[X] Agree, swear by the Many Faced God (Truth)

Plot hook? Plot hook. She wouldn't have approached us if she wanted to sell us out and it doesn't look like she wants to hire an assassin, at least not to kill someone, if her protestations against killing in the temple are anything to go by. Might be wrong though. Still, this sounds interesting.

DnD magic is unreliable as shit isn't it?

Really, I'm having trouble coming up with magic that's more unreliable than DnD, other than the Winds and Warp of warhammer.
Not really. We are just weak.
[X] Agree, swear by the Many Faced God (Lie, Bluff DC 20)
Keep in mind we have 45% chance of failing here. And failing could very well mean she sounds the alarm.
[x] Explain that you are not an assassin
-[x] Swear on our life that our intent is not to kill.
How does this help us? Especially the later part? She seemed to believe us already that we aren't here to kill.

[x] Agree, swear by the Many Faced God (Truth)

Don't you guys want to meet what's possibly another magic user? Anyway, let's see how this goes.

I feel like this will bite us in the ass. Maybe drawing the attention of the God itself. Oh well.

I think swearing by the many faced god might have more consequences since it might be accepting him as our actual god. Since gods actually have and give power (see faceless men).

[x] Agree to meet her
-[x] Explain that you are not an assassin, but might still be able to help

I don't think it's that easy, just means we respect his name.

And he isn't that bad. I think.

And it bears reminding she is helping us because she believes us to be a Faceless Man. Coming clear on that means she has significantly less reason to stick her neck out for us.

Swearing by the Many Faced God my bring his unnecessary attention on us. That is why i want to avoid involving gods that may or may not be too fond of us.

Think you might be getting a little to worried mate.

As people swear all the time by the gods and nothing like that ever happens.

The many faced god is obviously evil neutral.

Evil because his priest are joyous murderer and neutral because he isn't out to destroy everything for shit and gigle and neither does he follow a set of law.

I'm honestly not seeing the joy. They kill when asked and paid.

Nerull - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Neutral evil.

"
Nerull's clerics are feared throughout the lands as cold, calculating murderers. Named clerics of He Who Revels in the Slaying of the Living include Delglath, Jipzinker, Andrade Mirrius, Guiliana Mortidus, and Nezmajen. They are secretive and often solitary. When not in disguise, they dress in the same rust-red hue as the bones of their god.

And they kill for their god. The faceless kill when paid for whatever purpose their patrons have, fair or foul. I suppose you could consider them Evil if you considered all killing an act of evil but if that is the case pretty much all the named characters in ASOIAF are Evil.

They kill for their god. Remuneration is secondary.

Faceless Men

"For a price, the guild will agree to kill anyone in the world, considering this contract to be a sacrament of their god. The price is always high or dear, but within the means of the person if they are willing to make the sacrifice."

Neutral would not have his priest kill for him.

Other way around. They kill when asked, for the purposes of their patrons, and they consider death not just murder sacred. That is not Evil in the "come to the warm and toasty Lower Planes" way that is just an alien mindset that is not concerned with the beginnings of things only the endings.
