Going by the cliches of the genre, the assault on Perth is scheduled for either during the school's combat tournament to decide who's Vanguard, or during the end of year ceremony. Given that this is a -1 world there's going to be a number of dead Valkyries, civilians and soldiers before the attack is turned back through the amazing theme music power up of the protagonist (and optionally his squadron).

Not if we break the genre *cackling*

Ceterum autem censeo Type Zero Abraxas esse delendam.

We can win by force of fucking Dakka, and the place to start is Space. We destroy class A type zero Abraxas, and suddenly we have all kinds of orbital capabilities. Then we either complete the Ginnungagap project or we bomb the ever-loving *expletive deleted* out of the American majors. The former is a win path presumably ending in a fight against a Class S while the project's result gets ready to Dakka Dakka the AGs straight to hell. The latter is a win path by straight force of arms; the American majors are the furthest from other majors and therefore probably more vulnerable, but their destruction would close fronts all over the place. Think taking out Japan in WWII before the Germans, if the allies actually had to commit significant forces against Japan and China was a critical part of the war effort. Suddenly the entire 300 can be sent to Eastern Europe + Africa. And we still have the orbitals.

... Woah, where did that come from?

But yeah Perth is probably getting attacked... Unless like everything else in this quest the plot differs from normal harem anime by having things make sense. We could get called away at any time as Coroner. Kouji and co could sneak away and try to miraculously save us. The flight could get rotated to the front with two combat-veteran aces on it. The international tournament thing could bring us closer to the front.

Well, you want a big fight scene that probably won't play out in the quest and lots of Anna? How about an antagonist attack on Perth? Especially if the instructors are wounded/dead/elsewhere/otherwise incapable of helping, and Anna and the other veteran cadets have to rally the younger students?

I pictured it as someone talking to a flight member in front of Koujirou.

Uh.

Hm.

Yeah, this could work... I'd have to have an AG kill Kouji, though.

Was he killed by the nukes or was he killed by the AGs?

Neither, he was killed by a team of civilians, soldiers, a detective and an bonafide sorcerer who foiled his attempt to escape in the same manner of the Great Race of Yith, at the same time preventing him from unleashing a Shoggoth upon the world.

The nuke was to clean up the evidence.

At the risks of succumbing to f delusions as to our protagonist's importance, what are the odds of the antagonists taking special notice of the use of the wave force? and could/would they track Anna down because of it?
At the very least I'm expecting some sort of antagonist counteroffensive, maybe a specific focus on Perth.

Does it matter? Frankly looking at the field, whoever wins we're screwed. I'm just going to follow the old army adage of 'Embrace the Suck' and get on with my life.
So this begs the question of what happened to the rest of the world with a superpower being wiped out over night, several great and major powers similarly decimated, and the near total destruction of infrastructure due to c-fractional impacts worldwide. Oh, and the impending nuclear winter, can't forget my biggest gripe about the backstory, but we can chalk that up to an extend Cold War or something...

Which falls apart when you remember that in this timeline the US and Russia cooperated in building a moonbase.

Honestly, I'm planning to write an omake based around this idea.

You hear me Kaizuki!?! DIBS! I CALL DIBS ON THIS ONE!

Go back, uh, five or six pages of thread. There's a whole big discussion about what happened. More than enough WoG to infer the pieces.

Nuclear winter didn't happen for a lot of reasons. #1 was that most of the nukes ended up in the ocean courtesy of superstorms.

... Can anyone tell us if the impactors would have contributed to a nuclear winter? Or is it impossible without knowing what kind of terrain they landed on?

Honestly, I'm planning to write an omake based around this idea.

All yours >: )

... Darn, now I have to actually write It. But not today! *snore*

I would be honored to beta for you if you so desire, Monsieur. *cackles* now he gets to write it AHAHAHAHAHAAA!

But no seriously write it and I'll edit it for you if you want. And, seriously, write it. I'll give you all the hugs if you do <3

I turn off my light, pull up my blanket, and nuzzle my head into a pillow.

And then I sit bolt fucking upright because of this fucking quest.

@Avalanche.

We're not going to be getting a 300 core.

But.

Apart from needing permission.

Is there a reason we couldn't integrate the weapon systems off of a 300 into Durga?

You cannot remove nor add to a Three Hundred Frame. They don't even have storage, one that is accessible that is. The only thing that has been attached to them are Higgs Particle Cannons, and that's literally the Valkyrie Holding onto the thing and squeezing a mechanical trigger system to fire it.

Their Impeller Fields are strong and regenerate fast enough that all moves requiring Higgs can be substituted with Impeller.

So they can't even be used to store bread? Who would want something like that?

And b4 Kouji spots us with a 300 trying to shove bread in it --> More Bread-Chan jokes --> Antagonists feel Anna's hate --> Whole world explodes --> Then, YOU FAILED. Anna did not become the main character. Thread ends, every one is sad.

In conclusion, let's not mess with the 300 suits.
