Anyone remember this?
There is no escape!
There's also this:
"I'm seeing it but I still don't believe it," Garth said in shock to his companion as the two of them hid in the undergrowth near a remote affluent of the Blueburn. "How the hell can there just be dragons here of all things?" he asked in the same tone of stunned disbelief as he watched the two graceful predatory forms cavort through the sky and splash in the river. With great grey wings and delicate fins the two creatures looked equally at home in the water and air.

"Drakes," Arysa corrected him sounding far more serious than usually. "If they were actual dragons I would have started looking into prospects in the Summer Isles."
Silly Arysa. Even the Summer Islands will eventually be diplomatically annexed.

It would be easier to just Mind-blank up and lay low in a planar metropolis in plain sight. Heck, if you stay where you are and don't track mud on the carpet, just make a thumb print here--don't mind the prick of the pin--and sign there, and you only have to check in with a handler with the shiny silver pin once a month.

Do not mind the regular inspections of all lab facilities. The Imperial Revenue Service also noticed some strange discrepancies--you wouldn't happen to have several metric tons of arcane reagents on hand, would you, hmm?

And here I thought the Inquisition was the only thing we mirrored from our world XD

Crakes will to live being slowly sapped by the threads tendency to just fuck off and do random shit while ignoring the big goals, I do not know why, but it makes me so very happy.

Interlude CMXIV: Lore of Distant Realms
Lore of Distant Realms

First Day of the Third Month 294 AC

There were not many things about Mereths' current position that reminded her of that which came before. The blue skies and clear waters of Sorcerer's Deep were a far cry from the swamps of Erebus, the earnest service of young mortal mages like day to night besides the greed and hunger for lore that drove mages into the clutches of Mammon. But somethings were familiar still, pacts to be made and bargains struck, gold to be transmuted into wealth more refined. Even Mammon did not count his greatest treasures as that which glittered, and that was doubly true of her current lord who seemed to value above all else the tools to spread his will and influence ever farther by any means that came to hand.

Granted it could be tedious to deal with the Office of the Treasury when it came to playing guide and guard in other Spheres, though thankfully not as much as it might once have been. They were familiar enough with the Armun Kelisk t not to gawk at the ivory towers and palaces built upon couds, and they were even unshaken in the face of the one they had come here to bargain with, though granted that may have been a case of not recognizing how rare it was for one of the Far Realm to present so congenial and, as far as Mereth could tell, sincere a guise.

She had caught herself running through scenarios of unlikely treachery more than once over the course of the introduction, even though she knew the Djinn would not have allowed this being to acquire such a vast collection of knowledge in the heart of their realm if they had not investigated it far more thoroughly than Mereth could. She might not like the flighty ever-veiled Lords of Air, but the very fact that they had ensured in spite of that nature implied they were quite skilled in noticing threats as a polity.

Old habits had a way of sticking in the mind like bloody nails, fortunately she was getting better at pulling them out.

"One and a half million marks," a strangled voice called out from the youngest of the clerks. Really, they should all have known the total offer by now. This was either someone trying to embarrass a potential rival or an attempt at a jest. Admittedly if it was the latter it was mildly amusing, for that matter there was no reason infighting and intrigues couldn't be just as entertaining.

Perhaps she was starting to appreciate mortals in the abstract and not just in the particular, or mayhap she simply found them easier on the mind knowing the rest of her month would be spent on far more entertaining pursuits.

As she left the tower to the bustling ministrations of wizards, clerks and bankers looking to hook a new client with the transaction Mereth considered the prospect of her second, far more secretive, task. A trade of names for names, those of devils aligned with other archdukes against names of Erebus' denizens, the better to take advantage of Mammon's folly.

What sort of names is Mereth looking for?

I'm not entirely sure where or how to represent this, though.

Personally I want as many Erinyes names as possible, and if it's manageable I'd love a one or two Ice Devils as a cherry on top. Gelugons are great. Barring all that, legion devils are nice as brute force in terrain hostile to regular legionnaires. @Azel probably has a few specifics in mind of devil types to recruit.

Wait, which library was this?

I thought that this was the one sold by the Aberration plant in Armun Kelisk?
