@DragonParadox we haven't used all our ship hunting days up right? Would be nice to do some nice easy hunting of Efreeti whalers alongside best whale and her new firey friends.

Would the Opaline Vault be interested in buying whaling ships at all since I doubt we have much use in taking them home with us?

[X] Lord or not, I see no reason to freely tell you of my home when Siduri was asked to make stringent oaths of secrecy. My question about planeshift was but mild curiousity. Although I wouldn't mind paying you to buy such an item for me to collect when we next meet, payment above cost of item to be discussed on collection, the example you quoted for price should suffice.

So extraplanar ACSEC is catering to the needs of extraplanar traders coming to our homeland?
I presume that it will be directing them to come to Sorcerer's Deep? Or will the Lannisters/Bobby B/Lyseni soon be seeing huge trading expeditions coming to their ports?

And is it feasible for us to keep control of the traders who arrive by making it difficult for others to obtain the necessary focus "Key" to find the Plane of Balance, or can any jug of wine sold to Outsiders be used as a focus allowing them to arrive here?
Because if possible I'd love if ACSEC took orders and then used Plane Shift + Teleport to fetch it and deliver, instead of seeing a gold rush of powerful Outsider spellcasters with retainers arrive in our lands and fucking over our economic plans in Lys or reinforcing the Lannisters or whatever.
@DragonParadox, thoughts?

This is giving me ideas for an Omake...
That's the plan. We use ACSECs tremendous convenience and regular Planeshift schedules to fascilate trade and disincentivice independent expeditions.

Why would a trader from the Opaline Vault mount an expedition when he can just pop over to the local ACSEC office and buy Braavosi products there?
Why would he spend time to look for buyers in Tolos when he can just post his offers at ACSEC, which arranges everything from the contracts to transport for him?

This implicitly means that our enemies won't see shit from all of this, since they effectively become backwater holes too far away from the major trade routes to bother with.

And we make a killing all the way from the fees.

Hard choice upcoming IMO, seeing as we will certainly need multiple Planeshifters to deal with demand and wil therefore have high starting costs: keep fees low (thereby meaning that we need to keep this going for a long time to recoup on starting costs), or have high fees (thereby incentivizing people starting their own trading expeditions).

The problem is less the shifters and more the transportation.

However, with Planeshift modules for ships available, I'm thinking to just make a planar train.

Lay down some track, load up the goods, then shift the whole thing over to a track in the OV and unload it again.

We just need to loot the Planeshift focusing statues from MS to make sure the train arrives on track.

Almost any material native to the plane will work as a focus for traveling there.

  1. You still have two more days left of the action
  2. They will take them off your hands, though not for the best price

1. Awesome, we can find them and take them out much easier than the earlier targets so we should be able to deal with a good number of them.
2. We'll likely capture a bunch so quantity will trump quality.

I've been thinking that planeshift related infrastructure might be nice to add to Road when we get that God built, if you're thinking of receiving and departure platforms that shift people. Could a very very simple construct (not golem, so it can be affected by planeshift ) be created with a massive Str score to carry a big container?

It's not really necessary. Yrtens ship isn't a construct either.

Best case, we can figure out a way to make the feature part of the track, so that any train passing over it is shifted over to a fixed location on another plane.

As I said. Loot the statues from MS.

This is creating chaos and disrupts trade, just as the Shaitan asked for

I was going to suggest buying one from OV or AK instead, as I do not want our infrastructure to use fiend magics.

Now I still want to get them from there, but taking the one from the effetri seems worth it for its own sake.

Unless... @DragonParadox regarding planeshift redirect magics, is the statue covering the city of brass a challenge for a planar metropolis to make, as in, how much would it cost for us to buy, and how much damage could we do to the city of brass by taking and breaking down theirs?

Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a backup incase a random incursion from the wilds break the current one :)

I would prefer to make our own. Take the Sultans, figure out how they work, grind them down for parts.

While I would love to settle the matter of Westeros in a 1 on 1 with Robert, I don't think he is suicidal enough to go for it. Even if we agree to a "no magic" rule.
If we agree to a no magic no turning into a dragon rule however, he's probably dumb enough to think he can take us, which there's actually a chance he might, Robert is good at fighting.
Assuming lore is correct he was killed by his brother and his wife is bipolar so yeah not really a ton of family.
He has a wife who selected him because she believed he would be a good father, it's very likely he has children.
I want to open branch offices in Amun Kelisk and the Opaline Vault. Hire Planeshift capable casters for it or make an item for it and then kickstart planar trade with Planetos.

In a fashion were we will profit tremendously from it.
We might also arrange for the Fire Whales to use our trading company, once the gem trade is set up, someone will have to make sure they get a proper price for them.

One thing to keep in mind is that Rhaella already lost one son trying to fight Robert sword in hand. She would probably have a panic attack if you proposed following in his footsteps
While I fully understand that this fear is anything but rational, it's still funny that she has less issues with us antagonizing the tyrants of various hell-dimensions then with fighting a fat guy with a hammer.

Funnily enough, if we used psychic reformation on her to give her a sufficiently good powerbuild and then gave her great gear, she could probably kill Robert herself!
It would probably be a little tight, but awesome to see!

She does not precisely know about some of your wilder doings. It's not that anyone lied to her, just that she did not ask: 'did you fight the aspect of a semi-divine hell-tyrant recently?'

Well, we also pissed off the Sultan of Brass, Dispater and gave asylum to someone who, if it gets known he still lives, will make Asmodeus come over himself to finish what he started.

It was a busy day.

Just tell her we already died once, if it happens again it still wont stick, it will just mean we have to keep away from Westeros, until they fuck it up so much they ask us to come back.:D

I don't think Trial by combat, has any no resurrection clauses in it.

Of course there's also the resurrect Lyanna plan, where we resurrect Lyanna, and interfere in the civil war that results, when Robert try to put Cercei aside for Lyanna.

Or alternatively, Robert give the throne to Joffrey to placate the Lannisters, and then as no longer king, he put aside Cercei in favor of trying to Woo Lyanna.

  1. About equivalent, though much harder to dispel
  2. Yes
:ogles::rofl:

Ok team, away from books so I'll confirm when I can check but I'm pretty sure we can now On/Off Hurricanes around SD without hindering trade and no effect on SD itself whatsoever.

It all comes down to recharge/attunement mechanic on the Lair Wards, if there's little to no lag then we just leverage the communications we already have in place for privateering and toll/exchange.

Hurricane forces effect the sea floor too with powerful surges and current disruptions, if it can significantly damage RL coral, shipwrecks, piping and cabling then it can frustrate the efforts of our Deep Sea asshole neighbours.

Magic in Westeros is so far behind the curve because Demon Lord Thingy of the Final Incantation is working through the anti-magic conspiracy there. It probably didn't start it, but instead just found fertile ground for influence. It may well target the group in Brravos, if it hasn't already.

@DragonParadox that demon that killed the head of the Silver Eye, we never asked what Lord it served/was part of. Can you tell us?

No one asked before the king of the Orphne Court loped its head off.

Come to think of though, didn't she wonder were all those fierce looking winged ladies have come from? Or what's up with the huge, golden snake-man corpse?

We are not exactly subtle with our work these days.
