Shearing Wealth
Twenty Sixth Day of the Fourth Month 293 AC
That the Hunter's Moon was swift and strong none could doubt, least of all the captains relieved of their coin for toll or their cargo and lives for practicing slavery in the king's waters, but you would have to put away quite a few jugs of wine to mistake her for being a subtle sneaky sort of ship. She was about as good at hiding as her infamous captain, or so the tale went, mostly from those who forgot that captain Moonsong could turn small enough to fit in a gull's nest if it suited her, and as it so happened that evening seven leagues off the coast of the Stormlands it did.
The darkness had come early on wings of cold mist, just the sort of weather that might tempt a foolish captain still flying the Crowned Stag to sneak his why out of Weeping Town and make good speed away from the port before changing the banner over, out of sight of prying eyes that might accuse him of disloyalty.
Luckily for any such fool they were not hunting such easy prey this night, Asha Greyjoy thought as she breathed in the fresh salt spray.
"Think the stuff's there?" Theon asked. He sounded dubious, and to be entirely fair the elder Greyjoy admitted she was not entirely without hesitation. There was a not-so-fine line between raiding ships and raiding a coast, and from what she had heard the King had some kind of deal with the lord of Storm's End, or at least he'd like to have one. Still, they weren't raiding any proper Stormlander treasure. Hells, you might even say what they were doing was more in the manner of smuggling than raiding, except for the fact that some of the guards..., most of them really, wouldn't have gotten the message.

They came ashore in a small boat, taking advantage of the bad weather and natural tendency of men wandering about the docks of any good-sized town at night to mind their own business. That likely would not see them through the whole night, but then they did not have to. Thanks to their friend among the guards who was looking to move to the Deep a far righter man than he ever was in Weeping Town, the raiders knew exactly where the shipment from the Alchemist's Guild was, and they had a good notion who would be guarding it.
It was almost too easy to lure the sellswords away with fake thumps and clangs round the back of the building, and the wards broke at the touch of sea salt mixed in with holy ash just as they had been told... which was of course where the whole thing went tits up.
The inside of the warehouse was dark and crowded, but not quite dark enough to hide the misshapen figure shambling mindlessly around the crates in the far corner. At first Asha thought it was some kind of dead thing, but then the captain's light revealed something far stranger: a mound of hair clumped together in a roughly man-like way moving towards them, a soft unsettling swish in its every move.
"It's a golem, no sense trying magic against it," the captain said, sounding far more cheerful than the situation called for, at least in Asha's opinion, and from all the swearing she was hearing her bother's as well.
Seeing no other recourse she met the thing axe in hand even while Theon's arrows flew wide. With a sort of grim humor she remembered complaining to Lady Stark that she would choke on hair if she grew it out too long even as the thing in front of her did its damnedest to make sure she would die just like that. Fortunately the thing fought like a clumsy puppet with no wits to speak of, so they were able to get into a rhythm where Asha and the captain would bait it by turn while Theon shot it again and again, swiftly as his sorcery would allow him, until finally the thing fell apart into just hair and hemp.
No sooner had it actually died that a familiar lazy-eyed and just plain lazy man made his entrance from a side room, cheering them on for their victory. Asha did not seriously consider stabbing him for sitting out the fight...
much. She did make sure to load him up with the heaviest crates, though.
OOC: Yes that is a proper golem the Alchemists made, but only a CR 5 one. Neither Theon nor Asha leveled up from this raid though both are getting close. Also, you might want to consider pulling Moonsong off routine raiding before she starts interpreting her orders even more inventively.
