btw way speaking of Glyra are we crafting Hijinks this month or next?
That is an Artifact @Azel came up with that is well beyond our current ability to craft.

It would be a great piece of loot for Glyra, though. I hope @DragonParadox introduces it at some point, since it's so thematically appropriate for her. I expect it would go out of its way to be found by her.

ah sorry didn't realise that. can Lya make it after another mythic rank or would it still be to hard?

Very unlikely. Artifacts can't just be casually crafted if you have the appropriate caster level and feats. She could make something similar, but without the proper conceptual or metaphysical association with mischief and trickery, and likely some exceptionally rare reagents, it would not be an Artifact, just a high level magic item. Lya doesn't really have the time to devote to that sort of project, either, since she is by far our most powerful crafter and more often occupied with more strategically vital works.

Hijinks read to me like it was the creation of a god, probably one with the Trickery and Luck Domains within its portfolio.

@Crake, @Azel, can y'all add this to your votes?

Not a particularly exciting level up for her, but it does contribute to her killiness, making her even more suitable as a potential mate for Richard.

Huh, 'killiness' isn't flagged by Skynet as an incorrectly spelled word. I find that worrisome.

  • [X] Smile at your niece indulgently while patting her head. "Yes, obviously I can do that. But I won't force him to. How about you show him how little you think of other people's opinions by trying to do something together with him that he feels comfortable with?" You consider your next words carefully. "If that works out, you can probably eventually convince him to do practically anything you want, including dancing with you. Take it from a brother speaking with experience."
-[X] Politely offer Elia a dance while waiting for the others. "How do you feel?" You expect knowing her murderers, her son's murderers, are dead or soon to be dead, is a balm delivered not a moment too soon, but this is more important than revenge. "Are you happy here? I needn't ask if Rhaenys is, but you're not just putting on a satisfied front for her sake? I don't want you to force yourself to do... anything. Not after what you've been through."
-[X] Smile wryly. "Essentially: Is there anything I can do to help?"
[X] Tell her she has to respect Jons wishes if he does not want to dance with her. Even if she thinks his reasons are silly, it is not nice to make people do things against their will.
-[X] That being said, you will ask Tyene to have a chat with him about what bastardy does and does not mean at the Imperial court, and offering him dance lessons with some magical help if he changes his mind.

This level should give her access to level 5 Maneuvers, if I counted correctly.
You could switch out a low-level Maneuver for something new, like Grounding Shot or Piercing Gale. THe former is useful against flyers, the latter would be an area-option if she ever needs one (say against swarms or many lesser foes).

Killiness isn't flagged but "conscientious objection" probably is.

Is there a Psionics version of Identify we can get from the Gith? With more psionics loot in the future I don't like being utterly helpless in identifying it and either letting stuff languish or sacrificing something we could have made better use out of.
There is an equivalent ritual, but you guys do not have an experienced psion to use it yet
@DragonParadox, does Qyburn qualify as experienced enough for this?

Yep, you're right. Thanks for pointing that out.

What about Focused Solar Lance? It's similar to Grounding Shot, but more useful against non-flyers. I also like the idea of Mereth pinning someone to a wall with an arrow.

I was under the impression that Lya could craft minor artifacts beginning with her next Mythic rank. If we should invest the time and money to make a meme artifact for Glyra is another question, but I was definitely designing it under the assumption that we could make it ourselves.

He does yes

Part MMMDCCXXI: Of Heirs and Honors
Of Heirs and Honors

Twenty-Fourth Day of the Fourth Month 294 AC

You smile at your niece indulgently, holding back the urge to pat her head. She has recently decided she is too old for that sort of thing. "Yes, obviously I can do that, but I won't force him to. How about you show him how little you think of other people's opinions by trying to do something together with him that he feels comfortable with?" You consider your next words carefully. "If that works out, you can probably eventually convince him to do practically anything you want, including dancing with you. Take it from a brother speaking from experience."

The girl considers your words carefully, disappointment shifting to acceptance across her face. "Welllll, alright then. It makes sense that we should do other things together I guess, for when we get married."

"For what?" her mother asks, looking halfway between exasperated and amused. Obviously this sort of out of the blue decision making is common enough to Rhaenys not to be overly concerning.

"Well it's family tradition, isn't it? And it makes more sense than the other way, where you have to find someone and do silly things to get them to like you like the Saelot girls are tittering about all the time."

You briefly contemplate Jon's reaction if his half-sister had actually shared this particular 'plan'. She certainly had not done it else he would not even be in the room. "Well you have a lot of time to think on such matters, perhaps wait until you are older to decide."

"But I'll be silly then. Aren't you listening?" Rhaenys huffs. "Is there a spell to make you not sigh and titter over boys?"

"Alright sweetheart, you asked His Grace enough questions for today," Elia interjects before you have to come up with an answer to that. "Go talk Jon if you want."

In thanks you offer your godsister a dance while waiting for the others. "How do you feel?" You expect knowing her murderers, her children's murderers, are dead or soon to be dead is a balm delivered not a moment too soon, but this is more important than revenge. "Are you happy here? I needn't ask if Rhaenys is, but you're not just putting on a satisfied front for her sake are you? I don't want you to force yourself to do... anything. Not after what you've been through."

"Am I happy..." her gaze grows distant looking over your shoulder, but seeing something far different than the hall around you. "When I was in the Red Keep I pined for Dorne, for comfortable familiar things, for safety. Now it would feel too small, like I was running away from my life and back into the realm of my girlhood. I am obviously not a girl anymore as that one," she nods towards her daughter chatting happily with her half-bother, "reminds me every day."

Her words grow softer, almost hesitant: "Now that both of them are dead I can stop worrying about them, irrational as it may have been to ever do so behind these walls." There is no need to ask who she is referring to. From what you had heard The Mountain died in the dirt, and Lorch drowning in his own blood. "I can't quite manage to stoke the embers all the way to happy most days, but the low flame of contentment is there," your godsister finishes as the lively Dornish galliard fades.

Once the music and merriment has ended you move on to more solemn mattes, the giving of awards to living heroes and to those fallen on the Dauntless and on the other ships during the Fall of Ymeri. Thankfully none of the great ships fell, though one of the Moonchasers came closer even than the Dauntless on the final approach.

"You know," Lya says softly as she stands by your side to watch the line of returning airmen. "If you had asked me years ago which of my works I would think most likely to bring war upon a god I would not have answered 'anti-gravity engines'."

"It goes to show what artifice and ingenuity can do when joined by valor and skill," you reply, loudly enough to be heard by the other guests. This is a moment about honoring the realm's heroes true, but it is also about those heroes and their deeds being known and heard far and wide.

  1. 3x Wyverns Type-B,
  2. 7x Wyverns Type-A,
  3. 2x Manticores
  4. 9x Heralds
13 of the remaining ships requiring the use of Make Whole (not including the Dauntless)

What honors and prizes do you give for the returning airmen and the families of the fallen?

OOC: I hope the transition is not too jarring. I could not think of how to make dances flow more smoothly into the ceremony.

Same here. We were always just waiting for that third Mythic Rank so she can start Artifact Crafting. Doubly so now that she can cast arcane spells of the Ninth Circle.

I hope she gets that Mythic Rank soon.

RIP, brave legionnaires, but not a bad trade in all honesty. Their sacrifice ensured Ymeri's fall.

I just wish we had time to hunt down and eat that Wayward Herald.
