Just a reminder, @DragonParadox, we now have 10 Inquisitor's Redoubt we can assign to Inquisition teams and other agents in the field. They're a good alternative to temporary safe houses and make finding lodgings in the road a good bit less difficult.

@Azel, with his connections, it wouldn't have been out of the question for Roose to have borrowed one for his solo trip through the North.

Eh. His connections are not really with the Inquistion. More the Fleshcrafters and the more specialized parts of the military. Basically where Qyburn hangs around.

As opposed to Walder, who gets high-quality gossip from the Scholarium and court.

Hey does anyone else have the suspicion the John Arryn's son could be a back up body?

Not particularly. Stealing the body of his son (if that really is his son in the first place) didn't exactly fit his character. That's more of a scheme to fit someone like Baelish.

We are suspicious, though, that the kid is a changeling.

Maybe but the fact that the kid only started growing when John died just makes it seem like the kid was a clone body or something like that.

I think that's more because Lysa probably made a stupid bargain with Fey.

Something along the lines of "I want my child to stay forever dependent on me" would conceivably keep the kid an infant for a good while longer than he's supposed to be.

We'll need to look into it soon.

Yeah best get that looked into just in case my suspicions are right, it wouldn't do for Blood Raven's hard work to be undone because we didn't make sure.

Not a lot of votes, but I need to start writing this now.

@Azel, now that we have MirrorVision, and Serpentstone for making audio and video recordings capable of surviving dead magic, what do we need to start making computers? I want Lya to build us a big Artifact Super Computer for the Imperial Palace.

Hoster is just not doing good in the Riverlands. Targ loyalists are preparing and causing trouble for him. Other Riverlords are see opportunities to gain power and influence. The Lads are just causing trouble, growing in numbers and waiting. Surprised it took him so long to go get help from Kingslanding.

Westeros is already a failed state. A completely failed state at that. It's basically everyone for themselves.
Heh, its going to be harder running Westeros than it is conquering it. :p

Seriously, if there isn't multiple courtly sessions that Viserys has to take part in every other week at least I will be incredibly surprised and assume people are plotting against us... more than usual at least.

At least once it happens we can focus on fighting the outside existential threats.

We can make it part of official Herald introductory hazing that the most recently enchanted Herald has to attend Court and make minor rulings in our name. The chances any of them will self-terminate are slim.

If someone wants an audience at Court, they can come to SD and hope their place in line gets them far enough before we move on to more important stuff.

The following:
- formal logic
- the notion of logic gates
- someone to puzzle basic parts into a binary calculator
- computational theory
- a whole damn lot of design work

Calculus would help too.

This is why we have a secret police force. For the stuff we can't blow up or talk through.

The Greeks had Calculus, and so I assume the Valyrians did too. @DragonParadox?

We did recover lots of mundane Valyrian lore, so...

Interlude DCCCLXVII: The Truth in Dark Places
The Truth in Dark Places

Sixth Day of the Second Month 294 AC

If Anya had been a different sort of inquisitor, more like Shara with her skill at masks and disguises, she would have tried sneaking into the offices of House Pazduk to read their ledgers. Luckily the local handlers were more than on top of things when covering the basics, who was more likely to know useful information about the shipment and what hours they worked. After learning that the path was straight as a launcher bolt. Yunkai did not lack for dark streets and she knew a thing or three about what went on in those corners when the poor and desperate spotted a plump mark sauntering down.

It was a great deal easier to impersonate a thug than the sort of person who might be ushered into the office and left unattended. Having two snake wizards and one of the new shadow dragons to help as well made her feel a good bit more confident about her chances of a smash and grab... even if they did have to keep to the shadows and human form respectively to avoid tipping their hand. Alright, enough second and third guessing yourself, nice and clean.

The merchant had one guard, an Unsullied, his face was marked with scars or burns and whose his tread marking his skill to Anya's eye. "Drop your coin pouch or I'll gut you like a fish, and your leashed eunuch too," the former lawman ground out a she stepped to confront the two. Her voice was heavy and gravely to match the guise she was now wearing. The dragon beside her gave a chillingly amused smile that no amount of glamour would be able to hide.

"Stay behind me," the guard said to his master as he pulled his short sword loose of its scabbard and charged. There was more urgency and care than you would think to find given their relationship.

Before Anya could ponder the thought for any length of time the warrior was upon them. She dodged just enough to let her armor take the brunt of the blow while avoiding an angle that would make it clear the patchy leather she had glamoured it as would have stood no chance. Down came the great sword glamoured as a simple club, striking with the flat of the blade right for the head. Not that she was expecting it to work, but the sting of an unseen mind dragon and a curse from her companion in brigandage sent the guard tumbling.

Only then did they notice the merchant pulling out a scroll and begin chanting words of translocation. Anya had no doubt that between everyone here they would be able to break the spell before it could take effect, but it would damage the ploy of a common mugging likely beyond repair. Half sprinting half jumping forward she made a grab for the scroll, tearing it out of the merchant's hand. In the brief moment before the inquisitor had brought her 'club' around the dragon in man's shape was upon the poor bastard, apparently keen to see if he could strangle a man into passing out.

The answer as it turned out was 'yes'.

"Alright then," Anya sighed. "The Lord Justice will be here to read his mind in a few minutes and then we can just leave him here one coin pouch lighter, his ultimate masters none the wiser."

"Unless this one too is possessed," the shadow dragon suggested again with chillingly good cheer. Luckily he would have to be disappointment today.

"The bone meal was delivered to one of the entrances to the old aquifer, alongside other arcane ingredients," The Lord Justice proclaimed looking at the still unconscious merchant, his oiled hair already in disarray. "There is a word of passage to allow the trades to happen, though how much it will help us I cannot say."

"The old aquifer..." Anya couldn't help but grumble. "Why is it our enemies all dig like bloody moles?"

"Plots are rather difficult to achieve under the light of day," Lord Vanor replied with a twitch of his lips that might have been the briefest of smiles. "Do you require assistance delving into the aquifer?"

What decision is reached?

OOC: Malarys does have teleportation so it would have been silly for him not to be involved in the interrogation when he can make it so much simpler and more difficult to trace.
