Well sure. I never said Magical Girl Expies, just Expies in general. Rin, Medea, and Ilya can just be regular human mages while the Vamps are.....part of the Star's of Evil, (I think they are called?), faction. I just throwing some names out to see if anyone wanted to bite.

Edit: Or Elves or Angels. Medusa was a mortal goddess before she became the Gorgon in Nasu-history, so her being a angel would be pretty appropriate.

I vote to buy IFrame to lv10 once we get the XP.

That would cost:
50 + 60 + 70 + 80 + 90 = 350xp

Assuming no 5th/10th Level bonuses, pretty sure there are no 5th Level bonuses since we're already at Level 5 with no bonuses but there could be 10th Level bonuses, then that would bump us up to:

Health = 1,000 + Level * 200 = 1,000 + 10 * 200 = 3,000
Base Resilience = 100 + Level * 100 = 100 + 10 * 100 = 1,100

Which is rather nice but maybe not worth the xp anytime soon considering how bullshit Nepgear's durability has just gotten.

Incidentally because of ICore's 99% threshold Nepgear's No-Sell threshold grows with ICore's Level, and only ICore's level right now, as per the following:

No-Sell = 1,090 + Level * 298
No-Sell = 0.99 * Health + Base Resilience
No-Sell = 0.99 * (1,000 + Level * 200) + (100 + Level * 100)
No-Sell = 990 + Level * 198 + 100 + Level * 100
No-Sell = 990 + 100 + Level * 198 + Level * 100
No-Sell = 990 + 100 + Level(198 + 100)
No-Sell = 1,090 + Level(298)
No-Sell = 1,090 + Level * 298

Which would put our ICore Level 10 No-Sell threshold at 4,070 compare to it's current 2,580.


The thing about Solid Core, based on what I can see, is that rather than being a front line fighter, she seems to be someone who buffs her allies.

She can't hit for shit at the levels she tends to fight at, but thanks to her skills she can tank most such hits with some difficulty and enhance her allies to the point of actually being a threat, despite normally being considered cannon fodder.

Except as people have pointed out previously that's only because we haven't invested much XP into damage. Mostly because Team GEAR is great at dealing massive damage and Nepgear's greatest weakness has been her ability to survive rather then her ability to contribute. Now that we can actually survive fights it's a whole 'nother ball game.

Purifier Beam requires 500xp to reach Level 15 at which point it should look like:

Which while not quite in Goddess Gold's range is definitely higher then Red Rose's (10,000/turn) and around the same tier as Maiden of the East's (20,000/turn).

and while again 51,200 damage, which ignores all resistances thanks to Unstoppable, doesn't quite compare to well any of the Top 10's spells that we know of is powerful enough to be of value at that tier. Especially if it does get a Divinity Affinity.

Starshine is honestly awesome as it currently stands. Currently it deals 3,372 damage to anything it hits, making it our strongest attack bar Core Purge, and if I'm interpreting it's "Target: Army" ability right means we can just point it at "The enemy army" and hit everything/one within the entire enemy army.

While the damage isn't enough to deal with any of the high level opponents it's enough to OHKO anything weaker then a Hell Beast, so things like Hell's Foot Soldiers or Hell's Ground Commanders, and considering most an any army is going to made of that sort of enemy...

Well Starshine is the Anti-Army Spell.

Nepgear is Hardcore now.
Also, I suspect surviving Core Breach relates to No Longer Human. She'd probably lose her body and just leave a glowing core to regenerate from.

That wouldn't surprise me. In Rei's nightmare we see:
Anastasia lies on the ground in two separate locations. Her blood leaks slowly, dyeing the black glass she rests on red. A small orb of light shines weakly halfway between the two halves of her body, and as you watch bits and pieces of her break off into light to be drawn in by the tiny little orb.
The last of her body breaks away from you, and you limply reach after it, your soul breaking to pieces as you watch. You stare as the light darkens even more, before the orb slowly changes shape.

It elongates and bends, hard angles, and a cruel edge forming from the remains of a kind heart.
so it could be that instead of dying to form Gehaburn Nepgear remains a orb of light that can, over some unknown period of time, reform a Core and Core Frame (IE: body) and thus resurrect Nepgear.

After all it's not like automatically resurrecting Magical Girls would be new for this setting with the Maidens and WEAPONs.
 
Ah don't forget increasing HP increases our AoE Nuke Power.

Which still has some secret we don't know about.

It actually is a big deal. Both the Maidens and WEAPONs are ressurected due to their deals with Divine Beings, while other people are resurrected independently by Goddess Red. As far as we know Solid Core is not backed by a higher power, so she would be the first self-resurrecting MG I think, which IS pretty significant.

This doesn't work because Gaia is the only planet defined as an entire celestial body, instead of the entire ecosystem on its surface.

Just realized that there was what was bugging me about that Venus one too.
 
Looking through the char sheets for MG, it seems that MG usually seem to be more spec'd for offensive then defense. Spells are usually capable of one shotting MG of a similar tier, and its only really at the highest ranks that we see defensive capabilities that allow for survival. It does explain the low survivabiliy rate thought.
 
Well, MG powers are influenced by their beliefs and willpower.

So for most, believing "they can survive powerful attacks", and backing that up with their willpower to the point they can let themselves be hit, is probably harder then "If I kill the enemy first, then I won't be hurt". Which would have roots in the fact people generally need protection to not get hurt, and not helped by said survival rate.

Indestructible Core is probably Ana recognizing that she keeps on surviving horrible situations, and determination to not be the weak link.

She bears a supernatural clairvoyance telling her if she is working with someone who is working with/for the Unified Darkness, even those unknowingly doing so. Furthermore all attacks and spells gain the Judgement trait when fighting anything Demonic. (Note: There are certain exceptions although this is not known yet *Looks at Darkened Crystal*)

Sacrifice:
Sacrifice XX% of maximum health, increase the attack of any spell tagged with this ability by XX% * 2. (Sacrifice 20% of health, attack increases by 40%)

Super-Human Combat:
Sacrifice 3 actions to cancel 1 enemy action.

Okay, kind of burned out towards the end. Eve's abilities are... eh, while Aisha's are positively anemic. All of them are supposed to have spells they previously had, but lost like Elisa does, but... it was tedious, so just pretend they're there.

That's my point, though: there isn't anything on the surface of Venus or Mercury.

I could see them developing a loli proto-being from the basic bacterial ecosystem human probes would bring to them, like on The Moon and Mars, though.

Gaia's little sisters. She can't stop teasing them~

don't worry by the time Ort makes it to earth the war will have been over for an entire day. My with that timing It's almost as if Ort is the secret boss that shows up when you beat the final boss isn't it. :V

This doesn't work because Gaia is the only planet defined as an entire celestial body, instead of the entire ecosystem on its surface.

Just realized that there was what was bugging me about that Venus one too.

Ort is an abomination that basically "eats" planets to grow. Ort's actually body is it's territory and once it fully covers a planets surface it rapidly corrupts the planet's innards in a matter of minutes. It's not a true celestial body but it's as big as one.
