@TalonofAnathrax

Melee with Dark Sister is a perfectly respectable means of disposing of mooks. It even becomes legitimately threatening at equivalent CR when up-sized to HHD.

And Fiery Burst isn't really a decent ranged option, more a demonstrative burst of firepower and unlimited access to flame in general. Pretty sure Viserys sashimi slicing things that aren't worth wasting actual spells on is and will remain perfectly valid. Also, free caster levels!

I said Fire Darts, not Fiery Burst. And capturing assassins with magic is always better than cutting them to pieces. We have a shitton of spells, and capturing them alive allows us to interrogate them and easily get information about who sent them and about the state of the local assassination economy and whatnot.

Edit: And no assassins sent against us will be real mooks. They'll have poison and such, and a few decently leveled people among them too I guess.

I can't be the only one who appreciates a bit of liberal violence and bloodshed on people who we'd be wholly unsympathetic towards.

...okay, I confess. I just feel bad for Dark Sister. Best Swordo needs love too.

I like Viserys being actually good with his sword. But the chances when we will actually consider using it are those when we are underground or when we don't want people we know we are a True Dragon.

And we always want people to know we are a True Dragon :V

[X] Goldfish

Unless there is a way to wield her with Telekinesis or make her a flying sword a la Waymar' s floating shield.

Well, Viserys does know the Telekinesis spell, and it can be used to manipulate objects...
An object can be telekinetically manipulated as if with one hand. For example, a lever or rope can be pulled, a key can be turned, an object rotated, and so on, if the force required is within the weight limitation. You might even be able to untie simple knots, though delicate activities such as these require Intelligence checks against a DC set by the DM.
:drevil:

@Goldfish, at least add Lya back in, since we need for scrying.

Unfortunately, Lya couldn't Scry her way out of a paper bag at the moment, because we haven't had her learn the necessary spells yet.

I assumed we were going to do the Scrying ourselves to give them a Teleport destination? Dany is currently out conquering Tyroshi cities and neither Malarys or Rina have it prepared.

[X] Plan Delegate - Spider Glyra Edition
-[X] Viserys uses Blood Wish (via two 6th level spell slots) to Scry Rohar's location, then consumes a potion of Lesser Restoration before continuing with the executions.
-[X] Bronn, Spider Glyra, Maelor, Xor and Vee go after Rohar once Viserys gives them a valid Teleportation destination.

We wouldn't actually cut down any assassins though. Sorry Dark Sister, but melee is a terrible choice unless we can do nothing to avoid it. Quickened Ancestral Awakaning for Subdual Substitution, then cast Subdual Fire Darts, then Celerity to cast a Quickened Subdual Fire Darts and then cast a Resilient Sphere around ourselves if we're alone (for protection while we're dazed).
Then pick up our unconscious assailants and mindrape them.

Can't have a quick action in the celerity round, only a standard.

Edit: @Goldfish maybe add to BP the cleric?

Edit, or bottle it in our bag?

Vote Azel, people!
Goldfish's plan while okay, doesn't include a high chance of getting a level-10 sacrifice.
Lya can capture the mage.
Vee alone can't.
Also, Richard is also great at hitting people mages with a blunt side of Oathkeeper.
Bronn isn't.
EDIT: Tomcost-ed

The Plan sorta lacks the means to capture this guy for future sacrificial purposes

He can easily be beaten unconscious, and if there was ever someone who wouldn't hesitate to remove an enemy's limbs, it's Bronn.

Maelor has the Charm Invocation and he can cast Blindness/Deafness.

Glyra can steal his magic.

Vee has spells like Venom Bolt and Hallucinogenic Smoke to render him helpless.

But really, once you de-limb someone, blind them, cut out their tongue, then knock them unconscious, they just don't present much trouble afterwards.

We're dropping a research action on it first, to learn how it's connected to whenever Others are and stuff flike that.

It's not about being scared of Others, it's that we're suspicious of them getting a free shot at us with Fimbulwinter.
I'm all for using this thing to power something, but all-out against using it "somewhere else".
That sould be just stupid, to give them more metaphorical foothold anywhere in the world.
Also, selling it to Shaitan is a viable route, one that can give us a lot of profit and goodwill with them.
Which in turn leads to more profit.
But again, we need a research action, to even know if it's possible to use it's Fimbulwinter in Molten Skies.

The goodwill argument falls flat on its face because if it does act as a beacon for the others then we just let loose an icy fae monster on our trade partners... oops

it's not like we're going to hold back any info about this artifact if we're selling it, no?

Unlike that time with cursed medalion, we'll (after dropping research action on it) actually know of consequenses of using it.

And it's not like making a door into Molten Skies will be much good for Others.
On Planetos we have to proactively defend against their incursions, but on infinite outer planes, they're not a problem for anyone but those on whose turf this artifact is used.
And wouldn't you know it, in that theoretical application of Fimbulwinter against Efreet, it's Efreet who'd get even mpore trouble at their door, not Shaitan.

You know who also liked cats?
Hitler.

Look all I'm saying is the more we know about this the better because we can sell it for higher if it has more uses and that so we don't accidentally fuck up the walls anti teleport wards because of our short sightedness

We currently have a tied vote, @DragonParadox.

Interlude? :)
