Also, hell, it seems our magical education is, indeed, less effective in general than that of... Everyone around, really.
We need to step up put game.
Both by making Scholarum better and by killing off competition (starting with Tiamat-aligned wizards) and stealing secrets of other mage-schools.
Oh, hi magisters. What's that, groves of magical lore? Nope, we're taking it, bye-bye!

Eh, I'll be honest, the whole "binding" schtick reeks of slavery to me. Heck, it's worse in some ways, like if you took a man or woman and warped them 'til they were nothing more than beasts to be brought to heel.

I have no interest in binding sentient beings, Red Dragon Wyrmlings included. Killing them, on the other hand, is perfectly acceptable to me. Or displacing the mind and soul of one of them in order for Amrelath to permanently move in.

It doesn't store them. I lets you add them to your list of spells known. According to DP, once those spells are selected, they can't be changed until you level up. So we're going to need to find three really good, really obscure 1st to 3rd level spells for Lya that she couldn't normally learn elsewhere or that are simply not available on her regular spell lists.

Same goes for the lesser amulet, but it is limited to 1st level spells.

I thought about that, but wasn't sure if DP would allow it. If so, we are going to abuse the amulet so fucking hard...

@DragonParadox Can we use it to make 3rd level spells from other spell lists available that wouldn't normally be 3rd level for a regular caster? Garin's 3rd level Mass Invisibility, for example?

Knew it. I fucking knew it. I called it from day one, Tiamat would almost certainly take away the eggs and use them to hatch True Reds. Lo and behold, I was right. No more Valyrian Dragons for us from the Golden Company. We're going to need to raid Valyria itself for some of those.

I am also completely unsurprised that Blackfyre and the Blackfyre are nowhere to be found. I'm glad we went through with this interrogation. And also, given what the clerics have been up to since revival, that only cements the decision to toss them straight to Yss. Absolutely no freedom for them.

I'm looking at the charactersheets of some Red Wyrmlings to see if we could conceivably set some baby adventurers on the job.

Red Dragon, Wyrmling – d20PFSRD

A wymling is CR 6? o_O Damn.

Also, the "crowned" the wizard's ashes spoke of is definitely the wyrmling that stuck with the Golden Company. That's the one being groomed as Tiamat's true champion.
 
I'm starting to feel as if we can plaster the world with Heart Trees, even if we keep restricting ourselves to evil monsters...


And it's nice to see that Tiamat is leading her forces like a screeching idiot. Who also happen to be a bunch of screeching idiots.

A Red Dragon Wyrmling masquerading as a pretender unknowingly masquerading as a Targaryen. Rather than F!Aegon, it will be Dr!Aegon.

If the dragon aging ritual didn't include so much sacrifice, I'd argue to wait and capture this body for Amrelath.

Could be. Not enough information to be sure right now.

Either way, with the wyrmlings we have ~4 or so years before they move up an age category and become Very Young.

Also, the Golden Company has come up with a very, very annoying complication. Literally everything says that we should destroy them ASAP. They have two Tiamat clerics, they have multiple arcane casters capable of Fourth Circle magic, they're sacrificing random slaves en mass, they're releasing red dragons into the world, etc.

But that fucking Sorcerer King in Nefer. We can't make our move on the Golden Company until we know we won't get fucked over by the rituals.
