I think the cat might end up getting stronger after you apply necromancy to it. Might want to assign some protect ion detail

We'll still be going after him immediately. There is no way some deity-level extraplanar power is focused on him just waiting to snatch him from the jaws of defeat, and the curse we're using is very high level and quite difficult to remove. He can't have contingency plans and escapes for everything, either. That he survived at all required serious shenanigans. He won't get that same luxury this time. We're capturing him and turning him into snake-god food.

Then it would be better to curse the stat which actually prevents us from Scry and Capture him without risks? If we are going to capture him immediately, better do it the foolproof way.

@DragonParadox, can the destroyed skull (I'm assuming there will be ashes) be used for Speak with Dead in the same manner that we can Blood Wish Speak with Dead on the Smith's ashes?

Here's Rohar's book:

Canticle of Decay
Canticle of Decay

Description: Canticle of Decay written in a trembling hand as he who set it down struggled against the chains of sorcery binding his mind this tome speaks of the works of the Horsemen as only one mad enough to offer them his soul can. As a loves's touch are the foulest festering wounds described and death as sweet release. Yet from among the twisted ramblings some insight may be gained not only in battling the fourfld scourges of Abandon but on how best to shed light on hidden cabals

Content: +3 on knowledge rolls regarding Daemons; +2 to gather information if one studies the book for one day before making a Gather Information or Diplomacy roll for the purposes of locating a cult [the bonus is permanent once read for those with perfect recall]

What's wrong with Teana going with us to Volantis? She knows the city and it's inhabitants better than we ever will, she knows Zherys' quite well, and her presence might throw Zherys' a bit off his game, as she has changed a great deal since leaving Volantis.

Plan changed to target his Wisdom score. Reducing that to 1 will make him just as helpless as if his Charisma was affected, so I have no issues with that.

This:
If all goes well, we won't see any XP for Volantis.

@DragonParadox, what's Viserys IC opinion on Teanas loyalties?
After all this time of being free and good treatment, he thinks they are quiet solid but would not stake his life on them like with one of the companions.

@Goldfish , why won't we scry and die him as soon as the Greater Curse hits?

We can even Baleful Teleport him to our base. His shitty Wisdom Score will ensure that we succeed.

This is also another opportunity to get her out of the Tower and on an adventure, even if we're hoping to avoid combat on this one. It's like an adventure with training wheels for her.

I also think it will be good for her to return to the city, if only briefly. She's so much more powerful now than she was, and with a position of great trust in Sorcerer's Deep, compared to being the mistress of a powerful man, that she could get a kind of closure there. It will be very apparent to her where she came from, where she is in life, and where she is going in the future.

Bringing her to treat with Zherys is a huge gamble. I'm cautiously optimistic that it will be a positive for us if we play our cards right, but it's still a potential liability.

After giving it some thought though, I'm inclined to keep her. It will be a delicate move, but we can play them against each other.

Reducing his Int seems better than his Charisma. Feeblemind makes people animals, and it's like with the Erinye: if he can escape from us as a cat then he deserves to escape.

Well, I think that "Dominate and make 'em write" policy is now unquestionably proven effective.

@Duesal, we should add making an effective guidebook for inquisitors out of this as a minor action.

Yep. And he can't possibly imagine just how much she has changed, or what she is capable of now.

Maybe he'll even try to manipulate or subvert her. :lol:rofl::lol

She knows the Air of Nobility spell for social interaction, and we've dumped a ton of her skill points in Sense Motive. We've also placed her in an incredibly important position and shown her trust on a level Zherys is likely incapable of.

IC thought from Viserys: While true there is at least the possibility that he will simply die from that which will solve your immediate problem but leave his bones free for potential resurrection, bones which you would have no idea how to find.

If the Wayfinder can detect him now, couldn't we just retrieve the bones? We'll need a replacement skull.

Also, @Duesal, please add-
[] Move the books from the keep to Shadow Tower. Public library is yet to be built, but the current one is already overfilled and needs to be redislocated.
-to minor actions.

As a bonus, that will also greatly improve the security of all our books.

You'll need to tag Goldfish for this instead of me. He copied the minor actions to the turn plan instead of linking to me, so he's in charge of it now.

My actual idea was to use Feeblemind and then immediately start Scrying him. Hopefully complex countermeasures become rather useless when at Int 1, and he doesn't have Teleport without Error at will and instinctively!
