We have multiple high level spell casters here, surely one of them has a spell that works at long range that would be useful here?

As though that was not enough there were deathly wagons rolling around behind the hosts of the enemy alike to those used by the armies of Sahar and behind even them six spirits black as the storm clouds bound somehow with chains of true steel to an altar of bone upon which rested a hammer fit for a giant's hand.
These wagons are bad news and probably need to be targeted first. @DragonParadox, what's "true steel"?

Maybe let the flyers come to us?
It will be painful in regards to our normal soldiers, but if we have maximal time to let our artilerry and ships fire and the actual air-battle has to happen in range of our crossbows it will be easier.

And once that is done a counter-strike against the wagons and altar looks more reasonable.

[X] Let there be light!
-[X] Viserys will use a Miracle, while Dany and Lya use Inspired Spell and Wild Arcana respectively, to send a trio of Sunburst spells into the Storm Sorrows, overlapping the bursts where they can for maximum effect, but with priority placed on hitting as many as possible.
-[X] The Moonchasers and Manticores will lend the weight of their Beetle Bombs to the effort against the Storm Sorrows, while firing on the Chained Spirits and Bone Wagons with their Steam Cannons. They will use their +1 Ghost Touch rounds to target the spirits and wagons.
-[X] The Wyverns will harass any Storm Sorrows that break away from the larger flock and the Dragons will seek to engage any that get too close to our forces to safely bombard with explosives or spellfire.

An Air subtype undead? Wow, life (or undeath I guess) finds a way. It is such a weird combo.
Yeah, really strange combo. You don't see many Undead Elementals. The last time we did, I think it was when we first rescued Rockshaker in Molten Skies way back during our first foray off Plane.

If there wasn't so much other stuff going on, a Control Winds spell would probably screw these things up pretty badly. Fickle Winds/Wind Wall might work well against them, too.

I think anything that we do to cause storms here would be counterproductive. If its in the area of the gods storm, it will be taken over for his benefit. If its outside of that area, we're expanding his influence, and that is probably more dangerous than these things.

You know, regardless if we win this or not, we'll really have to expand our mental health program for soldiers in the time to come.

This is just one city's army, one of three, and our legions will likely continue to campaign and deal with great battles as well as small attacks for several more weeks, if not months.
All that against quite terrifying undead.

If we don't get really damn lucky and end this war soon and decisivly by killing some keystone-enemy or something like that, we'll have to start rotating soldiers out of combat duty and stuff like that.

Well, better we learn now how to deal with problems that can't be talked away in one fiery speech than later when facing Deep Ones or infernal legions.

*looks at sunburst description*

*does volume calculations*

Who says D&D does not have battlefield scale spells? :V
That 80 foot radius burst is bigger than it sounds at first, especially once you see the number of squares affected.

Another really large battlefield-scale that isn't hard to access is Flashburst, capable of temporarily blinding everyone within a 140 foot radius.

Greater Black Tentacles could qualify, too, with its 120 foot radius and excellent effect, but I'm not sure if any spell with Medium or shorter range should qualify as a battlefield spell.
