Considering that Viserys is bonded to Balerion; I'm curious if Viserys felt something strange was happening when Balerion was possessed.

@DragonParadox, can we retroactively buff Qyburn if the Snare is breached or should I work this out now? We kinda need @Goldfish for him, as he wanted to make gear and a spell list for our non-euclidian abomination, but I can also put something together with him as is.

His gear is being worked on this month, except for stuff coming directly out of the Armory. He should already have stuff like his Mind Blank. There is a list of his new gear in the thread somewhere. Sorry about forgetting to update his spells.

I told ya we should have eaten him!

Well depending on what happens, yes leaving a big dragon attached to Viserys soul and a very big target sucks, funny in all our preparations though we still weren't anal enough to figure protecting our guards even more insanely then they were.

Honestly though, you got to respect someone who looks at our plans and goes "you know what, to hell with it, I'm going to try and possess the dragon the size of a whale covered in enough protective magical protections and amulets that's doing so is the equivalent of banging my bare naked head on a brick wall to make a window instead of dealing with that clusterfuck."

To be fair with how crazy we prepare shit any enemy not able to go this far is someone that doesnt deserve to be called our enemy at this point. Just loot or dragonfood.

@DragonParadox, we should be able to get Viserys there in 3 rounds at most, using Lyas body in SD and a mold as relays.

Yeah, that works

Yes.

@Azel, @DragonParadox, here's a link to Qyburn's planned gear loadout.

A Sword Without a Hilt: A Song of Ice and Fire/D&D 3.5 Crossover

A Sword Without a Hilt: A Song of Ice and Fire/D&D 3.5 Crossover In a world where magic has all but guttered to ashes, becoming the fare of charlatans, petty conjurers, and ragged illusionists, a mighty change is stirring. From small and fragile sparks a great blaze will be reborn and men will...

Wasn't anticipating him being involved in combat so soon, else I probably would have been a bit more on the ball about getting his character sheet updated.

My fault for dragging him here to be honest, but it's all hands on deck and he isn't exactly harmless, so...

Besides. What he gets from the armoury is already plenty. He can greet anyone cracking the Snare with a present of a targeted Dispel, 2x Enervation and a Heightened Decerebrate, all of which lands simultaneously in his first round.

Wonder if this is Cos doing a pre-emptive strike having figured out some of what we are doing or something more....Interesting.

How does that work?
I have only glanced over his sheet I admit, but I didn't see anything for extreme action economy in there.
Cast Fission during buffing, so that his second mind can cast the Psionic Dispel.
Use the Belt of Battle to get a Standard Action to cast Enervation.
Use his own Standard Action and Weave the Sources to cast a spell and activate a power simultaneously and spend an additional 2nd level slot to treat the Decerebrate as a 9th level power.

This is umder the assumption that the Belt of Battle does not affect his secondary mind.

He can only do this once a day, but it sure is a nice alpha strike.
The only thing missing is Celerity to squeeze in one more casting of Decerebrate.

Alternatively, switch one Decerebrate for using Split Ray to cast two Disintegrates with one action, using a move action to regain psionic focus.

His action economy is unpleasant.

Wonder if it's our good pal Abraxo's doing.
To try and take over/corrupt/mutate Balerion into being a Demonic avatar would fit the bill for "hitting where it hurts" considering the soul-connection with Viserys...

Not to mention, he's plain OP as a base for any changes and a great body to possess regardless.

@DragonParadox, ya haven't answered when I asked before, how many Demiplanes did Viserys set up total? Just the 10 voted-on?

I am rather inclined to continue the summoning until the very end of the month y'all (and not the 21st as voted), once we're done with this incursion.
Can't have too many sacrifices for something like CoS.
Can't have too many fun incursions to foil, either :V

Mhm, will making more Demiplanes severely impact daily summonjng numbers?
Just how difficult/time-consuming is that process (making D!Planes) IC?
Considering all the shuffling involved with all the stuff shifted between them? Fairly time consuming. But with practice, and liberal use of magic, probably hours?

Enough so that making those ten filled the days assigned.

-[X] Have all Vigilant Briars and Watchmoles who are in range cast their Quickened Dimensional Anchor SLA on Balerion. If none are in range, at least 5 but no more then 10 user their Greater Teleport SLA to get into range. Do not under any circumstances compromise the full coverage of the parameter.
-[X] With the first spell being cast, all assets will receive a general alarm, using the Necrotic Molds and Watchmen creatures to telephatically transmit the alert into the Snare and to SD. The alarm will be for full battle stations and assuming a full and imminent assault by unknown hostiles, assumed to be of extreme threat level.
--[X] This includes launching all air assets currently in Westhaven on a course to the Snare, while all nearby patrols will abort their current patterns and converge to the Snare to render fire support.
--[X] Companions who are not already somewhere else will stand by in SD until more information is available. A small strike team capable of ending the possession can Teleport over at their own discretion, depending on them getting enough people together on short notice to do something against Balerion.
-[X] Use the Fiery Darkenbeasts and Black Brutes to do non-lethal damage to Balerion and force him to land.
-[X] The moment Viserys learns of the attack, he will Greater Planeshift over and direct the response, starting by using Mythic power to cast Mindblank at Balerion to eject the possessor.

Aww :(

No full-month summoning spree then.
Oh well, was worth a try.

I'm not sure what we reasonably could have Viserys be busy with, in a productive manner, for 9 days before the ritual though.

A lot of people voiced lack of want to see Slavers' Bay again, at least in non-report manner, so we can't really send Viserys there.
Lannister-infiltration isn't all that interesting at the stage we are going through...
Maybe misdirect CoS by doing something in-person in Reach? But then again, they could pick up on that easily enough...
R'hlor's assault on Ymeri may profit from Viserys, but I promised to fight against the notion and so I shall.
Fite meh. 👊🤬👊

Mhm. Conundrum-y.
