The problem is that ASR is a swift action, and with Arcane Spellsurge, so are the rest of our spells. So bottling this guy might be challenging. Ish.

Painbrand the big guy and his friends, take out friends, bottle big guy. Also, I'd like to propose grand destiny before battle, for caster level checks to overcome SR. Or when Viserys sees a big disintergrate/similar danger spell or equiequivant heading his way.

Didn't notice SotD takes a full round to cast. Huh. We could designate a few people (party+strongest allies) to be immune or have the rest in the clear bubble. Honestly, unless more fiends pop up, I think this is overkill.

Fyi, Viserys has 19 conc + 9 con mod as a true dragon.

So he can get.. 7 people immune, on a 1 on the check (DC = 22+ no of people).
 
I think launching the closest thing to a tactical thermonuclear missile at the ship which not only contains what we're here for, but is in itself part of what we're here for, is kind of... awesome!

Big bad guy is blind. So it means that it has 50% chance to botch all targeted attack rolls.

We can just sit away and take out the rest of the threats first.
 
We have already gotten our share of x-commy goods to reverse-engineer.
I have no interest in this ship, frankly.

Getting sacrifices, and being efficient at it, on the other hand, is something I find ourselves in dire need of.

We should check for dragon eggs at the TP points in PoE by the way...
 
It does seem like a pointless bit of gambling just to snatch an opportunity to use our most powerful spell at full-bore.

Don't get me wrong, if our intent was to just sink the bastards, we could have probably just dropped it on them and ended the fight right then and there before they had a chance to do anything.

People under deck are certainly save from this spell.

So we can still free and loot after killing the guys up here.

Let's not make assumptions here. This is the most powerful fire spell we have, we've never cast it before, and here it's going to be Searing, Enlarged, and Maximized all at once.

I will be genuinely shocked if it doesn't utterly wreck the ship.
