581 Total EXP Remaining

(Prime Evil Slayer is the stronger version of Evilslayer. If an opponent has Evil, and another negative Affinity they take 700% extra damage.)

so does the slayer ability interact with the times 500 against armies in an additive or multiplicative way? cause one makes it better on a tactical scale, the other lets it hit demonic armies like a nuke.

It works off Base Damage, and is applied before the quad-cast and target: army abilities. Combined with Rain of Light, you basically multiply the Base Damage by 18, then 4 for Quad-Cast, then 500 if against 150+ enemies.

Mind, fairly few enemies have that particular combo of Affinities...
What's the range for CS again? We need to throw Nepgear to orbit and have her do an orbstrike impression if possible.
50 metres. Can't be altered.

@crystalwatcher
The level up message says that both spells have Prime Evil Slayer, but on our character sheet, Celestial Severance is instead labeled with regular Evilslayer.

Celestial Severance is a melee attack. Think of it like having a gigantic lightsaber blade come out of the end of our weapon.
Aww. :(
No Orbital Nepgear. :(
We'll get more spells soon, including a planet buster!

Also, level 19 Celestial Severance (4 more levels) will have higher Base Damage than Goddess Gold's level 20 Oblivion Awaits :o

Yeah, uh...I was looking at the numbers myself and we're definitely starting to encroach on the territory of the Goddesses in terms of sheer destructive power.

Honestly with that alone I'd call this last battle with Seventh Heaven a catastrophic loss for the UD thanks to the gigantic boost in power from the EXP gain. Nepgear's just been getting exponentially stronger now that she's entering big-league battles like this one. Mind you, it was barely three weeks ago that she was barely able to scratch anything, and now she's entered Walking WMD territory and is capable of massively empowering her team for good measure.

It's just...@crystalwatcher, I have to ask, what's the average EXP growth over time for normal magical girls? I feel like in comparison to everyone else...well...that there is no comparison to anyone else at this point.

Defensively, Nepgear's already Top 10 level with Lv 16 ICore and Segarite Core. Her offense is weaker but still top tier. Her main weakness seems to be that while her support abilities are bullshit, her personal abilities are a lot less so, lacking stuff like overwhelming presence.

My thought on EXP gain are as follows:

Basal EXP per day: 1-3. Everybody (only for really boring days.)
EXP from training MG powers: 5-10. Everybody
EXP per kill: Varies. Story and up (They get event EXP for "facing the legions of Hell" or some-such instead.)
EXP for plot events: Grows as involvement increases. Everybody, but higher Affinities grow much faster
EXP for defeating antagonist: 50-500. Depends on who it is and how hard they hit
EXP from funky dreams: 0-50. Epic and up
EXP for major accomplishments: Lots, whatever you consider lots to be. Everybody.
Meeting New Magical Girls: 5-250. :V Probably everybody, but possibly just Divinity (Goddess Grey and Red gave 250 EXP, Goddess White gave 5. Clearly it's inversely dependent on how nice they are. Since the Maidens of the apocalypse also gave 5 EXP they must be very kind.)

Optimal growth rate would thus be to first train and introduce yourself for a bit, then tag along with more powerful people to do important things. I wonder how many novices Red Rose has taught how to be a Magical Girl by now, and how many of them are still around.

this is a good thing, it means even when the damage is at the level where it should start killing planets it will be safe to use. Long term I suspect it might end up as the only really safe attack we have.
Uhh, Celestial Severance is definitely not a safe attack.

In the foreseeable future, if we need a "don't accidentally things" single target attack, Starshine is our best bet.

I'm sure there's a spell somewhere that can have an ability that does "cannot damage anything except the intended target".

Failing that, we can always just strap a regular gun to our hip and magically enhance it. Sega has a second sword, so we know its possible!

Pretty sure that's just her MG sword filtered through Thin Grey Line.
