I can suggest "Making Shit Up" and "Something I Just Came Up With" as fantastic sources on pretty much any topic.
Worked so far, even if the numbers will propably be re-balanced a few more times before final release.
Issue is more that I'm not even sure what would come into an infernal siegetrain, no stats, spells or CR-values to make even vague comparisons too.

Im just assuming that Hell must have some serious long-ranged firepower, simply because they are one of the big powers of the multiverse and have spend the last eternity at war, so it would be silly for them not to have some form of Hellfire cannons, mortars and various other stuff that helps them kill abyssal hordes more efficiently.

Of all the infernal armies, they likely have the most precise weaponry, since they are the most concerned with preserving their own strength.

Not like Daemons, who would be Skaven level of callous with their WMDs and just nuke their own troops along with their enemies.

Interlude MXLVIII: Airforce Report on the Westerlands
Airforce Report on the Westerlands

First Day of the Fifth Month 294 AC

House Banefort of Banefort
Not only did the House surrender with all hands upon being approached by the Moonchaser, before a hail could even be made, but they also delivered what could only be called a tribute for Imperial clemency. Well, it could also be called a bribe, but best not to linger overlong on that fact in regards to what could otherwise be named a leal imperial citizen. Lord Quenten Banefort delivered to the captain an ash-grey grimoire said to contain the spells of the Hooded Man, the dreaded founder of their House.

Given that it seemed to be bound in the flayed and tanned skin of giants long vanished from this corner of the world the captain was inclined to trust the source. In addion to spells of death magic fit for powerful necromancer the book also contained rituals that could be cast by anyone versed in Low Magic so long as they could read the runes of the First Men. Given how dangerous some of those rituals may be in the hands of the general citizenry it might be wise to not only reward Lord Banefort for the gift but also warn him against using them lightly.

Or don't, that could be fun to deal with.

Gained Rituals:

Level 3:
Level 4:
House Brax of Hornvale
House did not give way until the walls of Hornvale Keep were under bombardment. The decision was made by the master at arms while the lord was busy praying for deliverance. The lady of the keep was reasonably welcoming under the circumstances, perhaps oddly so given that her husband was in the ship's brig. Given that she is more than twenty years his junior one might suspect theirs was not a marriage of love. The Lord's heir, a young man named Tytos, tried to make the best of a bad lot, but it was clear that he is not far off from his father when it comes to the notion that the Imperium is of Hell's own making.

House Broom of Broken Crest
Lady Broom is a widow, one of the first nobles to have been bound with the Lannister enchantments, at least by her own account. The language she used to describe her erstwhile lord is not one that can rightfully be repeated in official documentation. She was entirely forthright and helpful as could be under the circumstances. We had the most trouble gaining custody of the Golden Shields present in the keep, whom she wanted to hang, not only for their place in maintaining her enchantment but also accusing them to stealing and other abuses upon her hospitality. We could not escertain if that was the case to any reasonable standard so they have been taken into custody.

House Crakehall of Crakehall
Lord Roland Crakehall surrendered after hails and assurances that his family would be safe. He did not seem happy to be surrendering to Imperial ships though he was rather thrown to meet the captain of the Dawnstar and discuss the finer points of Imperial politics as relates to all manner of topics with him, he seems resigned to losing land and is now only concerned with mitigating the damage.

House Falwell of Freeford
The keep surrendered after one hail, though there was a minor incident with the maester's tower burning with the maester still inside. The man was apparently virulently opposed to the Imperium and all its works, so that was not itself surprising, though Lord Falwell does insist that the Citadel owes him damages for his keep.

House Farman of Faircastle
Surrendered with all hands as soon as they saw the Wyverns on the horizon. The lord is apparently interested to traveling to Sorcerer's Deep for trade purposes and is glad to 'have such a fine way to get there' though he thinks the circumstances are regrettable. He brought two of his nieces along to get the shine of the new court of which concern is doubtless too high for a mere officer like myself to concern himself. The worst harm to come to anyone in the keep was when one of them lost her lunch due to the sight of the world rushing past the Duskrunner.

House Foote of Stormfield
Lord Herman Foote not only lowered his banners at once but he was furious at his enchantment, demanding that he watch Tywin Lannister hang, have his privates fed to the dogs his stomach filled with hot stones and all manner of other gruesome and often mutually contradicting torments culminating with 'may his soul burn in hellfire'. It soon transpired that part of the reason for that was that he had found a vein of True Silver in his lands which he was forced to sign over to Lannister management for a pittance while under geas.

House Jast of Highridge
The recently appointed Lord Jast did not surrender until one of his towers was burning from alchemical bombs. He was also confirmed not to have been under geas but rather loyal to the Lannisters and very trusting in their supposed might. He thought until the last moment that he would be reinforced from Castamere or Casterly Rock not matter what was said to him.

House Kenning of Kayce
Did not surrender because upon the Moonchaser reaching the keep they found it deserted not only of the highborn but also of servants or the garrison. Whatever befell the place must have been sudden for the keep itself seems eerily as if it is just waiting for its inhabitants to return, from rumpled bed sheets to ovens already warming for the morrow.

Divination Report (Classified): Investigations by the House of Mirrors show the entire population of the keep walking into the sea and drowning under the cover of unnatural fog. Deep One involvement is assured.

What do you do about these Houses?

OOC: I'm going to stop here both because it is roughly the middle of the update and because the last one is an odd enough roll that you guys might want to send actual companions there to help handle it.

Also daemons are creatures of oblivion and nihilism, so they would skew towards the WMD side of things as opposed to what most people would consider siege. I could see daemons using some kind of unstable magical tech powered by the souls of their enemies as they scream into oblivion, you know for the added morale damage.

Made a few additional edits to the chapter, DP.

I'm suddenly a Banefort fan. That dude knows how to ingratiate himself properly. Interesting reports on the Westerland lords so far, though the Kayce incident is unfortunate. I guess the Deep Ones wanted a snack?

Aren't Daemons the only ones with actually finite numbers?
IIRC, it's only Demons which are actually infinite in number due the infinite nature of the Abyss and it's continual efforts to birth new Demons everywhere possible. Daemons and Devils are technically finite, though the mechanisms to rebirth those slain outside of their home Planes or to create entirely new ones are so effective that their numbers might seem limitless.

The forces of Hell are only able to keep up with the Demons in the Blood War due to superior leadership and strategy.

Aren't Daemons the only ones with actually finite numbers?

The Demons live in the Infinite Abyss, they are endless, and endlessly fighting each other. I'm more uncertain about Abadon, what is between the elite armies of Hell and the endless Hordes of the Abyss? All things told I would say they lean more on the Demon than the Devil side. they are representatives of among the other things the futility of war and numbers help with that.

@DragonParadox Are the Kennings bodies found floating and recoverable? It just stated "they were all drowned"?

They all walked into the sea never to be seen again.

[X] Turn over everything in Kayce. You want documents, evidence of activities, and the bodies. Using Speak With Dead on recovered bodies, using stone speaking in places of interest in the Keep, Hindsight, general divination on anything pulled to the service from other investigation and anything else assumed experts might find useful that they could not do themselves.
-[X] Request the Githzerai envoys' aid and for their expertise and discretion on this delicate matter.

-[X] Apparently they were Deep-napped. That's concerning, and beyond irritating.

Think it might be worth asking the Githzerai to have a look, too? A whole town just up and drowning itself is not a minor effort, unless they were all purported by something like those things we saw when we time traveled to the ancient Iron Isles. If their is any recoverable evidence, it's probably psionic in nature.

Devil Commissars:
Ashmede and the likes of them, present mostly to drive the fear of Asmodeus into any Devil thinking that that His hand might not reach to the edges of Hell's engagements.
Aside from that they can also act as champions and add some damage, physical and moral to their attached army.

Infernal Siege Company:
A company of siege engines and accompanying engineers and mages. Aside from those working directly with the machines the engines are always guarded by squads of Orthons, ensuring that any teleport-based strike against the weapons is a one-way trip into death.
From extremly precise weapons like upscaled and long-ranged variants of the Hellfire Crossbow the size of ballistae, to hand-carriable bombs for the attached army's most mobile units and to mortars shooting packets of unnatural fire and ice straight from Cania's laboratories deep into the hostile ranks, the siege company brings death from afar in all sizes, ranges and elements.

[X] Plan The Imperator Giveth and the Imperator Taketh

-[X] House Banefort of Banefort
--[X] Send a message to the Banefort that you appreciate the gift and are looking forward to meeting Lord Banefort in person. Send the Scholarium primer on restricted magic along so that he knows and understands why this knowledge is considered dangerous and forbidden to be used without tight oversight.
--[X] Make a mental note to do something nice for the Baneforts. Enthusiasm will always be rewarded.

-[X] House Brax of Hornvale
--[X] House Brax will be branded traitors and their fief seized. Resisting the crown does not become legal just because you suck at it.
--[X] The Master at Arms will be granted stewardship for the time being in recognition of him being more level-headed and having the standing with the garrison to keep the place going for now. You will decide on what to do with the keep later.

-[X] House Broom of Broken Crest
--[X] Assure her that the behavior of the Golden Shields in her keep will be thoroughly investigated and punished in accordance with the law.
--[X] Try to find a scapegoat to hang for her goodwill among the not-geased Golden Shields. If that can't be arranged, send a diplomat to smooth things over.

-[X] House Crakehall of Crakehall
--[X] He made the right call and has nothing to fear from our reign. // I'm not aware of any Targ loyalist houses in the area who might demand land back, so he should be fine.

-[X] House Falwell of Freeford
--[X] Ask Marwyn and Qyburn for a few Maesters to be sent to Freeford as free labor to fix the damages. You are certain they will find plenty Maesters in need of some physical labor away from the Citadel.

-[X] House Farman of Faircastle
--[X] Send a note to Rhealla to give him a warm welcome and to keep him away from Walder Frey.

-[X] House Foote of Stormfield
--[X] Tell him that Tywin Lannister will get a fair trial as any citizen of the Imperium is entitled to and that you would be very pleased to have him there as a witness, so that you can add common robbery to the charges levied against him.
--[X] As for the mine, he will regain the full rights to it, but you are also very interested in exploiting the mine on a large scale in return for him getting a cut of the profits. You will send some people from the Iron Bank and a Shaitan expert to assess the value of the mine and make him a good deal.

-[X] House Jast of Highridge
--[X] It's treason then. Seize the keep.

-[X] House Kenning of Kayce
--[X] Dispatch Inquisition investigators to try and find any details and leads. Qyburn will also go along to look for any psionic effects that might explain the events or that might pose lingering danger, then leave behind a force of undead to guard the place until the place can be deemed safe enough to send new inhabitants.
--[X] Turn over everything. You want documents, evidence of activities, and the bodies. Using Speak With Dead on recovered bodies, using stone speaking in places of interest in the Keep, Hindsight, general divination on anything pulled to the service from other investigation and anything else assumed experts might find useful that they could not do themselves.
--[X] Request the Githzerai envoys' aid and for their expertise and discretion on this delicate matter.
--[X] Make Ser Kennos of Kayce part of the investigation, but keep a tight eye on him in case that there are any enthrallments at work that might affect him due to his blood ties.

Edit: Added the Kayce actions from @Crake to my own.

I integrated Crake's plan into mine cause it was more thought out in response to the mindflayers

E: just saw Azel's plan, it was way better than mine , so never mind
