I wonder how many Maesters we'll be able to tempt away from the Citadel just by dangling our library under their noses?

What sort of names is Mereth looking for?

Tbh, I think anything but Erynies.
We have, frankly, enough of them.

They are useful, and a nice way to screw with
Mammon all-aroynd, but they aren't something we can't get in bulk by fleshcrafting the right things on top of each-other nowadays.

@Azel, any ideas?
I'd really rather try for something hurting Mammon other than just more Erynies, but am outta ideas tbh.

@Tomcost, @Goldfish, @DragonParadox I myself was under an impression Odd was in Opaline Vault.
...I may have been led to believe that because in my mind there is an association "OV = books".
That may or may not have come from what I now remember to be a certain "Spire" they hold knowledge in.

Sages and scholars seem more likely to have valuable information or helpful abilities, while also being less likely to be difficult to manage.

My reading comprehension is failing me then, I read this as if the library was in the Opaline Vault.
You were actually correct. I forgot that Odd was in Armun Kelisk.

The Opaline Vault's library is insanely big. We might be able to negotiate a full lore exchange at some point, though.

How does the library system works again?

Because that's some really nice library, specially since we have a tablet that acts as a search engine for it. What was the name of the spell again?

I'd look for some Falxugons or maybe a Phistophilus. They are harder to get then basic combat forms and will be very useful when the Imperial Deity begins to come online.

Until then, IRS or intrigue with them.

IIRC, a lot of the Opaline Vault's library is filled with records stretching back into ancient history, including legal cases and tax filings. I'm sure it's also got a ridiculous amount of lore, too, but the overall size could be somewhat misleading.

OOC? Basically it doesn't, dp claims these numbers matter, but they never really had on-screen.

IC? We have a few magical books that drag up knowledge (Arcana) and (Religion) onto themselves from our archive, getting total of +20 if I'm not wrong possible with them.

We don't have a reliable internet-like library system though, no.
Not even an easy-ish "digital tablet"-like format available freely in the Halls of Knowledge.

[X] Plan: "I'm not too invested and I trust Azel on this"

Hey, Erinyes are all around great. They are loyal and skilled fighters, and more to the point even upon becoming Native Outsiders that's not something that can be reliably produced by the Forges. There's a reason we're bothering with getting new names at all as opposed to just switching over entirely to Forge Creatures.

If there's a devil type you have in mind that'd be more useful then that's alright, but there's no reason for us to deliberately avoid Erinyes just for the sake of it. They are consistently competent vassals in a world rife with Aedons.

@DragonParadox, with the Sages and Scholars choice, any chance at Uniilas? Even if they end up being unrecruitable after a Yss interrogation, that's still plenty of lore and names with each one.

Which choice would this filter under?

I'm not, not really.
But if we have more useful Devils to try and grab, apparently Contract Devils by Azel's reckoning, then we should focus on those, imo - we get Erynies often enough.
We only ever gotten 2 Falxugons, and one of them we sent to PoF.

We have a pretty limited list of names to trade, after all.

It's possible, but it would take one or more good rolls.

Good night guys, see you all tomorrow as we see what devils Viserys steals from Mammon.
One day we will have our own Uniila.

But for now everything to help with the Imperial Deity takes priority.
I'm not, not really.

Azel had me sold the second he brought up the Imperial Deity. That takes absolute priority.

[X] In descending order: Phistophilus, Falxugon, Uniila, Gelugon, Erinyes
-[X] We would pay extra if the Devil in question is known to have some fancy template, such as Hellfire-Creature. Such Devils would not be recruited, but used as research specimens to replicate their templates.

Devils have hellfire, we have wildfyre.

Well, the Inevitables were all killed off, so it's all for the taking anyway.
Exactly my point. With the world being as it is, we have almost a moral obligation to incease universal stability by creating robust legal frameworks to live, die and spend eternity by.

It's pretty much a public service. People should pay us for the privilige of using it!

And they will, that's the scary part. XD
