He could still try to suicide by diving into the liquid/sea. Turtling doesn't include items(?), so, the staff is going to fall?
I suppose, but I bet our party is enough to catch one bird before it falls there. If it gets done in by BP, Dany can still act before it. And I het he'd be confused enough for us get a round in. At least for Maelor, whom is already flying, to cast Nerveskitter on himself and move before it.

And magic items are hard to damage.
Well, yeah, all then plans have a "kill them" as a contigency in somewhere, but I mean, by using Waymar's as damage over aiding BP, you prioritise assisting the plan b (kill it) over helping plan A. While Waymar's killyness means that weather his action is better spent helping plan b even over helping plan a efforts is a lot more debatable than it would be for most characters, it means that if we do bp the djinn, his actions have been wasted. I really want to give him some thing to contribute to.

Tbh, I expected some more mooks

In the end, I just don't want to have to ask someone to look after this enemy turtle, or have Waymar's attacks be wasted. Story written over the mechanics gain. Sorry.

But a big part is also that this thing is over acid-lake atm.
1) Tyene's Dispel is just as good as Waymar's.
2) Lightning Lance will make it all but guaranteed he loses either way, by dying or BP. That's the purpose it serves. Even a saved Harm will kill it.
3) It will look fucking amazing for Waymar to essentially activate his Ultra move.

[X] Plan TNE
-[X] In order:
-[X] Tyene: Occular Spell: Dispel Magic and Bestow Curse (-4 on everything).
-[X] Maelor: Voracious Dispelling
-[X] Waymar: Move if necessary to get in range, then Quickened True Strike + Whirling Blade, Power Attacking for 11 and channeling Lightning Lance.
--[X] If he misses, Dany uses one of her Alter Fortunes.
--[X] Note for DP: Should be a +31 hit for 1d10+34+2d6+9d6+30d6 (18-20x2). He gets a Fort save to reduce that 30d6 to 15d6, and then apply Resist 20, once. His CL for channeling electricity spells is 15, so three lances (3d6+10d6 each) in one hit.
-[X] Malarys: Something to lower saves if possible. Streamers if he has nothing level appropriate. If he realizes what is is, he instead recites the tenets of his Faith as a Church Inquisitor of Balerion. Toss a quickened spell if it fails.
-[X] Viserys: Quickened Searing Agonizing Fire Darts, Baleful Polymorph, Celerity, Baleful Polymorph. If Malarys afflicted him with Shaken, use Necrotic Bomb instead of Paindarts.
--[X] If he saves against the second, Dany uses one of her Alter Fortunes.
--[X] Use Baleful Polymorph to a slow-flying bird instead of the usual turtle, as to not make it easier to resist due the molten evil lake.
-[X] Dany: If still a threat, use Reached Harm.
-[X] If BP did work, don't forget to catch it and the gear as they fall. Winter can dive for the staff while someone catches the evil bird.
Updated plan with a few minor details and schroidinger's familiar.

Looks like you've got this one in the bag.

Not sure if you saw it or not, but yesterday DP mentioned that Malarys has a Greater Dispel Magic prepared. You might want to consider having him use that if he doesn't realize he can recite the Djinn to death. It will only be one or two points higher on the Dispel check, but every little bit can help.

So, since we're now at war with the Brazen Throne, I took another look at the things we're going to be fighting.

Giant, Fire – d20PFSRD

Fire Giants have fifteen HD.

And our Heart Tree are grown as follows:
Heart Tree: 16 HD
1 Secondary Effect: 24 HD
2 Secondary Effects: 36 HD
3 Secondary Effects: 54 HD

A mere four Fire Giants gives us more than the required amount for a full Tier 3 Heart Tree. o_O Oh, and they all wear +1 Plate Armor and have +1 weapons.

You know, we had a lot of combat so far in this Plane, and Viserys is pretty close to Level 14. If we can, we might try to convince DP for a level up and finally get Greater Teleport.

Goodbye distance limit and mishaps, hello Sudden Dragon Delivery Service :V

Pretty sure the first spell we learn at 14th level is going to be Blood Wish.

I'm hoping we can convince DP to let us retrain a 3rd level spell into a version of Paragon Surge that works despite Viserys not being a Half-Elf. It would allow us to temporarily grant him an extra Expanded Arcana feat, which would let us add two additional spells to his list of spells known.

Oh well, if our homebrew reality warping can allow us to replicate pretty much anything I'll be happy :p

We need all those spells to carry evermore loot.

It's a re-skinned version of Limited Wish. Instead of an XP cost, we pay temporary Charisma damage.
To compound on that, instead of taking Blood Money and Limited Wish and then abuse restoration to get effective unlimited wishes, we created Blood Wish that does the job already and that gives a more immediate debuff to us during combat so we aren't throwing that spell left and right during combat like it's candy.

Would the enhancement bonus be Strength and Charisma rather than Dexterity and Intelligence?

@Duesal take note. If DP okays it, yet another way for Viserys to munchkin an extra feat for as long as he has third level spells. He'll need pretty much all the extra help he can get in your omake series. :D

@Goldfish, can you edit turn sched to have Garin and Xor free for the Festival days? Poor Garin, left alone in the Riverlands and Xor can't perform on the Arena if he keeps building the Walls.

It would be beautiful. We could cast Quickened Paragon Surge to immediately have any two spells we might need, though the spells would be locked in for the day, no matter how often we cast Paragon Surge.

Surprise Aberration? Surprise Invoke the Cerulean Sign!

Surprise Wall of Force? Surprise Disintegrate!

Etc.

I think everyone is going to be able to attend the Festival. We have Richard and Viserys actually slotted in because they are going to be more involved through the festivities of the day, I guess? Viserys because he's King, and Richard because Viserys is Viserys.

Instead of the name Paragon Surge how about something like "Bloodline Awakening"?

I think he will allow us to keep the feat only while the spell is active.

If DP does let us learn a version of Paragon Surge, what do ya'll think about retraining Deep Slumber to pick it up? Deep Slumber has been really useful over the years, but it's going to see less and less use as time goes on. And if we need it badly enough, we could always cast Paragon Surge to temporarily relearn it, or use Greater Shadow Enchantment to duplicate the effect.

Nevermind, you did say what you wanted to replace it with.

I dunno... do we want to cast a sixth level spell every time we want to replicate a third?

We'll clean up the altered version of the turn plan once it's clear when we get back to SD. There's plenty of wiggle room that Garin and Xor will both be free.

Viserys had it listed because he's an over organized workaholic. If those days weren't protected, he'd have tried to do something else in between. His "job" during the festival is to go and festival (and probably give a speech at some point). And Richard goes wherever Viserys goes.

How often do we really use it, though? And if we have Paragon Surge, we would be casting a 3rd level spell that would in turn let us cast the actual Deep Slumber spell.

And if we were going to use Greater Shadow Enchantment to duplicate the effect, we wouldn't actually need to use Deep Slumber. There are more advanced options, like the 4th level Forgetful Slumber or 5th level Touch of Slumber.

We cleared it up, they will have no problem with us capturing it for sacrifice, but we need to make clear it's for sacrifice, because they don't approve of enslaving genies, out of some idea that enslaving one genie, make you more inclined to enslave other genies including them.

Yeah, I get that, just got confused by DP's reply to the post, which asked if sacrifices to the OGs are no bueno in their book. and he'd said they'd frown upon it.
