Some good Alter Self forms:
Swim speed: Aquatic Elf, Merfolk, Locatah, Tren (this one also comes with +8 Natural Armour).

Many forms also provide other racial bonuses like skill bonuses. Check this guide for starters.

Reminder: Knowledge (Arcana) can lets us know that these things exist. No need to have met them!

I'm... Pretty sure that DP wrote something about Tritons becoming native to Planetos after so much time.
Are that still outsiders?
@DragonParadox?

@Diomedon You forgot the bonus to saves: +5 to all saves, additional +1 against Fear, Sleep and Paralysis, +3 on Trip/Disarm/Bullrush/Sunder checks.

Also, Corporal's base Trip should be +6 instead of +9, and base damage (2d4+4/x3). Outflank grants an AoO on a critical hit, not any hit from an ally.

Think Yss could equip our npc casters by converting fiendish spider HDs to robes?

Fuzzy robes, mandible framed cleavage. :V

Edit: Actually asking for silk as a regeant like the one we got from Mantarys weirwood maybe?

Let's just focus on getting the weirwoods grown first. It's already going to be hard enough with people hell-bent on banishing the Daemons instead of capturing them for sacrifice. We don't need to cut into our future supply of fiendish spiders as well.

Vote closed. Sorry it took so long my internet stopped working for half the day.

Corporal should have +1 Knowledge (War), as that is already counting the ability mods, and the officers should lose Manager to max Soldier.

Where did you get that Flagbearer bonus? Isn't motivate attack also morale? It wouldn't stack.

Master of Tactics is +3, not +1. The normal damage in formation is 1d8+6, with Magic Army it's 1d8+9.

Remember, they are hitting against flatfooted AC.

Does Silence + Invisibikity stop our Blindsense?

All spells, Draconic Power is universal. It gives +1 DC with Fire spells on top of a blanket +1 CL.

Not keen on UMD, would rather get Alchemy and maybe Sense Motive. The odd point in (The Planes) too.

I was following the progression you laid out. :V We can clean that up.

I got the flagbearer bonus from the standard bearer I stuck in every formation, with redundancies at the higher organizational levels, but forgot to stat up, because it's one guy with whose job is to hold the flag and have the flagbearer feat. It's basically a guy with a tower shield, holding the standard with the flagbearer feat. All auras are circumstance bonuses, so they should stack with the morale bonus from flagbearer.

You're right, I misread the minor aura bit. That's pretty nice.

Where do we get +5 to the saves from?

We don't have outflank, because we don't have any advanced corporals. But that'll be quite nice when we have an elite, experienced legion.

[X] Since the Magisters paid them already and their role in the fighting is rather safe, 6000 IM as a one time bonus and you take the remaining time of the contract that was already paid for.

Shake if Off grants +4, Command Aura grants +1, Draconic Aura the circumstantial ones.

Ah, I was explicitly leaving off the senior officers, since most units wont be getting benefit from them (At his point we have probably around 4 or 5 of them total), it'd be bad practice to include them in the "general use" stat block.

So...
What would be our legioners stats in no-buffs, no high-standing-officers situation, then?

Diomedon posted those a bit ago.

The gist of it:
Basic Legionaires - slightly below a trained knight
Basic Legionaires in formation - slightly above a trained knight
Legion with NCOs - equal to Outsider footsoldiers
Legion with full officer corps and buffs - "Skull-fucks for everyone!"

Interlude CCXXXVII: At the Turn of the Tide
At the Turn of the Tide

Twenty-Seventh Day of the Second Month 293 AC

The deal was swiftly struck, six thousand marks is treachery's price, for they had already been paid handsomely by the same magisters who would likely be divested of a great deal more coin before the night is out. Ser Richard Lonmouth looked on to his liege's consummate skill in making the bargain with a strange admixture of pride in the skill and discomfort that he would have to make use of it. The bloody sellsword aught to have counted himself lucky to have come out of this with his head still attached to his shoulders and a chance to march out of the city in peace as opposed to the fate of most garrisons of a defeated city.

This would not be war as Essos knew it, a game for stakes lightly won and lost, the knight thought even as the tent vanished from his sight to be replaced by the gray emptiness of long-striding and then the lantern-lit deck of the Queen Rhaella. This would be a war of conquest, such as Aegon fought when he forged Westeros into one and laid seven crowns one over the other upon his brows. How many crowns King Viserys Targaryen Third of His Name might wear before the end he could not begin to guess, but the first was being forged even now in the darkness to the east.

Soon it became clear that the Bloody Tower had already fallen with none the wiser as to its fate, no easy feat to be sure, though Richard had expected that they would manage it somehow, as much shades as living men... he caught himself thinking and snorted softly to himself, though not so softly that the little princess did not notice.

"What?" she asked, continuing to sit with him by the railing as her bother went below decks to sleep and renew his magic.

"I had been counting those who took the Bleeding Tower men," he explained.

"Well that is just silly, then," she replied facetiously, counting off on her fingers. "Wyla, Azema, Glyra, and Aradia are all clearly women."

"Aye, that's the strangest thing about that lot," Richard laughed.

For a while they lapsed into companionable silence watching the waves lapping the sides of the ship, the occasional flash of sliver scale as the triton scouts broke the surface to signal that all is clear.

"Have you thought about what you intend to do when all this is done?" the princess asked softly. "What lands or dignities you would prefer for leal and valorous service?"

"The lands of my House..." he began, honestly unsure what else to say. With all the horrors that lurked in the dark places of the world and in the realms beyond it that stretched out without end, the knight could scarce imagine an end to this battle.

"I'm sure they are quite lovely," came the tactful reply. "But don't you think they might be a touch narrow for a man of your skills?"

"My skills have not changed that much in kind since I first swore a knight's vow, Highness. Swords, shield and horse... though less of the latter two if truth be told," he replied. He'd not ridden a proper horse in close to three years, Richard realized with a start, only the shadow beasts the king conjured. Did he even remember how to ride anything that was not perfectly obedient to the rider's will anymore?

"Nonsense," the girl replied with the definitive tone of one laying down a sentence. "You have stood fast against such foes as could empty the Seven Kingdoms of knights, you have slain things out of blackest nightmare. If you were to face..." she paused a moment, thinking... "the Black Dread sword against claw I have little doubt who would be the winner, and it would not be the that sorry beast. "

"I do not think this confession will speak well of me, Highness, but..." Richard was not used to feeling unsure of his footing, but he could not very well deny her answers just because he had not thought to consider them up till now.

"I can scarce imagine such a thing," she replied with a smile.

"'Great lord' sounds to me like the mark of a man beset by countless headaches, if he is doing things properly at least. I've no great love for the ordering of thousands upon thousands of men's lives. A small keep and quiet lands will do me just fine..."

"What if we made it fly?" the princes asked brightly.

"I'm not sure if I should be asking the obvious question," Richard said after a moment, feeling a a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"Well of course you should not. The answer is obviously yes." She giggled a little, for the moment every inch the little girl, though the knight had no doubt one who could deliver on a flying keep somehow if she put her mind to it. For just a moment he allowed himself imagine the fanciful scene, before shaking his head and returning his thoughts to the present... the battle to come.

What perspective would you prefer next?

[] The Bronze Knight (Waymar)

[] The Standard Bearer (Carrier of the Staff of the Slayer)

OOC: I do not usually give votes in interludes, but since the event is shaping out to be very cinematic and a lot of people have been waiting for it I thought I'd give you guys the chance to pick what to focus on before we return to Viserys with the beginning of the main assault.

[X] The Kraken's Daughter (Asha)

I want to see how Rina is doing.
The Moonsong-group is going to face a lot of trouble today and they won't be reinforced as soon as the soldiers, so that's propably the most dangerous thing we'll have to win without Viserys' intervention, if I understood the plan right.

[X] The Standard Bearer (Carrier of the Staff of the Slayer)

I want to see the perspective of our very own 501st's.

[X] The Kraken's Daughter (Asha)

The main assault hasn't kicked off yet, this is our interlude for looking at pre-combat jitters. I'd like more insight into how Asha has been doing from her perspective, but the Spider Ensnared is my second favorite, since seeing "business as usual" transition to "oh crap, oh crap, oh crap, why wasn't I warned?!" should be fun.

The standard bearer might be a bit boring, considering that he stands around with the Daemon Task-Force in the Shadow Tower.

[X] The Spider Ensnared (Cultist Mage)

Enemy PoVs are so very rare and this is one of those unique moments where we can get one without receiving any useful intel from it. Because all of them will be dead or captured before the sun rises.
