Would something like fast healing reduce the dc on the heal checks?
He is chasing some sort of psionic knowledge that the Ulitharid kept ludicrously well hidden and referenced it only vaguely in his research notes. What Qyburn does know is that the Elder Brain considers it strictly Verboten and would murder entire colonies over it.There are other ways of doing that, rather than risking one of our top scientis. Isn't there a colony of mindflayer that we can just ask for that knowledge after we improve our relationship with them.
Or just kidnap a random enemy one and just draw out its information under a zone of truth. Don't they have a genetic memory thing. And if he is just interested in psionics that we have the githyanki.
That's the second question, what exactly does he want from this transformation, like flesh warping knowldge. Because we can basically create what ever creature we want anyway. Like i don't think the players are better at that than us. We got the gith for psionics. What exactly do the players have that qyaburn would risk his soul for. Nothing we couldn't get in a day or two. Like if he is worried about age, can't he just reincarnate.
Sincerely i do not see what he gains from the risk.
Presumably there will be tangible benefits to Qyburn's method, but more importantly, it's a driving motivation for the character. He's been a good minion, so we can give him the opportunity to transcend the limitations which haunt him. There are other ways of doing that, rather than risking one of our top scientis. @Azel has already confirmed that would be a bad idea.Would something like fast healing reduce the dc on the heal checks?
Azel also confirmed that Qyburn has left behind extensive notes on his work thus far. If something goes wrong, his legacy will (un)live on.[X] Goldfish
@Goldfish do you think it would be a good idea to add asking him if he has a will ready in case things go tits up?
Can't we just grab a ulitharid then. Theres thousands of the thing. He is chasing some sort of psionic knowledge that the Ulitharid kept ludicrously well hidden and referenced it only vaguely in his research notes. So, no. Not something the Gith can just share.
It's something this Ulitharid had, not something all of them have. Can't we just grab a ulitharid then. Theres thousands of the thing.
We have gotten pretty good at capturing enimies. Like Qyburn already fought one, they can't be that rare.

Not gonna lie , seems like a huge coincidence. A ulitharid with such important knowledge just got taken by a two bit necromancer. Shouldn't he be heavily guarded. It's something this Ulitharid had, not something all of them have.
We can clone him, but the body would only be animated by his soul post mortem, making it useless as damage to mind and soul will carry over.I wish we had the means to clone Qyburn fully just in case we roll terribly. It would suck to lose him.

And even after its disappearance It would if Lya suddenly disappeared on us and we did nothing to ensure her knowledge wasn't subverted. Like you yourself said it would wipe out entire colonies for that knowledge. Should we be expecting an attack. Has the deep war gone hot. Cause I would love it if it did.
Where are the consequences of qyburns actions.
No. You misunderstand. If the Elder Brain knew this Ulitharid existed and had that knowledge, it would have mounted a full scale assault on Oldtown to destroy every trace of the Ulitharid and anyone who ever interacted with it.Not gonna lie , seems like a huge coincidence. Fair enough. The description of the importance of the knowledge gave the wrong impression. Can't be that powerful then.I mean all that stuff was done at the beginning of the quest when Viserys was still in Braavos. You could just as easily ask where the consequences of Viserys defeating Lileath are? Sometimes the mortals get lucky, they get wise and they win and it does not just mean Viserys.

It was working there entirely solo because he worked on something that the Elder Brain thinks nobody should have access to.
In this case I meant clone in the same way they clone people in, like they have in Altered Carbon. A full scan of the mind. The body doesn't matter, that's easily handled by the Flesh Forge. We can clone him, but the body would only be animated by his soul post mortem, making it useless as damage to mind and soul will carry over.
To be fair though, the Squids were very interested in the brain of the Ulitharid that we killed, to the point of following it up a few encounters later and even making our non-agression deal dependant on getting it back.I mean all that stuff was done at the beginning of the quest when Viserys was still in Braavos. They propably would have followed Qyburn for this, unless he killed a renegade similar to the Drowned God crowd.
I mean, it is Qyburn...Asking him to make arrangements in case of his death is rather morbid, if not unwarranted.
