Makes sense, because preparing or casting 'Tongues' stilled and silent would just be showing off.Huh, could be. I had interpreted that to mean he had cast a Telepathy spell.

So, divine metamagic confirmed? He was showing off, after all he did not have the most impressive showing in the fight, so subtly demonstrating some of his own skills would not go amiss.
I don't think the Heart Tree does.

And even if it does, we can make Sunlight one of the secondary effects with little problem.
Alright then, Sunlight as one of the secondary effects it is.A weirwood does indeed need sunlight whether you carve a face into it or not.
Could it be provided via its own Hallow?A weirwood does indeed need sunlight whether you carve a face into it or not.
It also needs water, and a constant supply of CO2 that needs to take from somewhere.
Could it be provided via its own Hallow?
@Duesal They can just capture the sacrifices and we will grow it for them, too.
Besides sunlight, what else would, or wouldn't, need to be magically provided?
Obscuring Mist maybe? Air and Water. And maybe that soil spell Vee uses to make stuff grow fast. Alter it so that it basically makes the place fertile. Altered Obscuring mist to make it so that it provides an atmosphere and a daylight spell....you know this is starting to sound like we're making a little Avalon in the Plane of Earth. It also needs water, and a constant supply of CO2 that needs to take from somewhere.

We could just take the Children of the Forest to meet the Xorn and see what they think of what a Heart Tree would need to survive in the Dimwell Delving.Besides sunlight, what else would, or wouldn't, need to be magically provided?
That would require DP to decide whether Daylight is sufficient to grow plants. It doesn't hurt creatures hurt by sunlight, so ...

I know. And the Daylight description states it doesn't, so, it's not fully equivalent to sunlight. But if that's a conceptual quality of 'sun' that's missing from this spell or something else, that's for the GM to decide. I think.Hurting creatures hurt by sunlight is an enormous advantage in combat against certain creatures. Like vampires.
Eh we can just tell them it acts as a teleport station for us allowing us to trade with them more easily. And in return for that and maintaining the place they get to enjoy the secondary effects of the tree.Keep in mind they might not even be interested in cashing in on their own Heart Tree for ages since it'd put them in our debt again.
Plants need light because that's the catalyst for photosynthesis. That's why the right lamps with the correct wavelenght will work just fine.
Vampires and such need the sun to be harmed/destroyed, not just because it's light, but because it's the sun.
