I guess? Maybe? Not sure what exactly you mean by "undertone".
But there's a whole article I read about fonts and things, and there was a section on Comic Sans and how there's nothing objectively wrong with it, it's just frequently misused and so gets a bad reputation.
It's a context thing, really. You wouldn't write a toddler's birthday party invite in Times New Roman, like "you are cordially invited to an event celebrating Little Timmy's arrival at the age of six", and you shouldn't write serious academic essays and/or legal contracts in the font literally designed for use in silly comic strips.
The question of what font to use in the banner is basically "is this quest more like a silly fun thing, or a serious thing?", and my answer for this quest is that it's more toward the serious side.

You can't go wrong with Arial. It's basic, clean, and appropriate for nearly all occasions.
When I'm staring at the same text for an extended period of time (like if trying to write something), I actually prefer Comic Sans over both Arial and Times New Roman, because I find it less boring to look at.
