I would suggest copious use of breath weapon. When the dust settles and we get eyes on the loot, -knowing us- we might want to change loot terms. Now, it'll probably not end in a fight, but much like with the negioations with Aberi, our unused spellslots will likely determine the initial strenght of our bargening position.

If we really want to loot that snake, being depleted of high level spells will likely tilt the balance of negotiations with the pirates, as it would mean greater risk if we force a violent confrontation. That in itself means a weaker barganing position obviously.

[X] Propose a different plan.
-[X] "We have found that Devils can often be disturbingly clever, and giving them even the slightest opportunity frequently leads them to implementing Fiendishly dangerous plots or fleeing entirely, neither of which is in our best interest today. Rather than ceding the initiative to the Baatezu, we shall instead strike them suddenly, like a bolt of lightning, using tactics similar to those they all to often employ thanks to their natural...gifts."
--[X] "Rest assured, I see no need to renegotiate our previously agreed upon terms, even if my preferred approach minimizes the Golden Winds' role in the coming raid."
-[X] We will instead approach the Devil vessel at maximum speed. Once it is in visual range, Viserys will Teleport to within Firebrand range of the vessel, cast a Quickened, Searing, Agonizing Firebrand targeting every visible enemy, taking care to avoid directly damaging the vessel, then make a strafing pass using Maximized, Searing, Agonizing, Dispelling Fire Breath, again attempting to prevent unnecessary damage to the vessel.
--[X] Immediately after Viserys' strafing attack, Dany will Teleport (sacrificing her prepared Break Enchantment spell) herself, Richard, Rina, and two of Yrten's crew, while Tyene Teleports herself, Waymar, Yrten, and two more of his crew, all aiming for cleared areas of the deck. If she is capable and willing, it would also be helpful if Siduri could Teleport another strike team to the Devil vessel.
--[X] Meanwhile, the Golden Wind will approach, hopefully unmolested by the distracted Devil's, in order to lend the support of its crew and weapons to our attack.
-[X] Just before the Devil vessel is to be attacked;
--[X] Tyene will cast Fickle Winds on the party and Yrten's strike force, along with Mass Resist Energy (Cold) and Mass Resist Energy (Fire) (using four 2nd level spell slots). She also renews her Greater Blindsight spell.
--[X] Dany and Rina renew their Sign spells.
--[X] Waymar renews his See Invisibility and Heart of Earth spells.
--[X] Viserys renews his Heart of Earth spell, then casts Mirror Image, Scinitillating Scales, Starmantle, and Greater Blink. Just before beginning the attack, he casts Searing, Agonizing Mass Fire Shield on the party and strike force, then casts Arcane Spellsurge (using two 6th level spell slots).

Where is the metamagic rod of chaining when you need it? We need more crafting ...

SPAWN MORE OVERLORDS! Or sumeting.

This is why I want us to put scholarium casters on dungeon delving archeology excavation.

Congratulations, you survived to publish a levelup paper. Youre now promoted to crafting monkey!

@DragonParadox, assuming the ship goes to us as the bulk of our half of the loot, that means we'll have captured four ships total from the Efreeti.

All four ships fully qualify for the bounty that the Grand Vizier hired us for, right? I'm really looking forward to those. I bet they're stupidly high bounties considering just who put them out in the first place.

Considering the speed at which combat is fought at this level the battle would likely be over before the ship could get in range

@DragonParadox, we're still going to have three more days for this action after the battle's conclusion and the loot-dividing (which hopefully won't take that long).

How's time looking to raid the other military supply convoy that was supposed to resupply a subjugated salamander tribe after this?

If we passed the deadline then we can just raid some whaling ships. That was the main selling point for Baella's aid in this, after all.

You are unlikely to catch it. You would probably need to go back to gathering information

That plan also sounds like 'look if the dragon survives the full volley of the devils, and let's they what they've really got for casters'.

Alright, info gathering it is.

Each big ship means more money for us through the bounties and the loot, and more tools to save our economy.
Pride, they are devils. Moreover you are a dragon, too dangerous to allow to harass them for days.
@DragonParadox, since Ytren has zero use for the devil corpses (and probably not even means to preserve them), can those just not be counted as actual loot? We can collect them on the side and then divvy up what both parties consider valuable as per our agreement.

He ha use for devils corpses, chopped up as reagents and sold to the highest bidder.
Damn. :/

Okay. I really think we made a bad deal here. We should have pulled a Relath and demanded 75% instead of 50% since it's obvious we're bringing the vast majority of the firepower.

Like, the most they're doing is pointing us in the right direction.
