We should put the mercs we want to survive on ships as soon as possible.

Warriors against incorporeal Undead would a be a massacer for no benefit.
Just have them march a few miles outside the city and use the shadow tower there.
As for the Smith, so he was trying to make more of himself, i kinda want him, even if he wont be subservient, Its the same deal we have with most of our companions after all.
So, they have 9 dragons, 6 mages and faegon?

"One cannot die who has never truly lived, nor a spirit enduring be bound to swiftly fading flesh," the whisper from the swirling ash responds.
Shouldn't the Smith just have a construct reincarnation list? The spell do say that non-humanoids just get a different list, so I would expect the Smith if brought back by reincarnate, would just become a randomized construct.

I think I speak for a hefty part of the thread when I say that supposed 'allies' do not interest us. If the stone spirit won't bend the knee then he can stay in his afterlife, if he even has one.

Shadow Tower should be operational with no Amrelath turbulence messing it up, thought I'd have Lya give it a quick pre flight check just in case.

I want the Draco-lich here, he's perfect for capturing undead, and captured undeads mean sacrifices to the old gods.

Grinding undead for loot and XP sounds like something that could be left for later, after Tyrosh... we have a lot of stuff to do. If you want to loot only the most essential stuff thought I'm with you, though bear in mind that could wake up the rest of the undead and timesink us rather harshly.

Nine Abishai or nine drakes, that's what we have to determine, I think.

Whoever makes the schedule from now on please, I'm, like, begging here, include searching for Illyrio with wayfinder on a constant basis.
Aaaaand we should probably get down to restoring his documents from the ashes right away.

Still at work, so it'll be a little bit before I can start tinkering with the schedule.

Needless to say, a lot of extra time is available. We need to decide how to allot it.

He did agree that he would offer recompense, so rezzing him is likely to be worth it just to get that reward, and he's amenable to working with us, and seem mainly interested in knowledge, so it's likely he will be ready to help with research, in return for getting to see all the interesting research objects we have.

I don't want the main party to grind for loot and undead, I want the Draco-lich and a few others to grind for loot and undeads, and it can't be left for later, the Draco-lich don't plan to stay a lich long, so if we want to use his ability to command undeads to gather sacrifices, we have to do it now.

Using the Wayfinder each time before we eat Ah, forgot Viserys does not even eat anymore. Well, we could check with the Wayfinder at three intervals each day, and the moment he appears visible we scry and die him. No way he has enough time to set up a trap in the Material if we strike within hours of him bolting from his hidey hole.

Well I'm convinced.

Might as well bring him back, we have a forge and he's a smith, he could build the people he wants and we get more citizens out of the deal.

Win-win, hell even more win if he includes Dragon glass into their components somehow so they can strangle the blue skinned cousin fuckers when they show their ugly heads.

@DragonParadox, since reincarnation is apparently off the table, what do we need to do if we want to bring the wizard back?

The mental echo does not think that you can bring it back, it does not necessarily mean its right. Research might be in order.

@DragonParadox , did we find a miniature chest among the Smith's possessions? It is necessary for the Secret Chest spell

No, nothing like that.

The Smith is probably a brilliant Earth Elemental spirit bound into the form we just killed. We would need to know his true name, somehow.

On point 1, I think you're assuming a whole lot, our allies usually demand a lot of take for a modicum of give, and I'm skeptical of helping this guys project (timesink) to awaken stone when he'll turn into another functional Archon (An 'ally' researcher stuck in Sallosh which will be ill disposed to leave his experiments to work for us/the party (and we'll have to pay him for that), and at best will be a friendly collegue for Lya to exhange research notes with, and Lya has a backlog of stuff to do since at least Volantis (lore of fire)) so I'm not too optimistic. Plus, the way I read his 'recompense for harm' answer was that he'd be amenable to be pacified by giving him recompense for the harm which was comitted against him. After all, we were the ones who harmed him and slayed him out of nowhere when he was just tinkering with a ritual.

On point 2: Sounds good, rock on!

Okay. Well, at the very least, we're probably not going to have to scurry to finish this 13 days after death given how an expensive ritual is required. Worse case scenario and we don't manage to bring him back, we can use Speak with Dead over the course of a few weeks to home in on exactly where he hid the spellbook and how we can get it.
Nine drakes or dragons.
Six mages or clerics.
One Blackfyre Champion of Tiamat.

@Duesal, would you kindly add that to our To-Burn List?
Already done.

I'm looking forward to that particular confrontation, and really looking forward to taking back Blackfyre and murdering all those drakes.

Also, confirmation that the Blackfyre kid is indeed in Tiamat's thrall. Looks like Connington failed after all.

We can ask his true name next week with the next Speak with Dead. I'm glad we voted to keep the ashes and add them to the skull collection.

[X] Order the new legion members to leave the city and camp a few hours away from It.
-[X] go back to SD and prepare the shadow tower to teleport your new army. Clear the área around the entrance, inform Teana to organize her students, Discreetly place a few trusted guards in the most critical areas.
-[X] Use divination to check for any damage to the tower resulting from this, both as a consequence of the travel itself and from sabotage or betrayal.
-[X] while your orders are carried out, Talk to Amrelath, we might need its services to control any undead that rise against us in the city. You also want to know how much he was able to perceive while in the tower, and if he noticed anything suspicious.

Fair warning, i do not know how divination works mechanically (10 questions? Or is that commune? Which one is the riddles and which one is yes/no?) , So if someone likes the vote and wants to take over please do.
