Not really.

If the spell came back online in 1d4 rounds the Dragons would have been much less dangerous.
They are too large to move properly in the ship if they can't move through walls.
Propably would have been cut to pieces if the spell came back while they are inside.
Huh. I thought items were suppressed for minutes, not rounds.

Indeed. Big difference there.

@DragonParadox, on the matter of a Wyvern continuing it's path without input, keep in mind that they are inherently unstable flyers due to having only one engine. Given time, they are guaranteed to spin out of control and spontaneously disassemble unless they crash into something anyway, even in a vacuum.

Dispel actually.

Forbiddance is a permanent spell, thus can be dispelled. Not a magic item that can only be surpressed.
The Forbiddance effect on the Moonchasers isn't just a Permanent spell, though. It's an effect generated by the ships like any other magic item, so it can be suppressed by a sufficiently powerful Dispel, but that only lasts for 1d4 rounds.

More spells.
Any ideas, @Azel? :V
The effect's essentially reverse Shadow of Doom, just without damage...
That is, until you use it on Plane of Fire. Then it's all pain. :V
Overall seems very... Other, sort of spell. @DragonParadox, note this one. :V
The ultimate "Glyra"-spell :o
Feels like it may need balancing, but otherwise, damn, do I want this in the Snare :/
@Goldfish, @Azel note.
Those look pretty interesting. You're right about Spell Suppression, though. Maybe a limit where a caster cannot suppress magic of a higher level than they can normally cast themselves?
How far out is Viserys and Co. from the battle site
We don't know for sure, though DP did say they were far enough away that the fight would likely be over with by the time they were close enough to help.

Interlude DCCLXXXV: Against the Lords of Night
Against the Lords of Night

Seventh Day of the First Month 294 AC

Young was Nirah Herald of the Timeless One and patient as only the deathless can be, but though a serpent's blood runs cold they know better than any other the virtues of striking swiftly and without warning. Hissing in displeasure against the touch of untimely snow upon its scales the serpent called upon the power of his Maker born of bargains made and bargains kept. Slowly, reluctantly, the curtain was pushed back for this was not yet its hour for all the wrath of the devourer denied prey long expected.

As the black veil drew back the herald beheld a strange sight indeed for where dragon and rider had grown thin and distant from the world, shimmering reflections in the ether barely seen even by his blessed gaze. The dead dragons was gripping two of the arcane machines in dripping false flesh claws, words of ruin hissing between their teeth.

The mortals who had once directed the mechanisms now swirled as tattered spirits above them, their features already fading into formless weapons of malice and spite.

Bolts of light flashed from on high as the remaining pair of their fellows sought a reckoning against the foe, tearing through the ice dragon's wings as he fled, but Nirath was more concerned with the wyrmwraith's working. Though he knew not the tongue of their enchantment he could guess its purpose. Bound in death as they were in life, possessed mechanisms under Winter's power, trophies to bear over the mountains onto the halls of Ever-Ice.

"Death is patient," the herald of Yss hissed in turn upon one of the specters-given-form, but the chains of their masters held them firm.

A moment later it was as though twin suns erupted amid snow and cutting winds for the crews of the great ship proved wise in choosing their targets. No shell remained for the specters to possess and the dead dragons' forms flashed and smoked with greedy arcane fire.

Two Wyverns Lost

At some unheard call of their masters the great specters shed their transient forms and dove into the earth, though not before Nirath spat a beam of sunfire upon the one most faded, banishing it at last from life.

The enemy was fleeing in truth now, the slaves through the earth, the master through the sky that was his domain. Were they all fleeing? the Serpent's Herald wondered, pondering the wisdom of his Maker. A vanquished foe was often filled with the venom of spite and the men of Thenn had few protections against the claws of the dead.

Leagues away in Thennhold a priestess garbed in crimson stepped from the shadows of a longhouse, her gaze jumping at once to the heavens. The storm was clearing, the Great Other had been dealt a blow this day, but she could feel its rage in the howling of the wind. If it could not sunder men's works and slay their champions it would content itself with claiming the souls of the meek.

Turning to her companions, the young, the odd, the uncanny and the half-dead, strange champions for the Lord of Light indeed but ones the priestess was glad for, she said: "Spread out, they will rise from the earth, we must slay them before they claim too many."

How do you give chase and defend Thennhold?

OOC: The Other and dragon are moving at 240 ft./round (haste), both are ethereal, probably due to a dragonrider bond. There will be a roll to see if Viserys can intercept. This vote is just about what those next to the Moonchaser do as well as any ideas you may have for Mell and company defending Thennhold.

Glad to see Others couldn't claim wyverns for themselves and likely corrupt them at least.

@DragonParadox population of Thenn is in Thennhold yeah? If so could we just make barrier of various wards around it so no undead can just phase through and such?

All of them are there yes, the trouble with making wide-scale wards is that they take a great deal of time to raise, particularly if you want to lock out CR 17 Wyrmwraiths.

We should put some people on that soul trap escaping project we were talking about a while ago. Enchanting that metal that innately absorbs souls to teleport/fly away with the wearer's soul when they die isn't perfect, but it's better than nothing.

Thennhold also full of warriors yeah? A decent fraction with magical weapons too? Could we focus on empowering people with wide scale buffs and focus more on dispelling enemy?

We have lots more warriors than there are enemies after all.

Here's an edited version of the chapter, DP.

We have lots more warriors than there are enemies after all.
I think the problem is that this is a spite fueled Zerg rush. Even if warriors in npc classes could be buffed high enough to fight them I'm skeptical of their ability to survive the effort or stop them from reaching the noncombatants.

It looks like Melisandre's group has managed to reach Thennhold. That's going to be helpful.

@DragonParadox, is it all right if I assume Melisandre has prepared an anti-Undead/Other spell list somewhat similarly to Nirah?

The Hadhayosh is around right? Could we load him up with the Thenns who can't defend themselves and have him play keep away while the other PCs kill the ghosts?
