@Tomcost there are no Thanadaemons loose on Prime Material. Those were the three slain / banished during Tyrosh conquest, which we now know the name of so we can summon and finish the job.

Damn it, minutes too late.

@Azel, as a reminder, Heart Trees are not just useful propaganda pieces. They're also teaching tools. Every time we grow one we should have our baby druids-to-be there to watch. The first chance we get we need to bring Reva and Liset here. I've gotten explicit confirmation from DP that them watching the growth of a Heart Tree -- a Tier-3 Heart Tree no less -- improves their perception and understanding of the magic of the Old Gods.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to have Soft Strider help out as well.

You wanted druids? This will get the druids faster.

Also, I want that book of Daemon Lore hunted down and added to the library. That thing sounds fascinating. After the Archons give us Demon Lore, all that's missing is Devil Lore.

I still want the pair of twins to go for a plant and animal specialization each
Nah, one for living parts of nature (animal and plants), one for elemental nature.

Edit: For example, take the Storm Druid variant from pathfinder, then Air as first Domain and later Fire or Earth as the additional one.

Ah, a good ol' "Forbidden Section" to our library. Always puts a smile to my face.

Anyway, what heart trees are we considering? I'd like to point out we don't need to make T3 ones if the third effect is just "nice". T1-2 trees spread all over could help with the various minor projects we want, like Tongues and Magic Circle on a market place.

We can grow four Heart Trees with Day of Blood alone, and depending on the artifacts we have for sacrifice we can grow one or two more. This is what's currently slated for growth.
Tree of Tyrosh
CL 20 Hallow Effect
Secondary Effect 1: Exorcism
Secondary Effect 2: Remove Disease
Secondary Effect 3: Heart's Ease
Tree of Dawn Fruit Mass Production
CL 20 Hallow Effect
Secondary Effect 1: Plant Growth
Secondary Effect 2: Plant Growth
Secondary Effect 3: Plant Growth
Philosopher's Tree
CL 20 Hallow Effect
Secondary Effect 1: Wisdom of the Ages
Secondary Effect 2: Tongues
Secondary Effect 3: Discern Lies
Tree of Westhaven
CL 20 Hallow Effect
Secondary Effect 1: Heart's Ease
Secondary Effect 2: Remove Disease
Secondary Effect 3: ???
Defense Tree
CL 20 Hallow Effect
Secondary Effect 1: Magic Vestment (+5 Enhancement bonus to AC for 20 hours)
Secondary Effect 2: Greater Magic Weapon (+5 Enhancement bonus to weapon attacks & damage for 20 hours)
Secondary Effect 3: Heart of Earth (+30 Temporary Hit Points plus secondary effects for 20 hours, and emergency DR 10/Adamantine 20 rounds)

And then the Tree of Castle Black, which we need to decide on. I was originally thinking Endure Elements on there, but we're making a dragon-themed magic item for that. Maybe Remove Disease, Heart's Ease, and something else?

The invasion has come and gone, yet Teana is still level 9. Let me make a wild guess: a random Quickling Thanadaemon ambushed her group, performed a full attack on Teana (critting his Energy Drain) and, to add insult to injury, Enervated her. All in a single round. And then teleported back to the fabled lands of CR appropriate encounters, cackling joy.

Now she will lock herself in our tower again, I just know it.

Old Gods are not so much about the elements I think.

Also because I want one of the twins to have speak with plants at will. Imagine the shenanigans they can pull via speaking with animals and plants, animal and plant shape, and telepathy between them

This is a good point, but we are now just going to take care of looters and common criminals. We've voted to grow the Tree of Tyrosh afterwards, but the details of that were pushed back to a dedicated vote.

We can add the twins and Softstrider then.

@Duesal you know what the Night's Watch Heart Tree should have?
Imbue with Spell Ability and Anyspell, probably in exchange for a HP sacrifice or temporary Con damage. Sounds powerful, but they could put it on one of their super old Heart Trees that they have lying around!

Actually, maybe we should use the ritual on one of those trees and get buffs with a huge AoE for those who recite their vows and have held true to them. Something like a Defence Tree would be fantastic for them!

One of them could speak and translate for the other.

I'm more looking towards the endgame, when one of them leads armies of overly-buffed animals in her own monstrous shape while the other calls down lightning and cracks the earth while flying under the effects of Stormrage.

Just giving you a heads up in case I'm asleep again while the vote happens. It'd be a shame if we simply forgot about it.

They won't reach that stage. But what I want will make the early levels more interesting

@Duesal, we should have a single vote for all the trees and just get it done. Then votes for speechifying each time as needed.
4 trees you said?
I want a Tyrosh Tree, a Philosopher's Tree, a Defence Tree and a Dawn Fruit Mass Production Tree. Then we can make a Night's Watch tree with artefacts (and Alter Fortune if needed)

Already asked DP about the Alter Fortune idea. It was shot down. Mortal magic cannot influence a divine ritual. Wish, maybe, but we don't have Wish and even if we did it would never be spent on this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the whole point of the Dawn Fruit Mass Production Tree is that humans can't have contact with the crop as it is growing, right? Weren't we going to have Leshys or other plant creatures do the tending and harvesting of these trees? If we don't have them in place to take this over, will this be okay until we do get them?

We already have Leshys who can do the initial prep-work:
Gained 11 Advanced Leshy (3 Leaf, 3 Fungus, 3 Seaweed, 1 Lotus, 1 Snapdragon)
Just have the best gardeners and engineers we have access to draw up plans for a self-sustaining irrigation system, pick out a reasonably secluded spot on Sorcerer's Deep to grow the Heart Tree, dig up the irrigation system, plant the Dawn Fruit Trees at appropriate distances from the center and each other, have the Leshys present for initial work, and then grow the Heart Tree.

It doesn't take that long to get new Leshys. We'll be fine.
It's not like we won't do a lot of gardening in the next days. :V
Yeah, and they're going to be there for all of it. ;)

I also want the rest of the Children of the Forest to watch for the three Heart Trees grown in Sorcerer's Deep.

I would prefer to have the Leshys in place when we grow that tree, so we should definitely set the Fungus Forge on Leshy production.

Not sure on what kinds, but I've calculated the workload and 12 Leshys would be fine. Could add a few more for added defense of the place.

I would say at least 2 Fungus Leshy for composting duties and maybe another Lotus Leshy as their "commander". I would splurge a bit there and add the Cleric Creature Template, preferably remodeled to grant Druid casting instead, so that we have a minor caster as chief defender.

We will need a contingent of Gourd Leshys for the land that is going to feed Tyrosh

Also I can't wait to know what all the daemon and culstist bodies do in the Fungus Forge
