Changing Destiny (Kancolle)

Where did I belittle people about them having feels? I didn't say that they are emo's or anything.

Not outright, but in the context. "oh the feels!! stuff" "it's war, what do you expect" "if you don't like grimderp just don't read war stories. Simple" If one reads the words by definition only, it is innocent; but people do not read things purely by definition. It is incredibly easy to read that you view the people who are sorrowful over this are foolish for not expecting it - as though it was unexpected instead of dreaded - for feeling sorrow - upholding your lack of reaction as though it is somehow the superior reaction - or for being here to begin with considering the sorrow of it. So easy, in fact, that I can only conclude that you either intended it, allowed something you intended to keep out of your post to leak in accidentally, or simply posses neither a bone of sympathy in your body nor an ounce of ability to read context in your pantry.

Considering I gave you an actual definition of "grimderp" to work with:

Something that is "grimderp" is dark and depressing unendingly and without reason, to the point of becoming parody.

I vehemently disagree with your interpretation. Words do not take on new meanings or become positive where they were once negative simply because you feel that they have been overused or misused elsewhere.

I said what happened to the girl was sad but not an OH MY GOD thing for me and was simply agreeing with someone who felt the same. Except he doesn't seem to feel anything at all about the scene.

*shrug*

I was just stating how I felt.

Its a meaningless word that is simple used for anything and everyhing, Its a piss of shit word, nothing more.

I honestly have seen people claim that Imperium merchant ships supposedly containing manure for agricultural worlds is grimderp. As I have seen people see tension in stories as grimderp just as them claiming shit authors foreshadowed many issues ago as something the author created just now so as to increase suffering.

I hold people who use said words seriously in contempt.

Can you two either cool your tempers or take the diction fight somewhere else please? We don't need the mods coming back again.

So how will ship girls react if, if, Cassin and Downes gets hit just as bad as they did during Pearl Harbor OTL, where after the fact, the USN scrapped the hulls, but saved the machinery from the destroyers, shipped it back to the states and built new destroyers around the machinery and gave the new ships the exact same name and hull rate number.

More to that matter, would the spirit of said ships remain the same or would they be completely different?

That's a miracle of modern medical (and nautical) technology, mate. Or a modern Prometheus, I guess, but I tend toward more favorable/happy interpretations where possible. I'd put it on roughly similar tier as giving a badly burned patient a nearly-complete skin graft, in terms of "is it the same person or not?"/"is it an abomination of science?"

So basically the Lazarus project from Mass Effect?

What is that? I don't play Mass Effect.
Shepard, after saving the Galaxy from the Reapers (for the time being) is killed in action while on patrol when the Normandy is ambushed by agents of the Reapers- the Collectors. A group called Cerberus finds the good Commander's body and uses !!SCIENCE!! to bring it back to life (or was it creating a clone? Hell if I remember). The project to do so was subsiquently named "Lazarus" after the old tale from the New Testament where Jesus brought one of his friends back to life.

I think it'd be like CV-6 and CVN-65 or Lex and Hornet Essex class. Ie, successors not replacements.

Also: OTL Ari was stripped of her guns for batteries around HI, then her upperworks were removed for the Memorial. Hopefully that won't be necessary now.

Creaks and groans echoed from the imposing metal as, boilers and turbines were strained beyond their limits.
as boilers and
"Put your backs into it!"]
Remove the ]
The short hisses of the steam echoed painfully...joined by the screams of scaled men.

Poor Italian engineer, to lose a ship he cared for twice in a decade. And have a small moment talking to its spirit, to boot.

Poor Lombardi. After a couple of years or decades he will have to worry about the two Turbine shipgirls appearing and tackle hugging him in recognition.

And like any old man he will reply with the typical line from any old geezer.

Lombardi: *Crack!* OOOOhhhh~! My Back!

No no no. After the war Lombardi is going to be pursued a younger woman who single-minded in her pursuit. She succeeds in her attempts and the first child looks very familiar to Lombardi.
(I go with the concept that different ships with the same name are family, like mother daughter.)

*Tilts head* but aren't destroyers, lolis?

A lot of them? The Duckies look almost like they're in their late teens to early adulthood. Most of the Kai Ni Shiratsuyu-class look like young adults.

That said, I would totally use, say, a Fubuki, Mutsuki, or Akatsuki as a teddy. They're so cute and cuddleable!

I'll rather cuddle with Hibiki. Less movement and she acts like a cat.

Hibiki is a Akatsuki. Or a Fubuki, depending on how you separate the classes (Some people call the Akatsuki sisters a subclass of the Fubuki-class).

More on-topic(ish), what do you have against nanodesu-chan?

Akatsuki would try to squirm too much and complain. Ikazuchi would squirm but not complain. Inazuma looked alot like my mom (or a mom [just look at that hairstyle]). And Hibiki would just silently stare before giving in.

I would cuddle with my lovely Fusoukaze.

So, I've just had a thought. Will there still be those weird moments of trolling? Case in point, the Germans built a wooden airfield, armed it with wooden AA guns, and had wooden airplanes on the field. The Allies let them finish, then bombed it with wooden practice bombs.

Probably. If anything, it wouldn't shock me if there were more.
