can figure out how to survive the attacks -- if hydra problem, hard to kill, and shed skin don't do it for her.
(I swear to Comos if that ends with the hydra snek having 256 heads...)
EDIT: Can that thing destroy armor and then insta-kill with Erase?
Because I feel like Hyping Grey right now:
as far as I know, there are literally only three canon characters who can match her as far as Actions Per Turn. Two of whom only manage it by having unlimited free actions under certain circumstances.
I assumed that Unmatched Skill meant ridiculously quick reaction time. Using it from long range against something like Core Purge means initiating the interruption before the ability you're trying to interrupt begins being used.
Their undisputed position of being the Top 4 is undisputed for a reason. While Hero WEAPON has reached their level, she's still nowhere close to actually dethroning one of them.
Of course, but "I know what moves you're going to make before you make them" is rather bullshit even by the standards of "Purposely Overpowered", especially when combined with "I have absurd reaction time and can negate anything that I have time to react to"
That would imply that literally her only weakness is that (to our knowledge) she can't negate spells.
If we take a few training actions with Sega, Uni, or Rev we might pick up a spell that replicates the attack method of Core Purge (Can't Dodge Light), Maybe.
