Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

So right now, the people who can ignore the Godlike Strength ability of the Demon King with their regular attacks are: James, Michael, Samael, Gabriel, and Aquila (all of whom are also immune to Sixth Heaven's strongest Spell).

It can also be ignored by Lucky with War Book: METEOR and Judgement Core with End Game.

Solid Core can bypass it with both regular attacks and with Celestial Severance.
It does not, thanks to Detonate.
The question of whether or not the fireballs are negated was more a question of whether they count as ranged attacks or as Spells (as the armor's description is written, immunity to elemental Spells isn't subject to that Detonate caveat).
New plan. It's technically not an attack if Judgment Drive does a supersonic Ramming Speed right at-

Fucking fuck, she can't fly. Nevermind.

:p
She can still perform a ramming attack by teleporting above Sixth Heaven and then making gravity be her ally.

Road to Peace
-I'll be worthy of this name. Just watch... Gabriel gains a stacking 10% damage increase for every foe she slays during combat. This stack vanishes after combat ceases.
So if we assume the 12 Hell Beasts Gabriel felled count for this then we get:
Additive Bonus:
Base Damage = 12,000 + 12* 1,200 = 26,400

Multiplicative Bonus:
Base Damage = 12,000 * 1.1^12 = (Rounding Included) 37,656

Not that it really matters since her attack would get Intercepted and no-sold.

....brainwave! Lucky! Her base damage is tiny but her Magic Modifier is massive and uses [Highest of 2d30,000].

(Type (F-7) Rune Blade: 1,000 Base Damage, +15,485 Dice, +500 Hostile Divinity Effect = 16,985 Total Damage

Intercept!

Demon King: 2,500 Base Damage, No Dice, +750 Overwhelm, +300 Legendary Existence, x5 Divine Existence = 17,750 Total Damage

765 Difference, Demon King wins.)

Okay so that particular example didn't go so well. However if she rolls above 16,250 she'll be able to damage the Demon King/Sixth Heaven. Running the numbers she has an approximately 70% of doing so. What's more the odds of her actually being damaged by the counter attack are pretty low. I'll run the numbers shortly to check but she'd have to do terrible on two sets of [Highest of 2d30,000] to take damage.

Edit: Damn. Forgot about Godlike Strength.

Won't she be a Lesser God when she does that? Whatever that means.

Probably good?

Lets see if I got everything.

@crystalwatcher - I think you made a mistake here. Nepgear in on the right side and Judgement Drive is on the left side. Solid Drive is the one on the right side:
I fucked up.

@crystalwatcher - Can we hit two separate targets with Celestial Severance since it's a Double-Cast? It's not something we'd generally want to do but I could see some use form that.
Yes, but it'd take practice: Something Gabriel has been doing functionally nothing but in her spare time.

@crystalwatcher - I'm curious; why does Judgement have the Armor Pierce ability when it doesn't seem to do anything?
I keep forgetting it's there at all.

Wait. @crystalwatcher I think you made a mistake. This:
Oops...

Amusing how we seem to swing between concerned voices shouting Anastasia and Nepgear. Also I'm kinda surprised Nepgear was stunned so seriously. Nepgear is immune to body damage modifiers, so it can't be because she's hurt, and mental effects so what exactly is stunning Nepgear?
She's a bit out of it because someone just used her face to dig a thirty meter trench.

Sega has a healing spell. Is there a reason she isn't using it?
She used it. Nep's still out of it though.

It's why it's seven turns instead of something like 20.

Gabriel killed a grand total of zero dudes these turns, so Road to Peace is worthless here.
Actually, the Hell Beasts she killed count. So her Road to Peace is currently at 12 stacks.

It just didn't proc during her combat turn because they were still falling when she was pwning the rest.

How do you figure this? Would it not just toss free intercepty fireballs at them?

Because it's primarily a melee weapon, from what I'm gathering. Thigh I suppose it couldn't hurt to check...

@crystalwatcher, can Sixth Heaven and/or her Demon King Intercept with Fireballs?
She can intercept with fireballs. But note: Due to the size of the Demon King, everyone on and including Messenger 1 is within her melee range.

If we talk one of our friends into committing suicide, will that activate Gehaburn and thereby snap us out of our cutscene-induced helplessness?

They would probably have to seppuku with Purifier Beam.
This is very creative.

Fucked up. But creative.

We also need to know if the immunity to elemental spells offered by the Frost Dragon Armor applies to the fireballs.
The Fireballs count as having the Fire Affinity, so yes the FDA blocks them. The several hundred tons of bone should 6th decide to slap a bitch? Not so much.

Damnit! How the hell did she get so overpowered?! She's a fucking Legend-tier, not an Epic or Divinty!

By being one of the first MG's, good natural talent and formerly being the Unified Darkness's go-to gal.

Red Rose is also Legend tier, and she's the current 10th strongest. And yes, she's stronger the Sixth Heaven.
Sixth Heaven is from the early days of Magical Girls. The Very Early Days. As in, she was a MG before the Goddesses awoke.

During her time, she was #3 when Red Rose was #2. She was #7 when Red Rose was #6.

Sixth Heaven is from the Old Guard, way back when Hope and it's Fortress-Capital was considered an unassailable bastion of Light, and the original Gabriel was still kicking ass and taking names. In her time, she wasn't the biggest, or the baddest, but that was because she had been compared to Red Rose and White Soul. The two oldest Magical Girls to ever live.

Once upon a time, her name was whispered with the same awed fear that Goddess Red's name is now. But even though she's been nocked down the rankings, doesn't mean she's not weak.

I've already told people how to activate it from the Core end of things...

Fuck it. @crystalwatcher, think we should just tell them how to activate it?
I think I got it: Drive Synchronization. The unknown Ability in Sega's sheet. One of them is how to activate the Progenitor Frame from their end, right?

...

WARNING!
The Progenitor Frame sleeps,
to awaken the Drives must ignite the Engine.

Are there any Myths in the top twenty?
There's a Story. What does that tell you?

Ok...Ok. We know that this encounter is a good place to find out about Progenitor Frame. We've gotten WOG that activating it from the Core end requires one of the Cores to activate Core Purge with one of the Drives nearby. Of the Cores, the only one with Core Purge is currently knocked the fuck out. What we don't know is how to activate Progenitor Frame from the Drive end.

Now. SD and JD both have one final Ability that has yet to be revealed. Therefore: can we get, at the absolute least, get an explanation as to what those unknown Abilities do?
So, all three Drives need to be there?

Knowing what I do about [ REDACTED ] , I think that's...

Uh.

That's actually too overkill.

In my own boat, Progentior Frame " [ REDACTED ] " , is just too overpowered for anything less than the Final Boss.

On the plus side, as long as there's at least one Drive and Core active, it'll always be possible to bring out, just that you need all three of the former and both of the latter to hit maximum effect. Of course, the enemy will now have every reason to want to break this formation up, at all costs.

Then again, this enemy is OP as well. I'm just not sure if using a tactical nuclear strike to kill a bear is an effective use of munitions.

The question now is, does it increase her Base Damage, or is it a bonus that's applied during damage calculation (which would make it ignore Overwhelm's damage increase)?
It stacks as a bonus.

You do know you can willingly lose the fight to uncover additional information about the combatants and find out other things I've hidden during the fight, right?

The only problem is that you risk a copy of Gehaburn going to a bad cause.

So, all three Drives need to be there?
No, just one.

... I don't want to know what lead to this.

There's no kill like Overkill.

@crystalwatcher - I think I might have found another error in this scene:
"What are you doing, in my sky?"

It's only as she speaks that you realize how close she is; Just on the other side of the forward Messenger. And as you watch, she takes her hand off the top of her katana and draws it back.

You blink. She swings. And you try to bring the Panzer Blade around out of sheer desperate instinct-

(Panzer Blade: 5,743 Base Resilience, +390 Dice, +500 Hostile Divinity Effect = 6,633 Total Damage

Intercept!

Demon King: 2,500 Base Damage, No Dice, +4,308 Overwhelm, +300 Legendary Existence, x5 Divine Existence = 35,540 Total Damage

28,907 Difference, Demon King wins.

Demon King: 28,907 Intercept Damage, No Dice, +300 Legendary Power, x5 Existence Bonus = 146,035 Total Damage
Solid Core: 1100 Base resilience, +390 dice, -825 Juggernaut, +500 Divine Existence = 1,165 Damage Reduction

143,705 Total End Damage

Indestructible Core: 99% Reduction
No Longer Human: 50% Reduction

719 Final End Damage

Solid Core: 3,000 - 719 = 2,281 Health Remaining)

And a massive skeletal backhand swats you from the sky like you're nothing.

You shoot through the sky, clipping the edge of the forward Messenger with enough force to make it rock.

So Nepgear is still in the air at moment she's attacked. Which means Supremacy Zone should be active. Now either the Demon King is on the ground, which this:
The cessation of Hostilities is as sudden as Nepgear's incapacitation. But it doesn't mean much to the titanic skeletal thing that now towers over the Messengers and blocks the road.

The six-armed skeletal beast leans on the front Messenger, propping itself up with it's lowest two arms.
suggests it is, and therefore Nepgear should be immune to it's attack, it doesn't have any of the abilities:
EDIT: On the topic of things that can bypass Supremacy Zone's defenses against ground-based targets, longer list than Indestructible Core's:
  • Supremacy
  • Auto Kill
  • Kill By Modifier
  • Detonate and it's derivatives. (Anti-air flak more or less.)
  • Anti-Air
  • Total Devastation
listed as bypassing that, or it's in the air in which case Nepgear should have a +50% damage bonus.

If at least one Messenger is still battle-worthy and Team GEAR is still alive, then it's not too overkill for this bitch. She can hit the Messengers and the people on the with a melee attack, she can toss out fireballs on a whim, and her final Ability is so OP it would catapult any competent fighter to the top 50's. We're using the Progenitor Frame.

Nothing. She'll wake up when she wakes up.

I think crystal wants you to use it and find out.
Ok, irritating, but I can live with it.

Alright, then imma use it.

You do know you can willingly lose the fight to uncover additional information about the combatants and find out other things I've hidden during the fight, right?

The only problem is that you risk a copy of Gehaburn going to a bad cause.
I know, I just hate throwing fights.

Standby for incoming updated plan.
