You now have my vote for that.
Seriously though, massive destruction from the air is stupidly easy with Major Creation, Shrink Item and Launch Item objects. So let's use it!
Baby steps. Flying ships first, then flying fortresses.
Or, since everybody else seems to be waking up to magic, maybe some of the giants have discovered they are actually Cloud or Storm Giants, and find ancestral knowledge on how to build them....
I don't think you're going to have that kind of luck. These giants seem pretty firmly landbound, building great towers and such. Nothing about flying fortresses from them, even from the Children's lore. We can use them for nice and sturdy fortresses on land, but we're going to need to look elsewhere for a flying fortress.
Building one is easy enough actually. Just make it a Golem with a fly speed: immune to pretty much all magic and can fly even in an Antimagic field.
Horribly expensive, but easy enough.
Yeah, expensive enough to drain the hoard. :o Let's just stick to looting one for now.

I don't think Planetosi Giants are traditional D&D Giants. They might be related in some way, but they're otherwise too dissimilar.

It would be kinda neat, though.

Good start! Now let's make the land under that castle fly!
Reliques et Rituels is a third party book for d20 that had some very balanced rules for rituals, including one to make a castle fly that we could probably use easily enough.
Can I post it here and see if DP will approve it, or is that against forum rules?

[X] The Standard Bearer (Carrier of the Staff of the Slayer)

Well, no one ever said bribery doesn't work. If azel wants to write the cultist, this was my second choice anyway.

Easy does it. This is far, far into the future. We'd probably need entire months of Lya time to research and craft everything, and a depleted treasury. I get that you're excited, but this is the furthest thing from practical to actually make ourselves. That's why we're better off just looting one.

I think you're fine if it's in PM.

Oh, no worries, I wasn't going to push for it too hard for now.
This will just be my own pet project from now on, that I will occasionally mention whenever the time comes to vote on monthly planning :p

I always thought that flying cavalry (that couldn't breathe fire) was pretty terrible/boring, but now I know what I want! Flying bombers! Flying status symbols! Flying army transports!

It'd be a useful asset in the epic levels for sure, I'll give you that.

Ooh, something else to add to the crafting wish list.

Wayfinders. At least four more, one of which to be given to the baby adventurers, and the other three distributed among the main party.
Appearance: An odd device cunningly made of wood, stone, and gleaming brass: a wooden disk about five inches across surrounded by eight tiny doors interspaced with stone pillars and capped with a brass dome which can be opened to reveal the face of the device marked with cardinal signs surrounding a circle of black crystal in which specks of diamond dust dance in an ever-shifting spiral.

Abilities: Circle Dance, Locate Creature, Locate Object (At Will)

Caster Level: 7
And the Wayfinder that Viserys has to be upgraded with more effects. I want to add a Lay of the Land effect and a Locate Plant or Animal effect.

Then join the glorious Magi-tek revolution! An airport for every city, a squadron of bombers for every Legion and an incendiary bomb for every White Walker! Peace through saturation bombardment!

I will say it again, exactly those two effects haven been on the Wayfinder since forever. They where always part of it.

We even used Lay of the Land in Lys to find the Lichs hideout.*

Argl this is better than trailers, so hard to decide.

[X] The Kraken's Daughter (Asha)

I want to see if Rina's going to cast Blizzard, or "fuck your fleet" Maximized Boreal Wind. Though seeing that from any other position would also be fine.

I'm looking at it and I'm not seeing it.

That's what we have on the front page. Lay of the Land is nowhere to be found. Locate Plant or Animal I guess could be squashed into Locate Creature, but Lay of the Land definitely isn't on there. @Azel, are you sure we didn't just use Vee for that when we hunted the Lich? She was there for both instances.
Ooh, very nice.

@DragonParadox What is the timescale of these choices? If we choose legionnarie would we see them storming the palace from the Shadow Tower? Or just standing around waiting? Because if its the latter I'd prefer The Kraken's Daugther to the Legion. I really want to reserve the Legion POV for when they go all Saving Private Ryan Omaha Landing Scene on the Archon's Palace. (Except the unsullied will do all the dying).

While I do fully support your position and plans, I would prefer if you stuck to a more medieval aesthetic. Forget aerodynamics: we need flying castles, not planes.
If you stick with the magitech aesthetic I will vote for you every time.
