Ok. Look. I know what you are thinking, but descending from the heavens on our otherworldly chariot wrapped in golden light is not that over the top, all things considered. Neither are the chorus. Or the golden aurora.
I was thinking of something along the lines of a casting Legendary Proportions and Starmantle on Balerion and riding the now Colossal++ sized glowing murderlizard while Viserys himself is rocking a Greater Angelic Aspect and Invoke Deity (using his own Law and Knowledge aspects from Divine Source).

First impressions are important, after all.

I love the idea of Viserys invoking his own awesomeness here.

Wouldn't be the same if I didn't post the obligatory ^^^

Add in a Divine Presence, with beyond mortality he'd get the full +15 intimidation bonus against anyone who doesn't worship him. :V

Note that it's a personal buff, so he'd get that making intimidation checks against the whole city while flying above it.

edit: if we actually get close enough to anyone for it to take effect, I think Crown of Glory would be worth using as well. At Viserys buffed CL and spell DC everyone with less than 8 HD within something around 200ft would be alll but crushed under an aura of "terrible perfection and righteousness" emanating from him. It also does this in a way that (arguably) side steps most mental defenses, so we would most likely still be able to use it through whatever basic precautions they've cooked up in Westeros.

Normally, this is where I'd get all esoteric and quote the "On Earth as it is in Heaven" line but considering Hellven, that might not be as effective.

Instead, "On Earth as it is in Sorcerer's Deep" sounds like a winning line.

"What are we going to do about all this earthly sin and vice gripping the capital! The court is full of godless heathens! And what about the sanctity of our souls?!"

Mirror Vision: "Let them all eat cake."

"Pah! This is how decadent and hedonistic the court is! They are out of touch with us ordinary folk!"

Viserys: "No, that was the tagline for my next Public Works Program. Everyone gets dessert at the bread doles, now."

"I for one welcome our new draconic overlord."

"Martyn! You traitor! But what about salvation!?"

Viserys: "You can have cake in the Imperial Afterlife, too."

"Sorry, that sounds like a good deal to me, Septon."

"You act as though you can simply BUY the good will of the people with your decadence and sacrilege?!"

Viserys: 🤷‍♂️ "That's just the will of the market forces, good man. If your Gods and faithful can't understand simple economics, how can you expect to safeguard one measly soul?"

So do you guys think the Seven will let this pass without intervention? Their chosen are borked, but they're still a major god.

I'm not expecting a sudden angelic host, but something like a huge sign to their worshippers unambiguously denouncing Viserys would be a problem.

I think that they giving us a reason to delete their power and influence is actually good for us.

Do I expect the Faith Militant to go gallivanting through the realm without the aiding and abetting and active support of the Lords? No, and we have done much to ensure that is plainly impossible.

But the Seven still have Outsiders. Possibly a lot of fucking Outsiders. And while they are facing external threats, I can't really imagine what Viserys is planning on doing isn't justification enough to scrounge together as much of their resources as they can and a couple of heavy hitters to try to strongarm us while we're still several steps down the ladder from "incorrigbly unstoppable".

I see said strongarming going about as well as it did for Mammon, by the way, but that doesn't mean someone in their position can afford not to do so.

Personally I'm flattered if the Seven send an angel army against us.

We are a bigger danger towards them than fiends, the Deep Ones, a Fey court willing to twist free will, and the coming of Winter.

A good chef must always offer variety, and the Old Gods are always more than willing for angel food.

A Fey Court with the power of Gods camped out and put up stakes in something we ostensibly claim as our own, without in actual fact having rulership over it.

We murdered them all with their backs turned when it became clear they would not negotiate. That's not "tried to harm", or "threatened". We never issued any threats.

We investigated. Then we stuck a non-euclidean shaped knife into their kidneys. Just like we've done to others before them.

That seems like a trend, don't it?

I'm always down for humiliating the Seven/Chosen but there is still Danielle (and Brandon), the Crone chosen, and the Stranger chosen as potential high level hostile clerics. Do keep in mind that until Lucan died, he and the Stranger chosen were the only ones who didn't die as part of the Old Gods' stress ball therapy session.

Smith doesn't seem like he has the tools to oppose us, no pun intended.

The Stranger chosen is an issue, and I will stop at nothing to locate them and place limits on their activities.

Crone we don't know much.

Danelle might never come back from the Feywild, or she might but it could be a hundred years from now. She has a guide, so she'd probably figure out how to find her way back to the right time period, it's not like we didn't have a clever idea like that recently, and even Moonsong figured out weird timey wimey wibbly wobbly with just her natural feylogic.

Father might not have replaced his Chosen yet, and they won't have built up the steam to do anything yet, unless the person he picked was already a powerful spellcaster of some sort.

Brienne is our vassal.

And the Mother has not rolled the dice yet.

Unfortunately, @DragonParadox has cited that Dispater has no real recourse against the Seven.

They are Greater Deities, and he's just divine enough to have similar control over his own realm as a God would, with most of his actual power coming from the derived authority Asmodeus grants him.

Remember: Infinite devils, but not infinite leverage.

Do we have the last known locations of all the Seven's chosen?

Because feeding them to the OG feels like karmic justice, and I'm kinda down for that.

Edit: wait, I'm confused. Is the 7 actually gonna be opposing us? I thought we had a temple of them in the Deep.

Edit 2: I mean, as long as they still have followers after the Reconquest I don't think they are gonna be hindering us anytime soon.
