My takeaway from that module was that flying cities are dumb and you're inviting disaster when they fall from the sky.

More importantly though, while it doesn't inconvenience Viserys, it would be mighty inconvenient for all the normal people who live in SD. I mean, we can have a small flying island with a castle on it, but it's kinda terrible to tell all the merchants in SD who own sailing ships that they are SOL, only flying ships are worthwhile now.
Not to mention how it would impact foreign trade, when most people probably don't have a merchant fleet of flying ships.

Fine, but we're getting a big ice box to chill food, or several if we can manage it. We're planning on building the world's grandest fortress (if not to the stupidly massive proportions of Harrenhall). That means we'll need a significant upgrade to the kitchens.I'm not sure about the utility of a large refrigerator for us. It's greatest use is in food preservation, which we already have a massive advantage in with a chest of purification. Unless there is a more obvious means of profiting from it that I'm missing, a small ice box to chill food as part of preparation, and blue ice goblets and serving bowls would be a better value.
I just want to point out that Harrenhall is smaller than any of the Five Forts at Yi Ti.We're planning on building the world's grandest fortress (if not to the stupidly massive proportions of Harrenhall)
Ah. Well, we can't leave a challenge like that unanswered, now can we?I just want to point out that Harrenhall is smaller than any of the Five Forts at Yi Ti.
We don't have a fleet of flying ships yet.
Important distinction.
@Takesis has the right of it. If the selkies want to chill, they can go to the public bath house. Seriously, a chilly pool open for all citizens (yes including the selkies) strikes me as the perfect solution. SD must live up to the hype of world capital!
Ah. Well, we can't leave a challenge like that unanswered, now can we?
Stupidly massive proportions it is, only our project won't beggar a kingdom because we can pay for the damn thing.
I'm really looking forward to getting those wards from Bloodraven.
@DragonParadox, who would we need to study First Men wards? Lya is an obvious answer, but could Waymar help? What feats would we need to build wards like that for ourselves?
By the way, who gets the Runestaff of Charming now? Tyene? Lya? Maelor?
That's why it's perfect. Capitalize on that innate talent.

Well shit. I guess Lya's the default since she's the only one of our party who can use it, but it very much doesn't fit her style. :/It would be wasted on Maelor since he has at will charm person as an invokation and does not have the spell-slots to use charm monster. Tyene on the other hand has divine not arcane magic so she can't use it.
It just needs an Arcane spellslot and Maelor'll get stronger soon enough. I'm inclined to keep it in reserve for him when he gets access to level 3 spells.

We could potentially sell it or give it as a gift, but that leaves a terrible taste in my mouth. Either way, I want to hang on to it.
@DragonParadox, what does it take to be able to craft a Runestaff?
Maelor's Charm invocation is Person and Monster in one. That's why it's perfect. Capitalize on that innate talent.
But more seriously, with Maelor being sent out on quests with Glyra, a weapon like this would be very useful for him. He can tame the next monster he finds. @DragonParadox, who can wield the Runestaff of Charming? I know Lya can, but what about Maelor or Tyene?
