I will say I was surprised it took so long for someone, Gore, to point out Starshine does 11x 737 not 10x. Also I think Celestial Severance needs some love. As it currently stands Starshine deals more damage (737x11x4 = 32,428) which is just wrong.

That said the tagline fits it so well:
-Watch the sky fall.

Oh and it's worth noting that Nepgear is now about as damaging to armies as nuclear weapons. Starshine does 16,214,000 vs Fragarach's 15,000,000 although it lacks Fragarach's Obliterate and Unstoppable abilities.

It was obvious that the Human members of Team GEAR were getting used to their Frost Dragons, and were starting to enjoy them. Gabriel leaps into the air as the Skybound leaves the empty deck of the forward Messenger.

"If anything stronger than the Soul Reavers show up to try and attack the Messengers during the confusion, I want Judgement Core, James, Michael, and Lucky to focus fire on them. Link 2-1, you're on crowd control. If any get within spiting distance, I want you to mulch them. Gabriel, if you see a Hell beast, bring it down."

The soldiers were scrambling now, "Solid Drive, Judgement Dive, you two need to find those Summoners. Report back anything you find, but we need those Summoners brought down, otherwise we'll eventually get swamped and this is going to amount to nothing. I'm going to focus fire on the Right Side initially, hopefully my Starshine won't be completely useless with the way they're spread out. Especially since they'll have to bunch up to hit the Messengers. Once the Right is empty, we'll be able to bring everything to bear on the Left. So pick your targets and kill as many as you can."

And hopefully that's enough to cover any problems that crop up because as soon as you finish speaking the tide of Reavers break into a charge!

Your power floods forth, and the sky is lit up like the crack of dawn. You feel your stamina plummet as you throw out more power than you ever have before, but it's more than enough for your purposes.

The Soul Reavers die en masse. From eight hundred, their numbers dwindle to a shadow of the former horde. Five hundred, to three hundred, and then not even a full two hundred grace the field.

"Holy shit."

You are not the one who says it, you're not even thinking it. Eyes aglow with your inner light, you are instead focused upon the field, and what your bombardment revealed. The two summoners are partially hidden behind an outcropping of rock, their dark cloaks allowing them to fade into the background. But bathed in your light, and revealed by the arcs of their summoning, they can no longer hide. And Judgement is swift.

She swings only once, but almost half a dozen slashes suddenly fill the same space as the two Summoners. Nothing survives: The rock they had been behind disintegrates, as the ground around them erupts into the air. And through it all, the two summoners are pretty much obliterated.

"Found the Hell Beasts!" Your sister cuts off her girlfriend with a yelp. "Gabriel, they're coming right for you! Judgement Core, they're aiming for you!"

You spin in place, just in time to watch the flying demons descend from the cloud cover in steep dives. "That's a lot of Hell Beasts..." Almost forty of the creatures come down like a badly positioned group of parachuters that had clumped together after jumping out of their plane. And for a moment, you almost break out into laughter.

Then Gabriel rises to meet them.

The Angel is young. You remember the feeling of warmth as she told you of the children you had saved, just as they wished her into being. The image of you wiping out an entire platoon of demons with a single spell had been the first thing she had ever remembered, leading to a healthy fear of Magical Girls. But in the last week you've known her, she had taken up the blade those children had granted her with a will.

War Angels were born battle ready. But under normal circumstances, it took the time to reach their full potential, and even then there tended to be a ceiling that they'd almost always reach. Gabriel took those limitations and tossed them aside. She accepted the Core Connection, even through the embarrassment, and acknowledged that her destiny was to follow a road similar to her predecessor, and become Legend. And she does not disappoint.

She swings her sword with enough force that it causes the air to ripple, and the blade to blur to your eyes. The resounding crack and the trail of condensation that follows her path tells a story of how much force is behind her attack. The sundered wings from the two leading Hell Beasts provides the picture in fountains of demonic blood. Suddenly flightless, they drop from the sky, and into a spiral of death towards the ground. But the Angel doesn't stop there.

The blade blurs again and, with a second crack, two more Hell beasts are suddenly wingless, doom to plummet to their deaths. Barely even two seconds in, she had felled four of the creatures in half the strikes. Again, the blade blurs, again it breaks the sound barrier, and again, two more Hell Beasts loose their wings.

"Judgement!"

Gabriel's voice is musical, even amongst the screams of the Demons as they fall past her. The blade of the War Angels of Heaven lights up like a star in her hand, and this time her swings leave after-images in your eyes.

Three more blows, and six more demons fall from the sky. But this time, instead of just losing their wings, entire sections of their flanks and whole limbs are blasted from their bodies. Blood runs like water, and twelve demons fall to their deaths by the hands of an Angel.

It was acts like these that entire faiths were made from.

But even with all of her Heaven-Blessed might, there is simply too many demons descending from the sky for one person to stop them all. "You line them up, and I'll knock them down!" So it's a good thing that Gabriel's not alone, isn't it?

Judgement Core raises the maw of destruction to the sky, and lets it roar her defiance!

The flock of demons fly straight into the waiting arms of Death, and the world seems to tremble beneath Judgement Core's fury. The beams from the Judge Cannon fill the air like the lights from a disco ball, and where they pass demonic flesh vaporizes.

A single beam blows clean through the head of the forward-most Hell Beast just to carry on into the beast behind it, and their momentum causes the shot to eviscerate both of them. Another beam cleaves an unlucky demon in half lengthwise, while a third one spears five more demons through their torsos. In moments, there is nothing but pieces raining to the ground around you.

And ironically, as you had watched Judgement Core plaster the Hell Beasts like bugs on a windshield, the two Security Teams that were covering the Right Side slaughtered the last of the Soul Reavers that had survived your Starshines.

Turns out Michael, James, and Samael all decided it was a good idea to leap off the Messengers and meet the oncoming Soul Reaver rush head on. Though the idiots had stopped the charge cold dozens of feet from the Transports, the three of them were almost up to their eyeballs in demons. And the soldiers still on the transports had decided to simply fire into the mass melee they were causing with abandon.

They just had to decide they wanted to reenact some stupid-ass movie or get into a dick waving contest or something you had no idea what. If anything it proved that the power from the armor and your Core Connection probably went to their heads.

On the far side of the fighting, you could see the twin stars that represent your sister and her girlfriend as they flit around in a search pattern for the Summoners. The massive swath of glassed land from your Starshine spells is slowly being left behind as the Messengers crawl ever forward. A girl in a rather nice hat is standing in the air down the road. And Gabriel is swinging around through the air to land on the lead Messenger.

Wait. What?

You spin in place, and frantically search for the girl... but it only takes you a moment to find her.


She is literally standing in the air, roughly forty feet off the ground, hands placed on the butt of her katana as if it were a cane, for all intents and purposes looking as if she were standing upon a solid platform instead of thin air. And as if acknowledging her existence triggers it, you feel the magic holding you in the air suddenly stop.

It takes a moment, for gravity to assert itself. But by the time you start falling, it is far too late. The girl notices you, and frowns.

"What are you doing, in my sky?"

It's only as she speaks that you realize how close she is; Just on the other side of the forward Messenger. And as you watch, she takes her hand off the top of her katana and draws it back.

You come to a stop thirty meters away, face down in the dirt and resting in a trench carved out by your face. Gravity asserts itself and your legs drop with a thud.

Seven voices shout your name simultaneously. Worry and rage echoing across the radio.

The cessation of Hostilities is as sudden as Nepgear's incapacitation. But it doesn't mean much to the titanic skeletal thing that now towers over the Messengers and blocks the road.


The six-armed skeletal beast leans on the front Messenger, propping itself up with it's lowest two arms. And safely encased within it's ribcage stands the Dark Magical Girl, her hand returned to the handle of her sword. "I think it's about time that this farce came to an end, don't you? We've all had enough fun for one day, and I wish to return to my Lady before the rain sets in."

"You!" Attention reluctantly drags itself from the massive skeleton and its mistress at Solid Drive's shout. "We killed you! How are you alive?!" Sega kneels beside the unconscious Anastasia, having drawn her sister into an embrace. "I saw Juggernaut tear you in half!"

The girl laughs, though it is a cruel thing. She grabs the bottom of her shirt, and draws it up: revealing the red seal that rests just below her breasts, "The Lady Red deemed me worthy of resurrection! My followers took very good care of what was left of my corpse, dear Solid Drive. And don't pretend that I've forgotten either you or the sweet Judgement Drive." Rev snarls in anger at the Dark Girl's acknowledgement.

James, Sam, and Michael cut in, moving to stand in between the Drives and their old enemy. "This is all well and good, but would someone be willing to tell us who exactly this bitch is? Because, I'm sad to say that I have no idea who we're talking to here."

The smirk upon the girl's face turns even more cruel. "Oh? Has it been that long, to be forgotten by the rabble?"

The skeleton shifts, its bony hands flexing against the Messenger it holds in place, and the sound of twisting metal fills the air.

"I am the former Number Seven. Now rejoice you foolish mortals, for this one's Mistress has deemed that you shall all die by the hands of Magical Girl Sixth Heaven!"​

The skeleton's jaws open wide, and it roars, just as the human members of Team GEAR realize who exactly they were fighting.

"Oh... so that's the other shoe..."

Her laughter fills the air with despair.

The Demon King decided to personally show up.

Oh, and she has a power that ensures that they're capable of instagibbing anyone on the field who isn't Solid Core--and bumped off a sizable fraction of our health even in spite of this.

And let's also not forget how they have an applicability trump on flight that counters even our own Divinity affinity based flight, which nullifies our advantages for being in the air. And that's what lets us run quickly, so we can't even run away.

And Sixth Heaven is only Legend affinity?

Yeah, we don't even have the option of running away, We can't move for 7 turns, Sixth Heaven hard counters all of our high speed movement options with her bullshit "Nobody else gets to fly when I'm on the field" power that somehow wins despite a four tier affinity disadvantage, and even if we could move, everyone has an applicability-trumping action negation so they can only use one action per turn.

Oh, and anyone who tries to attack Sixth Heaven is automatically boosted by 75% of the force of the attack and intercepted (That Intercept also gets it's base damage amplified by 125% mind you).

Like, how is this woman "Only" number seven? It looks like she hard counters everyone in the setting.

Like, I have a hard time recognizing how even Rei could beat her.

Legend my foot, she's Epic at least or those tier scalings are fake. Especially since she also largely ignores Hostile (X) effect by hitting even harder to counter it and then soe.
