[X] Goldfish

We can take items, lore, prisoners and some of the gold. He can take the slaves and some gold. Problem solved.
You know there's no way we'll be able to leave slaves in bondage, not with Dany and Waymar along with us. Coming from Dis, the ship probably doesn't have many slaves, though. It's more likely souls and raw materials.

[X] Plasn As Goldfish, But With Avasculate
-[X] The same basic plan as Goldfish, but Viserys learns Avasculate

Seriously people. Greater Dispel is neat, but we have Dispelling Breath already.

But the ability to halve the HP of any single target, no save allowed? That's the truly tasty stuff.
Avasculate is neat, but we already have so many ways to kill shit. Greater Dispel Magic can be used in Human form, or any time we don't want to breath fire on something. There are a lot of situations where Dispelling magic without immolating the target is called for.

It's important to remember that long-distance slave trade is all about trading valuable slaves, not menial workers. That's a common misconception that rose through the sole exception, the Atlantic slave trade.

If the Sultan of Brass bought people in Dis, they are most likely of the kind that are very useful to loot.

However, the captain is quite definitely playing us. He has vastly different goals then mere wealth. Something or someone very important is on that ship.

No, Avasculate is the perfect answer to the high-CR HP-bags we are facing these days.

@Goldfish, could I interest you in some good old draconic haggling?

-[] "It would be a foolish pirate who takes so much coin that the Brazen Throne will never let him live long enough to spend it all. You don't seem a moron blinded by his greed, though you seem to take me for one. The price to play a Red Dragon for a fool is four fifths, though I would settle for two thirds, if you tell me what you are truly after."

We can play up being a Red without being blatantly antagonistic. I have a good feeling about this Azer, and I think he's going to end up being a friend. Let's see how things play out?

And I'm perfectly willing to aid him to a greater degree, offer him refuge or various other things if his reasons are good.

Beside that, this is haggling, not threatening him.

We should purge that knowledge wherever we find It, even the bible has a very specific rule regarding what is unnaceptable behaviour during a fight.

Heh, having looked through, it actually doesn't. It does, however, have some surprisingly interesting spells that I feel we could use down the line.

For example, imagine getting this as a permanent effect on a hyper-buffed Heart Tree:

This for our Bards:

And...I'm not sure about this one, but for people with shared casting stats (or close enough) this could be utterly terrifying:

Imagine Viserys with access to Lya's spell list and vice versa. Obviously this would be only for those huge, balls to the wall legacy fights where we have loads of prep time, but...

I agree with Azel here, it'd be dumb not to push a bit in our negotiations.
Remember that we are playing up the Red Dragon angle here. Reds don't have heart to heart chats with lesser beings, and those lesser beings surely don't trust the Reds with sensitive information. Yrten is certainly selling this raid to us as if he knows how to interest a Red Dragon.

We might be pushing it even trying to current plan, as it is asking Yrten to trust that we won't betray him as soon as we are out of his line of sight. Or that we won't simply use the Arcane Marked Sending Stone to ambush him and his crew.

If that's what you are worried about, then haggle now and then take him along to meet the party. Which should be done anyway so that ge doesn't panic when we bring in a full assault team.

Turning rock into Volcanic soil is insanely good for a king. We can do the "make the land fertile" thing Druids do, except that our thing lasts decades! Or we could turn mountains and foundations into volcanic soil!

Overnight turn a keep into farmland, other men salt the earth, we simply wipe them from existence and grow crops instead.

I really did think we'd get around to it before this level but this became the new best spell to One and Done Casterly Rock, turn the top 160 feet of it into soil, which is ~50 meters.

I can't see it taking anymore than a dozen castings to take them down to ground level, 2 rounds a night is a rounding error on the schedule.

I don't recall using Shivering Touch but I'm guessing you're talking about the Shadow Dragon.

[X] Plan Azel
-[X] Standing Order: Block all attacks with Dreamcasting: Wings of Cover if possible
-[X] Dreamcasting: Displacement, keep distance
-[X] Dremcasting: Sonorous Hum, keep distance
-[X] Dreamcasting: Major Image, keep distance and keep the Image merged with yourself
-[X] Dreamcasting: Resilent Sphere on self, play the scared mortal
-[X] Dreamcasting: Greater Invisibility, the Major Image makes it seem that you are still there
-[X] Dreamcasting: Assay Spell Resistance, meanwhile taunt him to unload his Breath Weapon onto the Sphere
-[X] Dreamcasting: Dimension Door, leave the Major Image behind and hide outside of Blindsight range
-[X] Dreamcasting: Spectral Hand
-[X] Dreamcasting: Shivering Touch, deliverd by Spectral Hand
-[X] Repeat Shivering Touch until it drops. Recast Spectral Hand if necessary.

That was the level of high quality cheese required the beat the nightmare dragon. Thankfully it was in the dreamlands so hopefully everyone and their dog isn't going to try that on us if they catch us out

There's a gentleman's agreement with DP to generally stay away from Shivering Touch, and we only used it in the dreamlands because we would have been eaten alive had we not done it.
