My point is, if you already track all of that in detail, you might as well be able to update it yourself.
I agree with Azel on this one. I try to occasionally update the front page but it's not exactly a regular event.
Ah, I see what you mean. @DragonParadox, if it would help, I don't mind keeping track of Alchemical stuff. Or anything else, really.
Does that count as a poison?

Because Tyene with her immunity should propably better rely on other contraceptives.
I think she can manage, between access to magic and her cast poison crafting knowledge. It's not really an aspect I would like to delve into.

Waymar is a contraceptive. His sword spontaneously gains new powers and properties based on where he sticks it, right?
Problem solved. HONOUR PREVAILS!

And honestly I always just assumed that Prestidigitation (or maybe Lesser Restoration, or Panacea) worked as a contraceptive and just abstracted that away with low-level spells or an Alchemy/Heal skill use.

[] Let's Do Both
-[] Invite the three to join you in Sorcerer's Deep for a time
--[] Offer them a place in Sorcerer's Deep. We will grant them land and fund construction of a suitable dwelling, if they wish to have a place of their own to call home. It wouldn't be fair to their daughter to raise her on the road, after all, and Sorcerer's Deep is full of children with whom she could socialize. There are also plenty of potential caretakers if both of her parents need to leave for a short time. A home would not only give them a place to store their belongings, it would also be a safe place to rest and recover after long and trying adventures.
--[] If they spend some time in Sorcerer's Deep, they might also find some among the island's populace who would be helpful in their Westerosi adventures.
--[X] As allies against the many beings who prey upon humanity, we would like to provide them with some essential gear to insure their continued survival and to increase their likelihood of succeeding on their adventures.
---[] Gear for Both:
----[] Lesser False Raven (x3)
----[] Greater False Raven (x1)
----[] Funding: 2,000 IM to spend as they see fit. Save it, invest it, or use it to cultivate Westerosi contacts and grease palms as necessary. Additional funding can be requested, subject to approval by our seneschal Alinor.
----[] Alchemical Items: Alchemist's Fire (x12), Fungal Stun Vial (x12), Healing Salve (x12), Monstrous Spider Poison [DC 28 2d8 Strength Damage] (x6), Sleep-Smoke (x12), Smokesticks (x24), Sunrods (x24), Tanglefoot Bags (x12), Thunderstones (x24)
---[] Gear for Alyssa: 2,374 IM
----[] Anklet of Translocation[84 IM]
----[] Corpse-Ferrying Bag[300 IM] - Ask that the bag, in addition to carrying their gear, also be used to preserve monster corpses so they can bring them to Sorcerer's Deep.
----[] Earring of Arcane Acuity[340 IM]
----[] Greater Ribbon of Disguise[800 IM]
----[] Healing Belt (+2 Constitution)[400 IM]
----[] Razorsharp Masterwork Adamantine Dagger
----[] Ring of Sustenance[150 IM]
----[] +1 Adamantine Long Spear[200 IM]
----[] +1 Reinforced Mithral Chain Shirt[100 IM]
---[] Gear for Danar: 3,331 IM
----[] Amulet of Protection from Evil[400 IM]
----[] Boots of the Wide Earth w/Anklet of Translocation effect[726 IM]
----[] Page of Spell Knowledge (Rope Trick)[240 IM]
----[] Ring of Sustenance (Slotless)[225 IM]
----[] +1 Adamantine Hand Axe[200 IM]
-[] Return to Lord Grafton as Dywen and report what you have found
--[] Inform Grafton that his daughter would be willing to meet with him, not at home, unfortunately, but at a neutral location of her choosing. If he is willing, we can facilitate the meeting.

Part MMCDVI: Of Sanctuary and Solace
Of Sanctuary and Solace

Eleventh Day of the Sixth Month 293 AC

There is something uniquely satisfying about giving gifts, you must admit. Perhaps its seeds can be found in that long ago frustration of being a pauper prince in Braavos when all you could do is hold out a hand yourself, perhaps it is simply that every such deed helps forge a court, a realm different from any that has come before. Whatever the case you can't keep a smile off your face at Danar and Alyssa's first sight of Sorcerer's Deep and its wonders of stone and sorcery, its people gathered from the four corners of the world and beyond. When they have drank their fill of the city's sights and sounds you make your offer. Treasure, arms, and armor to use as they see fit you offer, but also something more:

"This city serves as a sanctuary against the dangers of the world for many," you begin simply. "If you wish it, so it may serve for you. Here your daughter may find friends of the most unlikely sort and when the time comes a chance to study unmatched in all of Westeros and Essos. Here you may rest knowing that there are others to guard against even the most terrible of foes."

"Well now," Danar replies slowly. "That's mighty generous of you, and I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, but this one's got wings and a golden saddle so I've have to ask: why?"

You answer with a question of your own: "Think back to the path you followed, to the battles you have fought and the plots you have foiled. How many others do you think could have stood in your place? Oftentimes have noble lands and titles been gifted for service to the realm, and the two of your have certainly been of service in making sure I have a far better realm to look forward to when I turn my gaze west."

Another silent look passes between the two, Danar deferring to his wife in matters of 'southern politics' you suspect. She smiles widely: "We would gladly accept your offer, Your Grace."

It does not escape your notice that this is the first time she used the title, but you do not make anything of it. Better to have allies than subjects in this. Bloodraven may have given you a free hand in this, but that is no reason to upset his board anymore than you must. Not to mention the threat of less friendly eyes upon them.

Equipment: 5,705

Liquid Coin: 2,000

House: 3,500

Total: 11,205

As you are about to leave them in the experienced hands of Torner, one of your chief architects and as rumor has it 'fey wranglers,' Danar turns from the plans laid out for his family's new home and looks you straight in the eye. You have the oddest sense he would meet your gaze just as boldly were you to wear a dragon's coat of scales and primal wrath around you as a cloak. He nods slowly: "I've heard tales of dragons ever since I set foot ashore at White Harbor, and to tell the truth I didn't think much of most of them. Flames burning bright and dying quick might serve a man well in summertime, but in winter you need the fire in the hearth to last." He motions out the window of the small solar. "You look to be burning bright and true, too."

How strange to receive such a deft compliment that does not feel hollow, you think as you nod in thanks and bid the man farewell for the moment.

Returning to Grafton Keep above Gulltown, once more garbed in Dywen's modest garb, you find Lord Gerold Grafton in his cups, though he is quick to remove the cups and jug from the sight of a holy man the scent of spilled wine lingers. For once you sympathize with the impulse. If ever there was a cause to drink in excess towards it is the hurts of kith and kin. Still, he will need all his wits about him, so you offer to take away the haze of wine just as you had mended his shoulder.

"The Old Gods are generous, master Dywen," he notes shaking his head. "A septon would have told me that I aught to suffer for the sin of overindulgence."

"They are practical and hold few laws sacred, but those they keep with utmost stringency." You soften the stern announcement with a smile. "I found your daughter, my lord, and she is well, though not as you left her. " Here you hesitate moment. Alyssa wishes for her father to know of her circumstances, rather than meet him under a veil of lies, yet there is no way to soften the blow: "She is wed and a mother."

"Wed under another name?" You can read relief and anger both behind the old lord's gaze.

"Before a Heart Tree," you explain, speaking quickly lest he say something unwise without thought. "He is a son of Lord Crowl upon Skagos. Doubtless not the alliance you may have hoped for, but of an old and honorable line nonetheless."

"Skagos?" He snorts. "What proof has he given of such a thing?"

"The voices in wood and stone do not give lie to his words," you answer simply. "More surety that I cannot give you, though perhaps you might meet him sooner than you think."

"Where?" The word is a sigh as he slinks back into his seat.

"At Riverrun in one month's time..." you hesitate, unsure how much personal advice 'Dywen' dares to give. "She does still love you, my lord, and wishes you well, but she is afraid also and such wounds do not lightly heal." So saying you hold out the missive Alyssa had written.

He takes it up with slightly trembling hands then reads it once... twice. "You have done all that you have promised me, master Dywen, and so it is only fair that I do what I have pledged and find the truth of those who ambushed me. Know, however, that I will act upon that truth whatever I may find."

"I would expect no less," you bow and speak your farewells, satisfied with the past two days' doings.

Twelfth Day of the Sixth Month 293 AC

"So we've got to kill a wicked fire spirit in the heart of his power, rob him blind, and make it look like someone else did it?" Glyra says with relish as you reveal your plan for the Bey of Beggars. At your nod she actually starts to float gently with sheer good cheer. "That's the best plan I heard all month."

Garin is less eager about the notion but far more thoughtful in his approach: "Wasn't there something about a 'king of rogues' in the bazaar, a djinn who hates the Efreeti? We could get no small measure of aid from him, though I do not imagine it would come cheap."

"I say we keep it simple," Ser Richard counters. "Slip in by magic, kill him and his guards, steal whatever's worth taking and then lay down a false trail, maybe parlay the success into working with the local rogues."

What do you do?

[] Approach the organization Rahamet is part of before the attack to sell the notion that it is a local action by making it at least partly true
-[] Write in

[] Start studding the Bey's halls in preparation to an attack of your own

OOC: Sorry this took so long. I got caught up in another quest for a while.

If I were the Bey of Beggars, the first thing I'd is try to subvert organised crime in the vicinity. Or at least get good informants in there.

EDIT: This planning phase warrants a Commune.

....Another quest. Are.. are we not enough for you DP?
Don't worry. DP is reading Embers in the Dusk. But that quest is not only plagued by writing inferior to DP's, its thread is also only 4000 pages long and doesn't have the same type of quality shitposting as this one does!

Edit: Seriously though. I started reading it a few months back and got super enthusiastic, but then realized that it was uninspiring. It's a very by-the-numbers quest (at least at the start), and it doesn't make for a great reread. Maybe if I'd been participating from the start I would have loved it.

There is a lot of passion in those numbers.
Durin doesn't write particularly well, but the content is good.

That quest made me get an account here.

I think Durin could actually improve significantly in a more open quest. The mechanics are stiffling the narrative instead of supporting tjem.

What annoyed me at some point was the glut of canon omakes giving insane bonuses, each one more over the top then the last.

Can someone link me the schedule spreadsheet? I don't have it on my phone.

[X] Start studying the Bey's halls in preparation to carry out an attack of your own
-[X] Give Garin a Mind Blank ring(his PfE Ring was scheduled to be enchanted to be Slotless early this month for this purpose) and lend one to Glyra. No one involved in planning this operation, or who will be participating in the assault, will be unprotected by Mind Blank in order to prevent enemy Divinations from warning them.
-[X] Viserys Blood Wishes a Commune spell in order to learn as much about the Bey's personal security and schedule as possible, as well as any potential vulnerabilities we might exploit. He uses an additional Commune if necessary.
-[X] Garin and Glyra carefully scout out as much of the Bazaar's criminal underworld as they can without becoming involved in it, but not with the goal of soliciting their aid. Rather, we need to gather information and learn how to best implicate them in the Bey's assassination.
-[X] Once a plan is formulated, Viserys and selected Companions will prepare to perform the assassination. Specialized spell loadouts will be used and gear will be distributed as necessary.

We really should have a threadmark with every schedule in it...
